Approved Tournaments room staff moderation in tours hosted by Lady Monita

Currently room staff of Tournaments has no access to moderation in battles from tournaments hosted by Lady Monita, because the battles happen through pm challenges. This means that, for example, if Tournaments room staff notices a player in one of these battles is spamming, saying something slightly inappropriate or doing anything else that would require a hidetext, but not a tour disqualification, Tournaments staff wouldn't be able to do anything here and would need to get a global for handling minor issues like these. These tournaments hosted by Lady Monita and the battles which happen in them are a part of the Tournaments room, however. So it would make sense if room staff would have access to the moderation abilities it has in the room tours and in the room itself already in the battles of these Lady Monita-hosted tours as well.

This would most likely need a new command for room drivers and up to create 'official' room challenges between users that would enable Tournaments room staff to have access to moderation in Lady Monita tours. Something like '/setupchallenge userA, userB' which would then require both users in the chat room to be present could work.

Cheers :)

Why not just have Monita moderate for you?
Or rather, have Monita commands to make it punish in that room if it's a tour. Would probably be easier for the bot owner to do since they have access to that tour data.

That is technically possible to add, but Lady Monita isn't designed to handle any moderation outside of link breaking tournament battles for scouting. It would also require copying over the argument validation of server commands which isn't a good practice in my opinion.

There are other benefits of something like /setupchallenge too, such as no longer relying on players to challenge each other correctly, no need to verify pending challenges with !checkchallenges, making it feasible to add custom rules to these tournaments, and even use in events or games where scripted tournaments don't fit.
