Megas For All: V4! (Voting - Lickilicky, Togekiss, Dusknoir)

Would you guys be interested if I had MFA include Gen 8 mons when it comes out?

This looks very suspicious in an OU metagame. To start off, it's bulkier than Magearna, with a typing that's not easily exploitable. It also has very fast speed, able to invest to outspeed things like Landorus-Therian and still have the bulk for stuff like this:
+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 289-342 (77.2 - 91.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
(Floatzel heals 62.5%)
+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 166-196 (44.3 - 52.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Poison Heal
0 SpA Floatzel Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 132-156 (41.3 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Sure, its lowered stats means that it's more passive, but it can beat wallbreakers very easily by fishing for burns since it can heal 62.5% in one turn. This is ignoring the fact that it has teammates that can perform slow pivots for it to gain free health.
252 Atk Teravolt Kyurem-Black Fusion Bolt vs. +1 252 HP / 160+ Def Floatzel: 126-150 (33.6 - 40.1%) -- 99.9% chance to 4HKO after Poison Heal
+2 252 SpA Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Floatzel: 181-214 (48.3 - 57.2%) -- 4.3% chance to 2HKO after Poison Heal
+2 252 Atk Garchomp Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. +1 252 HP / 252+ Def Floatzel: 271-319 (72.4 - 85.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
Finally, what does being a lifeguard or having a life raft have to do with boosting Defense or healing HP constantly? It doesn't make much flavor sense either.
First of all, you would have to just spam Shore Up forever in order to deal with SSSS and similarly strong moves. Secondly, you did not include stealth rocks into your calculations. Thirdly, you show off all of these calculations but none of them compare to the power level of MFA. Fourth, Magearna has a lot more resistances. Fifth, Floatzel would not always have the needed stat boosted to take strong moves, and if you say Floatzel just switches in forever, it will not be able to tank powerful neutral hits more than two or three times in a match. Finally, if you think Floatzel is broken, what do you say about megas like Mega Swellow? Mega Floatzel is nowhere nearly as broken as you paint it out to be.

Mega Victreebel

Type: Grass / Dark
Ability:
Strangle Hold (Poison Touch variant, the user's contact moves have a 30% chance of paralyzing the target)
Stats:
HP: 80 (+0)
Attack: 145 (+40)
Defense: 90 (+25)
Sp. Attack: 110 (+15)
Sp. Defense: 70 (+0)
Speed: 95 (+25)
New Moves: Pursuit, Powder

Mega Victreebel has the ability to Pursuit trap, cripple things with a Sucker Punch that can paralyze, and has Strength Sap to heal itself to full and force switches on physical attackers. Its impressive 140 attack and respectable 95 speed make it a powerful offensive threat with some options to cripple foes, but its physical bulk is only okay with strength sap, and fast special attackers annihilate it. It at least has a niche Powder to get in a quick hit on Fire-types.

Mega Darmanitan

Type: Fire / Psychic
Ability:
Passion (Neuroforce variant, increases the power of super-effective moves by 50%)
Stats:
HP: 105 (+0)
Attack: 165 (+25)
Defense: 85 (+30)
Sp. Attack: 30 (+0)
Sp. Defense: 85 (+30)
Speed: 110 (+15)
New Moves: Psychic Fangs, Thunder Punch

Mega Darmanitan combines its usual, ridiculously hard-hitting self with its Zen-Mode, giving it an added Psychic-typing and fairly decent bulk. 105/85/85 bulk can take most neutral STAB hits thrown at it, and some weaker super-effective hits. This respectable bulk in tandem with a 165 attack and 110 speed makes Mega Darmanitan a fearsome wall breaker that can be difficult to dispatch quickly. Its new Passion ability also puts Mega Darmanitan's tremendous coverage to amazing use, making it highly customizable when it comes to what threats you want to beat. It is somewhat let down by its typing, though, and faster threats can still take advantage of it by outspeeding and hitting it super-effectively.

