Description:
The idea of Secret Santa is that members of a group are randomly assigned a person with whom to give a gift to. For Smeargle's Studio, instead of just any anonymous gift, the gift will always be a piece of art! Unlike last year where requests were specific, to make things more interesting, you'll only be providing 1-2 words of what you would be interested in receiving from a fellow artist.
If you'd like to join in, make sure to pm tiki, Kaiju Bunny, or lyd here on Smogon with 1-2 words describing what you'd like to receive for a drawing. If you'd like, you're also more than welcome to post in this thread that you'll be participating, but keep in mind that pming tiki, lyd, or myself is a must!
Remember that by sending in your request, you will also be drawing someone else's request. If you think you'll be unable to draw for someone else, we ask you to refrain from signing up, as asking for art without being able to give back makes things less enjoyable for others as well as more difficult for hosts :c
Once the Signup Deadline is reached, you will receive a PM from a Secret Santa host (tiki, lyd, or myself) with the request you will need to draw. Once you finish, just respond to the pm with your finished piece before the Drawing Deadline! That simple!
General Rules
- The request should be Pokemon-related - This is still a pokemon forum, so with that in mind crossovers are allowed as long as it's not too obscure.
- The request/finished drawing must be sent via forum PM to tiki, Kaiju Bunny, or lyd - Letting us know on Discord won't do the trick, since we'll probably lose track with it.
- Do NOT tell anybody what request you got, or what request you sent - That's the whole point of Secret Santa after all!
- Do not request anything questionable - Nothing explicitly sexual or violent. Those who attempt to slide past this rule will be banned from participating!
- You may change your request at any time, until sign ups deadline - So you don't have to tear your hair out thinking of something. Once the deadline for sign ups has transpired, however, it's too late for any changes!
- Get your drawing done - As already pointed out, don't join if you can't actually finish your drawing in time. Someone is trying hard to finish up the drawing you requested, so try to respect their effort as well as the person whose request you received.
- Digital and Traditional Art is allowed - In case you were wondering, traditional artwork is just fine as well!
One last thing, but don't be afraid to join if you think your art might not be good enough!
