    Pokémon Talonflame

Whoa! Shots fired! In actuality you are sort-of right; my post was lacking. However it was not meant as a troll, so I guess that means that I'm not very intelligent? Even though roost has priority, Talonflame is still frail enough were it is always beneficial to attack instead of heal, unless...

    Pokémon Talonflame

Talonflame is not good. Priority does not compensate for the low states that destroy it's chances of being good in the current bulky OU metagame. Seriously guys, stop using it so it can sink to UU, where it will be 10 times more effective.

I like this set a lot. Might I suggest running aqua jet in place of surf? I think the priority outweighs the fact that dnite would be special. Don't use LO, as it takes survivability down a notch and makes multiscale useless when going up against slower mons.

Item Choice Scarf (Role in the Meta)

Choice scarf is used primarily on trick users. I see less mons running it solely for the speed boost that it provides, even though the boost is quiet substantial.

    Move Power-Up Punch

You could run this move on a Krookodile to finish things off, as it can get a p-punch boost and a moxie boost. Krookodile is not great, and running this over coverage is not the best of ideas.

Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

Oh yeah good point. Maybe not so ridiculous, especially with that chance to confuse. No, it was just straight up fly with Leftovers of all things. Even then fly is irrelevant while it has access to Sky Attack, which does the exact same thing with more BP. With power herb I would not have called...

Other Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder: V2

While messing around on the the Pandora server after my school IP got banned, I ran into a guy who was running a Hawlucha with fly and a Mega-Blastiose with water pulse. I'm pretty sure he forgot to give his mons EV's too.

    Pokémon Talonflame

The problem with Talonflame is that it's so weak. Even a banded set can't beat the bulky mons that currently dominate the metagame. It was great when the gen 6 metagame first started, but it currently can't do much on its own. Also talonflame is the sole reason behind the rise of rotom-wash...

    Pokémon Florges

Florges is so fun to use. It's defenses are good enough to switch in and get an aromatherapy off, which is almost essential with all the rotom-w's. It works well and can crush opponents with no sp.D investment, even with minimal investment itself. I wish it got a cooler secret ability, but all...

    Move Sticky Web

Yeah, it's kind of over-hyped. With most sweepers having priority, it doesn't help much. Its also a stat change so it can be negated via a switch, unlike SR. A rapid spinner can get rid of it with barley any negative impact on your team.

Mega Metal Mantis Mania: An XY warstory

Sure, it could have gone better, but he still won, didn't he? Try to critique, not criticize. Perhaps he is indeed a hardened competitive veteran, and was just having a bad day. We don't know unless he tells us. Anyways... I love clutch battles like this. It seems like there were hiccups abound...

    Other Viable Megas

An interesting theory. I guess we'll all see how the metagame develops. Until then nothing is certain. I think that a lot of people will use multiple megas on a team. Maybe just to psyche people out into thinking that Scizor is going mega, when really it's Tyranitar you have to look out for...

    Other Viable Megas

See, wasn't that a wonderful learning experience? (for me) Sense Mega's don't revert when they switch out, you could switch into a different mon to deal with Tyranitar, or even back into Charizard to put drought back up. However you are correct, this would probably screw you over later. So if...

How so? Please elaborate, Isn't Mega Charizard both faster than tyranitar as well as having instant solarbeam?

Pokémon the starters role in the metagame

Spiritomb is always causing trouble for everyone. With the addition of fairy types, maybe Blastoise could learn one of those, although it seems VERY unlikley. I have my fingers crossed.

PingPongCop, Hawlucha may be similar to Weavile, but in reality it is much more defensive. It's typing is kind of odd. It's just meh.

    Other Viable Megas

What about that Speed Boost mega Blaziken? In playing a couple of online matches I managed to run into 4 people using it in a row, however I was able to kill it in one hit using mega Blastoise. Speaking of mega Blastoise, his mega makes him able to become a much better offensive revenge killer...

Other 6th Gen Pokemon OU Candidate Speculation Thread

What's everybody's opinion on Florges? I've been taking one into online matches to deal with dragons, but it usually gets wrecked before it can get off a moonblast. Although its special defense is good, its defense is not good enough for it to function as a tank.