First of all, you would have to just spam Shore Up forever in order to deal with SSSS and similarly strong moves.
SSSS can only be used once, and its 175 BP has no other moves similar to it. You can see clearly that the Z-Move did an average of 84% while Earthquake did an average of 48%. When a move does significantly less damage (48) than is being recovered (~63), it doesn't take many turns to recover to full health.
Secondly, you did not include stealth rocks into your calculations.
This isn't a very good argument. This means I could propose unbanning Giratina, because +2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Supersonic Skystrike (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Giratina: 406-478 (80.7 - 95%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery. Does that mean it's balanced? Of course not. Any dedicated defensive team would prepare for Swords Dance Z-Fly Landorus-Therian by using common staples such as Skarmory or Zapdos, the former being especially undeterred by Stealth Rock because of its ridicuous physical bulk.
Thirdly, you show off all of these calculations but none of them compare to the power level of MFA.
The only changes are to megas, which you can only have one of. If Floatzel-Mega forces you to use an offensive mega, that shows how overcentralizing it is.
Fourth, Magearna has a lot more resistances.
Magearna also has exploitable weaknesses in Fire and Ground, which was my main point. Electric and Grass are less common and more easily handled. My examples included Landorus-Therian, Garchomp, and Kyurem-Black (which uses Earth Power) which Magearna cannot switch into.
Fifth, Floatzel would not always have the needed stat boosted to take strong moves, and if you say Floatzel just switches in forever, it will not be able to tank powerful neutral hits more than two or three times in a match.
But Floatzel can switch in multiple times a match. It heals 12.5% per turn and has the speed to heal the damage off quickly.
Finally, if you think Floatzel is broken, what do you say about megas like Mega Swellow?
I also think Mega Swellow is suspicious in an OU metagame. However, that's not a valid point to make to say that Mega Floatzel is not, because of Mega Swellow. Making overpowered submissions in an effort to counter existing overpowered submissions increases the power creep to where OU mons are not viable, and I'm sure you've had experience with this in your own pet mods.

Mega Darmanitan
type: Fire => Fire/Fighting
ability: Adaptability

Stats:
HP: 105
Atk: 140 => 155 (+15)
Def: 55 => 95 (+40)
SpA: 30
SpD: 55 => 85 (+30)
Spe: 95 => 110 (+15)
New Moves: Recover, Close Combat
Description: Darmanitan becomes a dangerous Physical attacker with great attack and speed stats, and Adaptability turns its STABs into insanely strong nukes. Recover is added so that Darmanitan doesn't destroy itself after firing of a few Flare Blitzes.

Mega Floatzel
Type: Water => Water/Electric
ability: Galvanize

Stats:
HP: 85
Atk: 105 => 135 (+30)
Def: 55 => 75 (+30)
SpA: 85
SpD: 50 => 80 (+40)
Spe: 115
New Moves: Extreme Speed
Description: Fast Physical attacker with nice STAB priority options in Galvanize-boosted Extreme Speed and Quick Attack, as well as Aqua Jet.

Mega Victrebell
Type: Grass/Poison => Grass/Poison
ability: Neurotoxin
(Special moves have a 30% chance to poison, and attacks are crits if opponent is poisoned. Merciless + special version of Poison Touch Clone. If this is broken, remove the Poison Touch clone part.)
Stats:
HP: 80
Atk: 105 => 125 (+20)
Def: 65 => 95 (+30)
SpA: 100 => 125 (+25)
SpD: 70 => 105 (+35)
Spe: 70 => 60 (-10)
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Flamethrower
Description: Mega Victrebell is a bulky mixed attacker with reliable recovery. Nasty Plot/Swords Dance to boost each attack stat, coupled with Neurotoxin makes Victrebell a dangerous threat.

Coming back in the game!

Mega Victrebell
Type: Grass/Electric
Ability:
Shock Toxin (Galvanize clone, turns Poison moves into Electric moves). If possible, turns poisoning effects into paralysis?
HP: 80
Atk: 105 --> 140 (+35)
Def: 65 --> 75 (+10)
SpA: 100 --> 110 (+10)
SpD: 70 --> 80 (+10)
Spe: 70 --> 105 (+35)
New Moves: Volt Switch, Thunder Fang
Description:
Victreebel ate some Vikavolts and is now super-charged. Gotta go fast!
All-out attacker or Sword Dancer, with Sucker Punch, Victreebel becomes a very threatening physical attacker. It decided to change its approach, poisoning foes being too slow. Zap them to death before swallowing them sounds like a better idea!
It's still able to rock the greath special attacks it packs (Weather Ball can be great with the Primals and other weather Megas), and has some new options in its new Volt Switch and the now-worth-it Leech Life.
Finally, this is somewhat of a personal taste but the attacks with a changing typing can be very fun to play with, as you can chose the right time to Mega-evolve in order to make the best use out of both typings.

