Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Protect
- Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell / Mystical Fire

Sylveon is a counter to Specs Kyurem

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Sylveon: 159-187 (40.3 - 47.4%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Sylveon: 123-145 (31.2 - 36.8%) -- 77.4% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Sylveon: 106-125 (26.9 - 31.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Even if Sylveon was slightly chipped or Spikes were up, a Protect will help survive even better thanks to Leftovers.
As for Sylveon's spot in the meta, it has a niche in walling a good amount of special wallbreakers aside from Tapu Lele and Nidoking. It can wall Dragapult, Kyurem, and Hydreigon, but also can pivot into Koko or Tornadus-T. It can take a hit from SOME physicals attackers like Zeraora as well. Most of all, it can use Slowbro & Slowking's future sight teleport strategy against them by spreading Wishes.

:ss/Reuniclus:
Reuniclus @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Future Sight
- Hammer Arm / Focus Blast / Psyshock
- Knock Off
- Endeavor

Vest Reuniclus as a counter.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 187-222 (44.1 - 52.3%)
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor over 4 turns vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 391-465 (92.2 - 109.6%) -- 56.3% chance to 4HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 130-154 (30.6 - 36.3%) -- 53.7% chance to 3HKO
0 SpA Reuniclus Future Sight vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 169-201 (43.2 - 51.4%)
► deal with 10% freeze :
if you get freeze, u "benefits" from kyurem being locked to switch, and regenerator still work to come in and check lock ;
if not just knock or whatever depending situation, knocked chicken is chill.

Future Sight, Endeavor and Regenerator help to weaken and pressure your oponent team while tanking special attackers.
This set is better paired in a regenerator core, bulky offensive partners and cleaner(s).
Heal Bell and hazard-win are great support.
Why Hammer Arm :
_SALT on miss-blast. Also breaking sub with focus blast is meh.
_Drain Punch do not break kyurem sub anytime, it's a roll ;
_Psyshock flop on dark and heatran ; mandibuzz is punished by knock if rocks ;
_keep pressure on Blissey

Original trapper set just have Infestation and Night Shade in place of Endeavor and Future Sight.

This set is somewhat countered by slowbro and ferrothorn : moves flicking against and they heal after being endeavoreds.
Aegislash check it. Beware from W'Policy users (pult, aegi, ti@s, ...) and Trick.

Endeavor is 8PP it's not spammable against stall or alongside Toxic.
This mean you need an offensive team.

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 176-210 (41.5 - 49.5%) -- 82% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Reuniclus in Psychic Terrain: 161-189 (37.9 - 44.5%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Reuniclus: 179-213 (42.2 - 50.2%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO

:ss/tapu lele:

Tapu Lele @ Choice Specs
Timid Nature
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock

Tapu Lele is a good Kyurem check. It outspeeds Modest Kyurem and OHKOes it with Moonblast (or you can Focus Blast if you predict a Steel-type switch-in, as it still OHKOes it). It can switch into Kyurem in a pinch, as it can survive any hit provided no hazard is set up, but it is better used to revenge kill it, as Ice Beam still has a chance to OHKO it after rocks damage. Against Substitute variants, Tapu Lele fares pretty well, as it takes way less damage and forces Kyurem out.

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 506-596 (129.4 - 152.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 426-502 (108.9 - 128.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tapu Lele: 214-253 (76.1 - 90%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Bell Bong (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Toxic
- Earthquake/Protect
Bell Bong the Bronzong is a COUNTER to Kyurem.
Analysing it's mu vs specs, fb does about 45 average, which is fine, as other moves like ice beam , freeze dry or draco don't deal any sort of damage.
Vs sub roost, iron head is taken over gyro ball, for its higher pp.
Bronzong also isn't very hard to fit on teams since it can setup rocks, and checks other threats like sand drill , garchomp, non heat wave tornadus, tapu lele, etc. because of it's good defensive typing as well as levitate. The only drawback is the lack of reliable recovery, but that can be offset by wish passing from blissey or clefable , with the latter being a general good partner for it.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 140-165 (41.4 - 48.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Bronzong Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 170-204 (43.4 - 52.1%) -- 11.3% chance to 2HKO

