Overview
========
- Good attack and great speed makes it good offensively
- Access to the amazing ability Sheer Force makes its moves extremely powerful
- A wide movepool that allows it to to lure its standard checks effectively
- Below average bulk that leaves it easily taken down if it can't KO the target
- Cannot easily take down physical walls such as Steelix and Slowbro
- Competition with Braviary, Dodrio, and Heliolisk for offensive Normal Types
[SET]
Name: All-out Attacker
Move 1: Body Slam
Move 2: Earthquake
Move 3: Fire Blast
Move 4: Zen Headbutt
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Nature: Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Moves
========
- Body Slam is the most reliable STAB that won't cause recoil, thanks to the Sheer Force boost it hits just as hard
- Earthquake hits Rock, Poison, and Steel types like Togedemaru and hits Aftermath users like Garbodor and Skunktank, but it doesn't gain a Sheer Force boost
- Fire Blast 2HKOes Steelix, and it gains the boost from Sheer Force, though watch out Steelixs running more SpDef EVs to survive this
- Zen Headbutt hits Fighting and Poison types like Venusaur, Hitmonlee, and Toxicroak hard
- Iron Head hits Rock types better than Earthquake because of Sheer Force and hits Fairy types like Aromatisse and Mega Audino very hard.
- Iron Tail can be used over Iron Head, while it has better offensive potential and can 2HKO Mega Audino and Granbull, but it is a lot less reliable
- Rock Climb can be used over Body Slam for more power but a less reliable accuracy
========
- Max Attack makes Tauros hit at its maximum potential
- The small investment in Special Attack can make sure Fire Blast hits slightly harder, especially against Steelix without SpDef investment
- Max Speed and Naive nature makes Tauros outspeed most of the unscarfed opposiotion
- Sheer Force ignores Life Orb's recoil damage, but still gives the damage boost, making this combination extremely hard hitting.
Usage Tips
========
- Tauros is great at finishing off slower Pokemon and getting OHKOs on Pokemon that can't handle one of it's coverage moves.
- Due to its massive offense, it is good at forcing switches, and luring in tanks like Steelix and Ghost Types like Jellicent
- While it has a pretty solid Defense, its decent HP and pretty poor Special Defense leaves it easily taken out by attackers that can take Tauros's offensive moves
- Tauros doesn't appreciate losing its Life Orb, so being hit with Knock Off isn't very good for it
- While its Speed is great, Choice Scarf users can still outspeed Tauros
Team Options
========
- Wish users like Mega Audino and Aromatisse that can get a weakened Tauros back in the game
- Heal Bell users can get rid of burn and paralysis
- Hazard setters that can help Tauros get the chip damage Tauros needs to KO
- Pokemon that can set up Thunder Wave or Toxic, as Toxic can destroy walls that aren't easily KOed by Tauros and Thunder Wave makes sure Tauros can outspeed almost anything
- Pursuit users like Sneasel and Skuntank that trap Ghost types who usually bother Tauros
- Tauros appreciates teammates with Knock Off who can remove Eviolite and Leftovers
Other Options
========
- Tauros can scare the opponent into switching so Pursuit is usable
- Rock Slide gains a Sheer Force boost and hits Fire and Flying types hard, but doesn't hit Steelix, Garbodor, or Togedemaru as hard as Earthquake or Fire Blast would
- Choice Scarf can make sure Tauros outspeeds a lot more Pokemon at the expense of being locked into a move and having worse offense
Checks and Counters
========
**Priority**: Priority users such as Hitmonlee and Kangaskhan can make work of a weakened Tauros
**Faster Pokemon**: Though not much outspeeds Tauros without a Speed boost by Scarf or weather, but what does outspeed Tauros can get an easy OHKO or 2HKO on a weakened Tauros
**Burn and Paralyze**: Tauros is great offensively because of his amazing Attack and Speed, and being Burned or Paralyzed is very bad for Tauros
**Defensive Walls**: Even with Life Orb and Sheer Force, Tauros struggles taking down the likes of Steelix, Slowbro, and Piloswine who can in turn 2HKO Tauros