Competitive Analysis
To end Mega Swampert’s reign here comes another Mega Swift Swimmer. Mega Floatzel has a lot more speed which means it can even fiddle with an Adamant nature. Water, Ice, and Grass coverage is also conveniently unresisted, which gives it a slot for Bulk Up, letting it set up on a myriad of physical attackers thanks to its good bulk, and pose even bigger of a threat. That being said, Ice Punch or Seed Bomb is still not strong enough to threaten Water-resistant Pokémon neutral to said moves. Mega Swampert also still gives it competition as it has much better bulk, Stealth Rock, and a wonderful typing.
Floatzel @ Floatzite
Ability: Water Veil
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall / Aqua Tail
- Seed Bomb
- Ice Punch

Darmanitan: Phoenix_Alchemist, -Latios, Anaconja
Floatzel: Lyd, Superstrike66, -Latios-
Victreebel: Superstrike66, -Latios-, Reviloja753

Anaconja wins Darmanitan, lyd wins Floatzel, and latios wins Victreebel.
Next slate is as follows:

Silvally III

Due to an issue where Silvally can't be made to change type because of an ability, Silvally-Normal will be getting a rework. All will have an ability limit of 4.5 and 3 new moves. However, you cannot give them Protean or Color Change.

Lemme know what you guys think about these custom sprite concepts. The concept here is that Silvally has some aspects from Arceus, which it's trying to imitate (hence RKS System, all the types, etc.).

1548050132804.png

Silvally-Mega
Type: Normal
Ability: Mold Breaker
HP • 95
Atk • 95 >> 135 (+40)
Def • 95 >> 105 (+10)
SpA • 95 >> 125 (+30)
SpD • 95 >> 105 (+10)
Spe • 95 >> 105 (+10)
BST • 570 >> 670 (+100)
New Moves: Earthquake, Psychic, Close Combat
Competitive Analysis: Silvally-Mega uses solid offensive stats to act as a great offensive pivot. Silvally's access to Swords Dance lets it punch holes into enemy teams. Earthquake compliments Silvally-Mega's normal STAB. Mold Breaker lets Silvally ignore Unaware users. Flamethrower differentiates Silvally-Mega from other popular Normal-types as a Normal-type that can destroy Scizor-Mega with a Flamethrower. Flame Charge could also be an option, doing solid damage at +2 and increasing speed.

Silvally-Mega • Blank Memory • Mold Breaker
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe • Jolly / Naive
Swords Dance • Return / Double Edge • Earthquake • Parting Shot / Flamethrower

1548049845559.png

Silvally-Ground-Mega
Type: Ground
Ability: Water Absorb
HP • 95
Atk • 95 >> 125 (+30)
Def • 95 >> 135 (+40)
SpA • 95 >> 105 (+10)
SpD • 95 >> 105 (+10)
Spe • 95 >> 105 (+10)
BST • 570 >> 670 (+100)
New Moves: Earthquake, Psychic, Close Combat
Competitive Analysis: Mega Silvally-Ground is one of the few Ground-types that can switch into Water-type attacks. With access to Defog and a good Ground typing, Silvally-Ground can be used as a fast Defogger and pivot. If it switched into a Choice Specs Greninja's Hydro Pump, for example, you can Parting Shot out and gain offensive momentum. The 152 SpA on the below set allows for a 100% OHKO on Garchomp with Ice Beam. Flamethrower is a solid option to cook Ferrothorn, Scizor, etc., but it has little room on the below set. Bulkier EV spreads are also plausible, but likely aren't as optimal as high speed.

Silvally-Ground-Mega • Ground Memory • Water Absorb
104 Atk / 152 SpA / 252 Spe • Naive
Earthquake • Ice Beam • Parting Shot • Defog

1548049903009.png

Silvally-Flying-Mega
Type: Flying
Ability: Regenerator
HP • 95
Atk • 95 >> 105 (+10)
Def • 95 >> 105 (+10)
SpA • 95 >> 125 (+30)
SpD • 95 >> 135 (+40)
Spe • 95 >> 105 (+10)
BST • 570 >> 670 (+100)
New Moves: Earthquake, Psychic, Close Combat
Competitive Analysis: Mega Silvally-Flying possesses far greater bulk than Tornadus-Therian at the cost of a mega stone, less speed, and no Hurricane or Knock Off. Flamethrower OHKOs Mega Scizor, and Ice Beam allows for OHKOs on Garchomp, Gliscor, and Landorus. Parting Shot lets Mega Silvally-Flying become an excellent pivot in tandem with Regenerator. Regenerator also lets Defog become more reliable for removing Stealth Rock, but Flying-STAB in Air Slash can be used if your team already has hazard removal. Silvally-Flying-Mega can paralyze its checks Thunder Wave.