When it comes to kyurem checks sylveon is one of the best out there being able to shrug off any hit while passively healing with leftovers while threatening it with hyper voice and even healing its teammates with wish or heal bell, its passivity holds it back from being used on most ou teams but i believe it could be used by some creative teambuilders

OK, so sorry for the wait, voting time.
Now some of you posted some pokemon, not naming any names (bronzong, and sylveon that got posted twice??) and yes sure, these pokemon super own kyurem, but they also aren't ranked on the VR, which is sad because you cant be nominated for this round, but it could be a blessing in disguise, because being unranked is all the better for surprise factor. so make of it what you will. Also..
balloon heatran
sorry, can't include this. It's mostly along the lines of

and uh, you lose out on the neat lefties recovery too. which is crucial, because, yknow...no recovery outside that. sorry. on a more positive note....

Ok, end of voting stage.

In the checks section we have a tie between Dragapult and Scizor! Although Dragapult is a neat offensive check, my vote goes to Scizor. When i think Kyurem check on my teambuilder, i thinK Scizor. So, congrats to Abhisdn417 !

Counters section is more cut and dry. Reuniclus is the winner! Congrats to Drahe!

Now for our next victim...!

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Focus Blast
- Knock Off
- Giga Drain

Tangrowth is probably one of the best checks to Urshifu-R, its ability to punish any move of its with Rocky Helmet damage is while not taking much from any of them is incredible and keeps Urshifu-R from freely spamming Surging Strikes, and it can shrug off its attacks with Regenerator. However when paired with Future Sight it can be overwhelmed by Urshifu-R but to be honest, only Slowbro can reliably deal with that combination.

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Foul Play

Amoonguss is low-key rising due to its defensive typing aligning well in this phase of the metagame. It hard counters Zeraora and Tapu Koko (being immune to the former's Toxic variant), it stifles Grass offense with the combination of Sludge Bomb + Foul Play and - of course - COUNTERING Urshifu-R.
The combination of typing, bulk and Regenerator gives it the chance to switchin, easily tank STAB attacks/U-turn while dishing out Rocky Helmet chip, and then switch out as it scares Urshifu-R with Giga Drain, healing approximately the entire hit in the process (strikes deal 28-34%, cc deals 30-36%, regen heals 33%).
Amoonguss compares with Toxapex in this regard, trading reliable recovery with the ability to threaten big damage (which would give it recovery anyway)

Tapu Fini takes little damage from Urshifu-R's STAB moves, and retaliates back with Draining Kiss, recovering a significant portion of its health in the process. As a bonus, if Stealth Rock is off the field, Tapu Fini is capable of checking Urshifu-R even with Future Sight support.

Slowbro acts as a Counter against Urshifu-R resisting both of its Stab moves and punishes Urshifu-R by making contact chipping it down even more with Rocky Helmet, especially if it uses Surging Strikes. With Regenerator and its typing, Slowbro is able to constantly switch into attacks from Urshifu-R while also pressuring it and it’s teammates either fishing for Scald burns that can also hinder the damage of Urshifu-R attacks even more or can set up Future Sight to pressure the opposing side.

Tapu Bulu serves as a check against Urshifu-R. 248 HP EVs prevent a 2HKO from Close Combat when Stealth Rock are up. Life Orb makes up for the lack of a boosting move and Grassy Terrain, Horn Leech and Synthesis keep it healthy throughout the game. High Horsepower can be used for a safer OHKO on Heatran, but the coverage of Horn Leech, Close Combat and Stone Edge gets the job done.

Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Atk / 52 Def / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance

- Heal Bell

:dragonite: is a superb and solid counter to Urshifu-R, as it can comfortably take all its moves, since it resists Surging Strikes, Close Combat, Aqua Jet and U-turn all at once, and with Heavy-Duty Boots and Multiscale this Pokemon can make Urshifu-Rs life on the battlefield a very difficult one. It can also setup a Dragon Dance on it and moreover it can even cleric its teammates with Heal Bell. Dragonite can also make use of Dual Windgbeat to severely weaken Urshifu-R: 52+ Atk Dragonite Dual Wingbeat (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: 256-304 (75 - 89.1%) -- approx. 2HKO after Stealth Rock and after one use of Dragon Dance Dragonite just nails Urshifu-R. It can also put pressure on the teammates of it, as it can make use of Urshifu-R as a setup opportunity and therefore it can put pressure on Urshifus partners. All of this considered, alongside amazing ability and longevity in Roost makes Dragonite a super-solid counterplay to this dangerous Pokemon in Urshifu-R.

Banded Rillaboom always forces Urshifu-R out because it cleanly OHKOs with Grassy Glide. Although Rillaboom cannot ever switch into Close Combat or U-Turn, it can still avoid the 2HKO from Surging Strikes. There's really nothing else to elaborate on.

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rillaboom on a critical hit: 153-180 (44.8 - 52.7%) -- approx. 3HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

Dragon Dance Dragonite is a check you resist its STABS and is not immediately destroyed by future sight very solid check. you want HP invest which is easily affordable to check urshifu-r. I put it as a check as after U-turn it could potentially be in range of 2 Close Combats however unlikely.

- Haze

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 172+ Def Mantine: 144-170 (38.6 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike U-turn vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Mantine: 51-61 (13.6 - 16.3%) -- possible 7HKO
0 SpA Slowking Future Sight vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Mantine: 96-114 (25.7 - 30.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Mantine is a counter to the listed Urshifu-R set. Mantine's Water Absorb means that 1/2 of Urshifu's set heals Mantine instead, which is super valuable since Banded Surging Strikes often still can force an answer to click a recovery move or just accrue valuable chip damage. Banded CC still hurts, but Mantine can sit on Urshifu forever barring a crit and wear it down with Scald/Toxic. U-Turn is of course annoying, but that's true regardless, and Urshifu can't even get chip damage on Mantine with its water moves which can help offset the momentum loss Mantine usually brings. Future Sight from Slowking into 2 CCs does KO Mantine, but Mantine basically forces Urshifu into CC in such a situation since U-Turn does negligible damage. Also, CC has limited PP and can be played around much easier than Surging Strikes.

Even with basically no SpDef investment, this Mantine set still counters every Volcarona set, while also serving as a good answer to Specs Dragapult that lack an Electric move (it takes less from Draco than most Mandibuzz that aren't super heavily invested in SpDef).

I enter Kartana as a check to Urshifu-RS

Kartana @ Choice Band
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Smart Strike
- Sacred Sword
- Knock Off

Kartana appreciates being able to naturally outspeed Urshifu-RS, and thus it's able to run Choice Band to increase it's potency. To no ones surprise, Leaf Blade easily OHKO's Urshifu-RS and that alone makes it an ample check. However, due to Sacred Sword Kartana can threaten common Urshifu-RS teamates such as Ferrothorn and bulky Scizor to a 2HKO. While Sacred Sword is only a safe click when the Urshifu-RS is about 50%, it is fairly easy to chip it down between Stealth Rocks and Bulky Helmet users such as Slowbro, Tangrowth, Amoongus, Skarmory, etc... Kartana also has Beast Boost, something Rillaboom (another common Urshifu-RS check) lacks. Beast Boost gives Kartana very dangerous snowball potential, and almost guarantees Urshifu-RS to switch in fear of this.

252 Atk Choice Band Kartana Leaf Blade vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: 564-666 (165.3 - 195.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Choice Band Kartana Sacred Sword vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu-Rapid-Strike: 188-222 (55.1 - 65.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Toxapex can sit on Urshifu-R for eternity, so I would call it... a counter. It can make use of the switch it forces with Knock Off or Scald on one of Urshifu-R's teammates or setting up Toxic Spikes to help one of its own teammates, like Dragapult, wallbreak more easily. Even if forced to take a Future Sight, specially defensive Toxapex can heal off the damage pretty freely with Recover or smart pivoting with Regenerator.
