Multi-Attack is Silvally strongest STAB move with no drawbacks, hitting specially bulky Pokemon such as Articuno and Clefairy harder than Thunderbolt. Surf targets Ground-types like Rhydon, Piloswine, and Alolan Dugtrio, and Ice Beam provides coverage against Altaria, Tangela, and Thwackey. Flamethrower can be used to hit Shedinja, Klinklang, and the aforementioned Grass-types, at the cost of not being able to hit Altaria as hard. Work Up allows Silvally-Electric to boost pass walls such as Clefairy, Miltank, and Alcremie depending on their sets.

Silvally-Electric fits best on balance teams that can use its wallbreaking prowess to break down opposing cores on balance builds. Stunfisk can be problematic for Silvally-Electric, as Ice Beam and Surf only 4HKO it. Skuntank and Choice Scarf Rotom can help wear down Stunfisk as well as cripple it with Corrosive Gas and Trick, respectively. Thwackey can also pressure Stunfisk and also pivot in Silvally-Electric safety. In return, Silvally-Electric threatens out Pokemon that wall Thwackey such as Tangela and Altaria.
