[OVERVIEW]

* Landorus is one of the best special attackers in the format currently, as its Sheer Force and Life Orb boosted STAB moves devestate opposing teams and nail prominant threats like Archaludon, Kingambit, Incineroar, and Raging Bolt.

* However, Landorus has a very crowded Speed tier, thus speed control from Pokemon such as Latias and Tornadus is vital against faster checks like Chien-Pao and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R. Both Pokemon also act as excellent Urshifu-R checks themselves.

* Fake Out users like Rillaboom and Incineroar can be great teammates too, buying time for Landorus to set up Substitute. Rillaboom also serves as another answer to Urshifu-R, while Incineroar helps dampen the damage from opposing Chien-Pao. Other common Landorus checks include Pokemon that can comfortably ignore Earth Power, namely Latias and Tornadus.

* Ogerpon-W is also a particularly good teammate, as it can redirect and absorb attacks from Chien-Pao and Urshifu-R while dealing decent damage back.

[SET]
Life Orb (Landorus) (M) @ Life Orb
Level: 50
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 132 HP / 4 Def / 116 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Poison
Modest Nature
- Earth Power
- Sludge Bomb
- Substitute / Sandsear Storm
- Protect

[SET COMMENTS]

*Earth Power serves as its main STAB attack, allowing it to hit the majority of the format for good damage.

*Sludge Bomb is able to deal respectable damage against Ground-resistant foes, such as Rillaboom and Tornadus. Tera Poison can also elevate Sludge Bomb's damage and secure KOs against Rillaboom.

*Tera Poison in conjunction with 132 HP and 4 Def EVs lets Landorus survive Surging Strikes from Tera Water Urshifu-R the majority of the time. The remaining EVs are used to maximize its Speed and Special Attack.

*A timely Tera Poison lets Landorus live a Tera Fairy-boosted Choice Specs Moonblast from Flutter Mane, as well Ice-type attacks from Chien Pao.

*Substitute allows Landorus to punish passive plays, mainly switches and Protect. A well-timed Substitute in front of a Kingambit also prevents Landorus from getting knocked out by a potential Sucker Punch. This move can be substituted for Sandsear Storm on Rain teams or when paired with Rain Dance Tornadus.

*A Timid nature can be considered, allowing Landorus to outspeed faster Urshifu-R and Ogerpon-W variants, at the cost of damage.

[OVERVIEW]

*Landorus is the best offensive Ground-type (Better to say something like "is one of the best offensive pokemon to keep it a little less subjective) in the format currently, being able to fire off Sheer Force and Life Orb boosted STABs at will to devastate opposing teams and suppress a number prominent threats in the format; such as Archaludon, Kingambit, Incineroar and Raging Bolt.

*However, Landorus exists in a very crowded speed tier, thus speed control from Pokemon such as Latias and Tornadus is vital against faster checks like Chien Pao and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R. Both Pokemon also act as excellent Urshifu-R checks themselves.

*Other common Landorus checks include Pokemon which can comfortably ignore its boosted Ground STABs, namely Latias and Tornadus.

*Ogerpon-W is also a particularly good teammate, being able to redirect and absorb attacks from Latias, Chien Pao and Urshifu-R with ease. (Should also problaby mention that it can deal a bunch of damage back, remove Lati because Ogerpon + Lando-i still absolutely hates Lati)

*Earth Power serves as its main STAB attack, allowing it to hit majority of the format for good damage.

*Sludge Bomb is able to deal respectable damage against everything else that resist its Ground STAB, such as Rillaboom and Tornadus. Tera Poison can also elevate Sludge Bomb's damage and secure KOs against Rillaboom.

*Tera Poison in conjunction with 132 HP and 4 Def lets Landorus survive a Mystic Water boosted Surging Strikes from Tera Water Urshifu-R majority of the time. The remaining EVs are used to maximize its Speed and Special Attack. (Only Scarf)

*A timely Tera Poison lets Landorus live a boosted Moonblast from Flutter Mane, as well Ice attacks from Latias and Chien Pao. (I again dont like Latias here because you shouldnt tera poison in front of it realistically, i'd either just rephrase it with Urshifu or accept only 2 mentions which is enough)

*Substitute allows Landorus to punish passive plays, mainly switches and Protect. A well timed Substitute in front of a Kingambit also prevents Landorus from getting knocked out by a potential Sucker Punch. This move can be substituted for Sandsear Storm on Rain teams. (And on TornShifu which id consider different from manual rain)

*A Timid nature can be considered, allowing Landorus to outspeed faster Urshifu-R and Ogerpon-W variants, at the cost of damage.
