Mega Victreebel has the ability to Pursuit trap, cripple things with a Sucker Punch that can paralyze, and has Strength Sap to heal itself to full and force switches on physical attackers. Its impressive 140 attack and respectable 95 speed make it a powerful offensive threat with some options to cripple foes, but its physical bulk is only okay with strength sap, and fast special attackers annihilate it.

Mega Darmanitan combines its usual, ridiculously hard-hitting self with its Zen-Mode, giving it an added Psychic-typing and fairly decent bulk. 105/85/85 bulk can take most neutral STAB hits thrown at it, and some weaker super-effective hits. This respectable bulk in tandem with a 165 attack and 110 speed makes Mega Darmanitan a fearsome wall breaker that can be difficult to dispatch quickly. Its new Passion ability also puts Mega Darmanitan's tremendous coverage to amazing use, making it highly customizable when it comes to what threats you want to beat. It is somewhat let down by its typing, though, and faster threats can still take advantage of it by outspeeding and hitting it super-effectively.
