Yep it's been a great taunter for the past few gens.

Just commenting that I'd find Mental Herb as a very attractive option on this, just to turn the tables on opposing faster taunters and possibly toxic something else, since from my experience the opponent often switches out if their taunt lead is on the passive side.
This isn't a suicide lead or an HO lead, so Leftovers are a lot more useful for keeping Skarmory from getting worn down. Mental Herb is kind of wasted especially during a longer game where Leftovers would be missed sorely.

Slow-king @ Heavy-Duty Boots Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Ark / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off
- Calm Mind

This used to be a super standard set but now with Teleport and Future Sight, plenty of people aren’t prepping for this anymore.
Most importantly, you completely dismantle teams that rely on CM Hatterene to beat Slowking, especially if you add some creep for Hatt. You also beat teams that rely on their own Slowking Teleporting to special attackers like Toxtricity and Chandelure to force Slowking out since neither OHKO you at +1 while you OHKO them both. Lastly, you have a good match up vs teams that rely on chipping Slowking with weak moves like Rotom-W Volt Switch into Incineroar.

Because you lack Teleport and Future sight this set probably works best on teams with strong defensive cores and don’t need Teleport to bring slow attackers out.

Mudsdale @ Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam / Body Press / Smack Down
- Earthquake
- Protect

Lilburr's discovery I wanted to try for myself and I found myself surprisingly often carried by it.

The given ev spread ensures you live a +2 lo close combat from lycanroc dusk while the SpD evs allow you to somewhat check mixed jirachi, since ebelt energy ball does 55% maximum ; on top of allowing you to keep rocs against stuff like draco meteor noivern and non wisp weezing, depending on your coverage pick. Heavy Slam is nice for catching those and Hatterene, but depending on the team one could easily go for the seemingly broken body press + stamina combo (even if that was somewhat disappointing in practice) or smack down. Protect could also be replaced by a coverage option or toxic but I found it nice to add some passive recovery with leftovers, allowing you to fully abuse the "absorbing hits and let stamina do the job" shenanigan. It also allows you to scout some scarfers, like the gaining in popularity mowtom, mienshao or keldeo, once you figured out their sets.

Overall and no matter what set you're using it's a really fun mon thanks to natural bulk, stamina and multiple options to catch its checks. I've been enjoying it a lot and I thought I would share because it seems criminally underrated.

For what it's worth, here's a replay or Mudsdale basically winning by itself after I toxic'd the only check : https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8uu-1174941368-qspbbn03h2k3djozyj5yah5jrhb9kmypw

Toxtricity @ Throat Spray
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Shift Gear
- Boomburst
- Drain Punch
- Snarl / overdrive

A set I've been playing around with on screens offense. A similar set has been running around OU with drain punch to beat blissey, but it also works well in UU. I've been seeing far less of things like steelix and copperajah so this set works pretty well rn. Drain beats tyranitar most of the time without screens and always with screens, which often seems to be the only "reliable" tox check on many teams . It resists coba's STAB avoiding 2hko without screens and drains it's health, kills bisharp at +1, which overdrive doesn't unless you've already procced throat spray.

Snarl was originally for Palossand and Doublade, which have both fallen to around 6% usage, and does good damage to Bronzong and jirachi, easily 2hkoing offensive jirachi, as well as being a niche tech behind screens to lower spatk on an attack from something like opposing Celebi or Hatterene, and possibly give an easier time to the next mon trying to set up over their -1.

However, Palossand usage seems to have dropped so overdrive may be better at this point. Beating skarm is more difficult without overdrive, but skarm can't touch Tox unless it's whirlwind, so drain will 1v1 and boomburst will 2hko at +1. Boomburst 2hkos tentacruel and it can't really touch Tox in return. Also I see a lot of players who will just forfeit assuming I have overdrive when I haven't revealed snarl.

Jellicent @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 140 HP / 252 SpA / 116 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Spout / Hydro Pump
- Shadow Ball
- Strength Sap / Recover
- Taunt / Ice Beam

(116 Spe for Seismitoad and defensive Incin, or 216 Spe for Golurk)

Cool set that I shamelessly adapted from an SM PU set made by gum. Water + Ghost coverage is actually really nice in this tier rn, hitting everything neutrally bar Heliolisk (which actually completely counters you lol), and its got the nice typing + coverage to check and get breaking opportunities off very common pokemon like Weezing, Slowking, Keldeo, Cobalion.

Boots + Water Spout gives you an obscene damage output without hazards hindering your ability to get max power Spouts, while Shadow Ball hits a bunch of water resists like Rotom-W / Rotom-M / Noivern hard enough. Hydro Pump is an option over Spout which is a bit more consistent in damage output but has accuracy issues. Use Strength Sap if you use Water Spout for the full heals, use Recover otherwise for more consistent healing.

Being an offensive mon that can easily fit Taunt is nice too, letting it break its way through stuff like Gastrodon and Umbreon, Ice Beam is definitely an option to take out Noivern, have somthing that can hit Heliolisk, and hit Mowtom harder if these mons don't really bother your team and you want a better Noivern matchup.

Zoroark @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast
- Taunt / Flamethrower / Nasty Plot / Knock Off

fun gimmick that pairs well with some boots users (noivern) / boots spam. zoro isnt all that strong w/o LO but dark stab is pretty spammable and it has the coverage options to hit what its teammates lure in super effectively. boots sells the bluff harder when you're disguising yourself as shit like slowking or noivern and means your cheese isnt scouted by hazards. it has a little bit of defensive utility as a mimikyu check which is hard to come by in this tier, otherwise its not doing anything defensively.

last slot is pretty open imo. zoro's combo of speed tier + bulk isnt good enough to pull of a np set but maybe it has some utility for breaking idk, i'd advise against. taunt makes it better at its offensive utility role, flamethrower gives you a better option for hitting things like escav and bish / selling a noivern disquise harder. knock is a broken move so theres probably some way to justify running it.

252 SpA Zoroark Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 180-214 (56.6 - 67.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Zoroark Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 240-284 (59.4 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Bisharp @ Chople Berry

Impish Nature
- Brick Break
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch

This is a set I've been using on the ladder for a while now, and it really puts in work against a lot of mons in the current meta, alongside the massive amount of CC and fighting spam in the current meta. Rather than talk out my ass, I figured I'd show off some calcs.

252 Atk Cobalion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Chople Berry Bisharp: 278-330 (83.2 - 98.8%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Bisharp Brick Break vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 192-228 (59.4 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Coballion can now no longer switch into Bisharp, except for on a knock.

4 Atk Life Orb Sharpedo Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Chople Berry Bisharp: 239-283 (71.5 - 84.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Bisharp Brick Break vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Sharpedo: 324-382 (115.3 - 135.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 SpA Jirachi Aura Sphere vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Chople Berry Bisharp: 294-346 (88 - 103.5%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Was getting really tired of being scared of fighting coverage whenever I switched Zarude in, and I hadn't seen it used before, so I tried swapping out the Choice Band for a Chople Berry on the standard CB set. Nothing fancy here, just has the surprise factor of not being choice locked and being able to KO back some threats with fighting coverage. Admittedly it is lacking in power but CB Zarude is scary and Darkest Lariat is so spammable it can cause a lot of switches.
