I didn't get a trade able copy when i bought it. I did get steam activation keys, if that's what you mean. They may become trade able after you activate them though.

Yeah I'm almost sure that'd happen after activating the key, but they will only become tradable gifts for those you already own on your steam library.

^No, even if you already own them, you won't get any tradable copies of the games if you redeem the key. It says this right under the Steam keys section of the download page:
"Steam will not provide extra giftable copies of games you already own."
