Hello everyone, we are proud to present the fifth official OU Championship! This tournament will feature the top 16 SV OU players from the OU circuit in order to see who can walk away with the OU ribbon
.

Specific Rules
  • The format for this tournament is SV OU best of three.
  • Replays are required. Playing on the Smogtours server is recommended to ensure that replays are saved.

All standard clauses apply:
  • Sleep Clause: If a player has already put an opposing Pokémon to sleep using a sleep inducing move and that Pokémon is still sleeping due to that sleep inducing move, the player cannot put another opposing Pokémon to sleep using a sleep inducing move.
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same species of Pokémon on their team, based on the National Pokedex Number. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
  • Evasion Clause: Players cannot use Double Team or Minimize in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
  • OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
  • Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any pokemon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.

Before doing predicts, I think it's a fun idea to go back a bit and see how all of this people got here

1. Vert - Won OST and made it to the finals of both OU spring seasonal and OLT
2. JJ09LIE - Won OU Stour Tour and had a good run in OLT, Autumn seasonal and Last Chance
3. dunoks - Won OU spring seasonal and had a good run in Fall seasonal
4. Luirromen - Won OU Last Chance and had good runs in everything but Smogon Tour and OLT
5. bb skarm - Won OU fall seasonal
6. Mada - Top 8 in OU Spring Seasonal
7. lax - Won OLT
8. BaddyGames - Made it to the finals of OU fall seasonal
9. Finchinator - Good runs in Fall seasonal and Last Chance
10. yone - Made it to the finals of OU Stour Tour
11. Joeshh - Good run in Spring seasonal
12. Stellar Flames - made it to the finals of OST
13. We Three Kings - Made it to the finals of Stour Tour
14. Sylveon Used Calm Mind - Semi finals in OST
15. bhkg - Good run in Autumn seasonal
16. Xiri* - Good run in Spring seasonal and Stour tour

Nat (who declined) was in 14 place, and had a good run in OST, Smogon Tour and OLT

With that said, my predicts are

Vert vs Xiri: Vert is the name of the game, and a master in offense, and he has been incredible all gen

JJ09LIE vs bhkg: I'm not familiar with any of these 2

dunoks vs Sylveon used calm mind: Gliscor is OU again, so I think you guys know what time it is

Luirromen vs We Three Kings: we stan Luirromen in this house

bb skarm vs Stellar Flares: I'm not familiar with any of these 2

Mada vs Joeshh: Mada is a monster when it comes to prep, he analyzes every action, every team order, every detail he can get and use it to his advantage, and I think his concentration is gonna pay off

lax vs yone: I know lax has more things in his name, but he tends to get haxed, a lot, but the leader of the jerk will not go down this easily

BaddyGames vs Finchinator: After his great run in SCL, he has reminded people that his title of tier leader is well-earned, big stall has no escaping

also shoutouts to Mister McLovin for almost making it, next year is gonna be his year, and he is gonna do back to back to back 6-0s
