Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
The king of OU claims a spot in Ubers as one of the best defensive pivots around. It checks many of Ubers's scariest sweepers such as Zekrom, Groudon, and Necrozma-DM due to Intimidate. It's a great partner to some of these as well, as it using Stealth Rock frees up Groudon and Necrozma-DM to run set-up moves. Landorus-T's lack of reliable recovery is its big downfall, as it's incredibly susceptible to common moves such as Knock Off and Toxic. Eternatus and Xerneas are great at absorbing Knock Off from defensive Yveltal so Landorus-T can keep its Leftovers, and Xerneas, Calyrex-S, and Blissey provide Aromatherapy in case it has to take a Toxic. U-turn is incredible at gaining momentum, letting strong, wallbreaking teammates like Kyogre and Marshadow in, two Pokemon it is very commonly paired with. Toxic makes Landorus-T one of the most reliable Stealth Rock setters, as it threatens the most common Defog user, Yveltal, potentially opening up teammates like Calyrex-S.
