- Musharna is the quintessential support Pokemon, very very similar to Cresselia, although with lesser bulk. Musharna distinguishes itself from Cresselia with its lower Speed, making it far more useful for a Trick Room team, its higher Special Attack, and its ability to avoid every spread attack from its partner, not just Earthquake, making it suitable for a larger variety of partners than Cresselia.
- Trick Room and Helping Hand support a Trick Room partner, Psychic makes Musharna something more than Taunt bait and severely damages Hitmontop, while Reflect or Light Screen can help your team to survive certain hits. Hidden Power Fighting can hits Dark-types such as Tyranitar.
- A 252 SpD spread with a Calm nature is also feasible to allow Musharna to take on special attackers more easily, but sacrifices physical bulk.
