• Horrible defensive typing, it resists only its own two types and has a large number of weaknesses, as well as a 2x Stealth Rock Weakness.
• Decent Speed and a good Special Attack stat, yet extremely poor physical bulk.
• Possesses a nice movepool to utilize quite a few sets.

Moves
========

• Substitute is used simply to let Jynx survive a bit longer, especially against physical moves that will OHKO Jynx.
• Ice Beam gets STAB, and combined with base 115 Special Attack, creates a large dent in the opponent's HP.
• Psychic is also a viable option for the same reason. Or you can use Psyshock against nasty Special Walls.
• Unlike most other energy-draining moves, Draining Kiss heals Jynx by 3/4 of the damage she dished out, and this amount increases with the item Big Root.
• Calm Mind raises the Special stats to larger proportions, and buys Jynx more turns on the battlefield.

Set Details
========

• Maximum Spa is used to ward off opponents and heal more damage.
• As Jynx is rather frail, Big Root is chosen as an item to heal more HP.
• Oblivious erases possible taunts, which could cripple this set.
• For a Pokémon doing its best to last long, a Bold or Calm nature is normally preffered, but Modest was chosen to increase the damage output.

Usage Tips
========

• This set is only effective against Special Attackers, as Jynx cannot withstand a single/two physical hits.
• It is useful as an early-game tank, as it is capable of eradicating some of your other Pokémons' checks.

Team Options
========

• Onix and Doublade can assist Jynx, with the ability to switch into Rock-type moves (or any physical moves) aimed at Jynx. Doublade can also protect her from Steel-type moves.

Other Options
========

• Energy Ball for Grass-coverage.
• Focus Blast for Fighting-coverage.
• Water Pulse for Water-coverage.

Checks & Counters
========

• Physical Attackers with Super-effective STAB (or even without), like Ninjask Gigalith, are major threats to Jynx.
• Stealth Rock users also cripple Jynx.
