  1. Other Counter That Pokemon! (Final Battle Friday @ 12 PM EST)

Since Landorus isn't carrying Sludge Wave: Sylveon @ Leftovers Ability: Pixilate EVs: 252 HP, 56 Def, 200 SDef Calm nature - Hyper Voice - Wish - Heal Bell - Protect Avoids the 2HKO from Lando's Earth Power and Kube's Fusion Bolt Wins against them both one on one with Wish, Protect and/or...
  2. Pokémon Aegislash

LO Aegislash usually finds itself switching in and out repeatedly to spam neutral Shadow Balls whenever it gets the chance, usually on forced switches. Weakness Policy Aegislash doesn't play the same way because you wouldn't want to switch out at all and lose that +2. It's a good item on...
  3. Pokémon Aegislash

So what exactly is this SubToxic set that I'm hearing?
  4. XY OU Toxicroak team

One quick change to Toxicroak: change X Scissor to Sucker Punch. If you worry about Psychic types capitalizing on the double weakness, Sucker Punch also hits super effectively while going first as a priority attack. Poison/Fighting/Dark also gets way better neutral coverage than Poison/Fighting/Bug.
  5. Pokémon Banette

You mean Adamant nature, right? You're not using any special moves, unless you want lower defense to die more easily for Destiny Bond, but I'd run max speed instead of HP if that were the case. Sorry for the little nitpick. Aside from that, I think that Mega Banette's greatest asset is the best...
  6. np: XY UU Stage 1 - Reload [Salamence: BL | Next: DROPS!!!]

Revenge killing a dark type doesn't work; it doesn't have a problem switching out.
  7. Other Counter That Pokemon! (Final Battle Friday @ 12 PM EST)

Outspeeds neutral invested base 80s before evolving and base 70s after evolving Mostly for Bisharp You could run 148 speed EVs instead to outpace max Azumarill (and the creeping defensive Rotom) if it's of any concern.
  8. np: XY UU Stage 1 - Reload [Salamence: BL | Next: DROPS!!!]

If they drop soon enough, we'll have some fighting priority to help revenge Crawdaunt: 252 SpA Life Orb Lucario Vacuum Wave vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 252-299 (94 - 111.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO 252 Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Infernape Mach Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Crawdaunt: 203-242 (75.7 -...
  9. np: XY UU Stage 1 - Reload [Salamence: BL | Next: DROPS!!!]

Then you have things like Rotom H and C who doubly resist either STAB and the rest of the moveset, but, of course, they don't have spammable instant recovery. They could Trick it a scarf at best, and Rotom H might do a bit with Overheat, but eh.
  10. Resource ORAS OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

It's not used as much in OU, but Hitmontop has the niche of using Foresight on spin blocker switch-ins and then spinning. In OU's case, Foresight into High Jump Kick/Close Combat probably hurts Aegislash quite a bit, but then it can King's Shield against the former move. Aside from that move...

Having a team without a mega isn't exactly moronic; if the synergy can't be further improved with a mega, then don't force yourself to use one. I, myself, have a few teams without one, the best one probably being: Ferrothorn Mamoswine Bisharp Excadrill Gyarados Jellicent Flaw in this team being...
  12. Pokémon Blastoise

This is my current set: Mega Blastoise Torrent (Mega Launcher) 236 HP, 252 SpA, 20 Speed Modest - Rapid Spin - Dark Pulse - Water Pulse - Dragon Pulse Water/Dark/Dragon has nifty neutral coverage, only being resisted by Whimsicott and Azumarill, but I sometimes feel the pain of not having Aura...
  13. Pokémon Hydreigon

+1 252 Atk Hard Stone Hydreigon Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Florges: 347-409 (96.3 - 113.6%) -- 75% chance to OHKO I avoided LO because, well, Head Smash + LO really doesn't mix well. It's either it outspeeds Haxorus or it sacrifices speed for wall breaking power: Switching to a Naughty...

Almost anything with a physical Fighting attack can dispose of Tyranitar. You have Breloom, Conkeldurr, Infernape and Terrakion as OU-viable mons with fighting stab, the first three having Mach Punch and Terrakion not being cripplingly weak to bird spam. Edit: The phone is getting really bad at...
  15. Other The Next Best Thing

Tyranitar @ Leftovers Sand Stream 252 HP, 60 Atk, 196 SDef Careful - Thunder Wave - Roar / Dragon Tail - Rock Slide - Pursuit This is definitely my favorite set to use in sand-offense teams. This Tyranitar is built to assist Mega Garchomp by parashuffling whatever it can as well as pursuit...

Where should I go to learn how to crack stall teams?
  17. Pokémon Noivern

Instead of Normal Gem or Life Orb, you could use a Silk Scarf for Boomburst.
  18. Other The Next Best Thing

    Voting for Mowtom
  19. Other Counter That Pokemon! (Final Battle Friday @ 12 PM EST)

Freeze Dry would at least discourage Rotom-W from being a pick, and I believe that may be huge later on, considering how easy it can be to just paste the washing machine onto a team to cover weaknesses and/or have another VoltTurner. Rotom-H would be the next best option for a Rotom form, and...
  20. Other Counter That Pokemon! (Final Battle Friday @ 12 PM EST)

Mamoswine @ Life Orb Thick Fat 252 Atk, 16 SpA, 236 Speed Naive - Earthquake - Freeze Dry - Icicle Spear - Ice Shard The Freeze Dry set is Mamoswine's best way of getting around the most used Pokémon in OU, Rotom-Wash, all at the same time utilizing what is considered to be the best offensive...