Silvally-Flying-Mega • Flying Memory • Regenerator
128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe • Timid
Flamethrower • Ice Beam • Parting Shot • Defog / Air Slash / Thunder Wave

1548049968346.png

Silvally-Fighting-Mega
Type: Fighting
Ability: Intimidate
HP • 95
Atk • 95 >> 135 (+40)
Def • 95 >> 125 (+10)
SpA • 95 >> 105 (+30)
SpD • 95 >> 105 (+10)
Spe • 95 >> 105 (+10)
BST • 570 >> 670 (+100)
New Moves: Earthquake, Psychic, Close Combat
Competitive Analysis: Silvally-Fighting-Mega has perfect coverage except for Water/Bug-type Pokemon. Intimidate, coupled with 125 defense, lets Silvally-Fighting pressure Pokemon like Kartana, Landorus-Therian that don't have Supersonic Skystrike, etc. At +2, Pokemon like Toxapex and Landorus are OHKO'd by the correct coverage move. Celesteela is OHKO'd 75% of the time by a +2 Close Combat. Pokemon that hit Silvally-Fighting, like Tornadus-Therian or Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, stop it in its tracks or prevent it from setting up entirely.

Silvally-Fighting-Mega • Fighting Memory • Intimidate
4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe • Jolly
Swords Dance • Close Combat • Earthquake • Ice Fang / Ice Beam

1548050023320.png

Silvally-Psychic-Mega
Type: Psychic
Ability: Magic Guard
HP • 95
Atk • 95 >> 105 (+10)
Def • 95 >> 105 (+10)
SpA • 95 >> 135 (+40)
SpD • 95 >> 125 (+30)
Spe • 95 >> 105 (+10)
BST • 570 >> 670 (+100)
New Moves: Earthquake, Psychic, Close Combat
Competitive Analysis: Silvally-Psychic-Mega has great 95/105/125 bulk alongside Magic Guard, meaning hazards and statuses won't do damage. This bulk compliments Mega Silvally-Psychic's good special attack stat and average speed. Silvally-Psychic is best when opting for a 3 attacks set. Close Combat, with 44 Atk, OHKOs Tyranitar and Greninja after Stealth Rock, while 2HKO'ing Heatran. This makes up for Silvally's lack of Focus Blast. Hasty ensures Greninja (pre-Ash) does not OHKO with Dark Pulse and Heatran has a harder time.

Silvally-Psychic-Mega • Psychic Memory • Magic Guard
44 Atk / 212 SpA / 252 Spe • Hasty
Psychic • Flamethrower
• Parting Shot / Defog • Close Combat

Mega Silvally Ground
Ability:
RKS System ----> Sand Force
Typing: Ground

Stats:
HP:
95 ----> 95
Attack: 95 ----> 125 (+30)
Defense: 95 ----> 95
Special Attack: 95 ----> 95
Special Defense: 95 ----> 145 (+50)
Speed: 95 ----> 115 (+20)
BST: 570 ----> 670
Movepool Additions: Earth Power, Bulldoze
Description: Project: Beast Killer, with this enhanced Memory, is now optimized to fight UBs Symbiont, Lighting, Assembly, and Burst. Its insulative armor allows it to take less damage from most moves from those UBs, minus Assembly, and deliver a powerful Ground-type Multi-Attack in return. It also strikes harder in sand, indicating a particular affinity, the sand in question also being a preferred weather condition for UBs Symbiont and Assembly. All in all, a powerful Pokémon that can hunt down most UBs, though combat against UB Assembly needs testing.

Lore aside, it helps check a good number of Special Attackers if running a bulky Offensive set or can just run max Speed in tandem with SD and 125Atk. Considering it also has Flame Charge as coverage to further bolster said Speed and Rock Slide on top of that...

Btw, do each of the Silvally forms act as separate Pokemon? If that's the case I can change my new moves in my OP, but I was unsure as to how that would work in the teambuilder / coding.

Silvally (Psychic) -Mega
Ability: RKS System ----> Strong Jaw
Typing: Psychic

Stats:

HP: 95 ----> 95
Attack: 95 ----> 145 (+50)
Defense: 95 ----> 115 (+20)
Special Attack: 95 ----> 105 (+10)
Special Defense: 95 ----> 95
Speed: 95 ----> 115 (+20)
Base Stat Total: 570 ----> 670
Movepool Additions: Psychic Fangs
Description: Psychic Silvally was programmed to be a smart and calm Pokemon. However, coding error resulted it to delevoping large fangs and an uncontrollable aggression.

Silvally Psychic is quite different from other Psychics, mainly because it is a physical attacker. Its STAB Strong Jaw Psychic Fangs is powerful enough to sweep teams, and it has powerful coverage moves in Crunch among a wide physical movepool. Swords Dance boosts its power even further.

Damn this thread is dead :psycry:
I'd say, too many pokimanes for this round and they're too similar, the engagement for the slate is low.

Normal : Anaconja
Psychic : MegaFlareon
Fighting : -Latios-
Ground : Anaconja

I have an important announcement to make. I've been debating over whether to make a new thread or to try and balance out the existing broken megas. Either way, submissions will be closed whilst something is figured out.
