- Landorus is a powerful abuser of spread attacks, and can pair with a Helping Hand user or Earthquake-immune partner quite handily.
- Earthquake and Rock Slide have great coverage together, while Hammer Arm hits Pokemon such as Hydreigon that take little from either attack, and helps against Trick Room teams. Explosion with a Normal Gem is quite powerful, however, and does huge damage to almost anything that doesn't resist it.
- Tyranitar or Hippowdon makes an excellent partner for Landorus, boosting the power of its moves and making Landorus much more formidable.
- A Choice Scarf is also a usable item, making Landorus unexpectedly fast and allowing it to unleash a powerful Earthquake of Explosion.
