Heatran @ Leftovers / Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Steel / Grass
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Torch Song
- Make It Rain / Tachyon Cutter
- Earth Power
- Substitute / Stealth Rock

This volcanic dweller has awoken and is ready to smolder its foes thanks to its excellent typing giving it some powerful, newfound moves! Make It Rain and Tachyon Cutter in combination with the boosts from Torch Song tear through common defensive pieces such as Tyranitar and Meloetta. Earth Power gets rid of foes that can take on its STAB combination such as Raging Bolt, Volcanion, opposing Heatran, and with enough boosts even RegenVest Toxapex. Leftovers can support Heatran's superb defensive typing, while Substitute + Air Balloon lets you safely set up on Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Gliscor. Tera Steel turns your Steel-type moves into nuclear threats, while Tera Grass lets you turn the tables on Water- and Ground-types like Volcanion, Great Tusk, Ting-Lu, as well as all Ogerpon formes. Without Tera however, Heatran falters against previously mentioned Ground- and Water-types as well as Fighting-types, which makes teammates such as Toxapex, Skarmory, Gliscor, and Landorus-T excellent partners. Heatran also appreciates faster allies such as Iron Valiant, Choice Scarf Gholdengo, and Latios, as they can both force out threats like Urshifu-R and Galarian Zapdos while also being able to clean up after Heatran has weakened the opponent's defenses.

The Lava Dome Pokemon has awoken, and is ready to turn its foes into a crisp! Make It Rain is a powerful nuke in conjunction with boosts from Torch Song, while Tachyon Cutter trades power for more consistency, letting you keep your Torch Song boosts. Earth Power handles Raging Bolt and Fire-types such as Volcanion and opposing Heatran, and with enough boosts allows you to break through RegenVest Toxapex. Substitute in combination with Air Balloon lets you safely set up on Ground-types such as Landorus-T or Gliscor, Leftovers gives Heatran some needed recovery to support its excellent defensive typing, and Stealth Rock lets you pressure defensive switch-ins. Tera Steel boosts Make It Rain and Tachyon Cutter to extreme levels, while Tera Grass lets you turn the tables on Water- and Ground-types such as Ogerpon-W(every Ogerpon), Great Tusk, and Volcanion, Ting Lu, Rotom Wash. Without Tera however, Heatran falters against previously mentioned Ground- and Water-types( And Fighting types), which makes teammates such as Rotom-Wash, Skarmory, and Toxapex, Gliscor, Landorus-Therian, excellent partners. Heatran also appreciates faster allies such as Choice Scarf Gholdengo and Latios Iron Valiant, Landorus-Therian, as they can both force out threats like Urshifu-R and Galarian Zapdos, while also being able to clean up after Heatran has weakened the opponents defenses.
