[OVERVIEW]
Goodra's ability and typing, which give it a Grass-type immunity and Electric, Fire, and Water resistances, combined with great bulk let Goodra act as a fantastic sponge that can check offensive threats such as Roserade, Raikou, Ninetales, and Salazzle and switch into bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Milotic. On top of this, Goodra's respectable Speed gives it the ability to run Choice Scarf, outpacing Choice Scarf Tyrantrum and +1 Feraligatr. Goodra's solid Special Attack and amazing coverage make Choice Specs also great, as it renders Goodra hugely threatening to bulky offense and balance teams by hitting a wide range of Pokemon. However, Choice Scarf Goodra is pressured by popular Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Florges and Registeel, which are easily able to switch into most of its attacks and can use Goodra as setup fodder if it isn't careful about what it locks itself into. Furthermore, Goodra has no reliable recovery and is easily chipped away by status, entry hazards, and Pokemon that it can check.

Moves
========
Draco Meteor is Goodra's most powerful STAB move and dishes out high damage on targets hit neutrally by it. Thunderbolt is used to hit Water-type Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise and Araquanid. Fire Blast is used for coverage on Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross and Registeel. Earthquake allows Goodra to deal with Calm Mind Raikou and more reliably revenge kill Pokemon like Salazzle, as its accuracy is superior to that of Draco Meteor. Ice Beam can be used over Draco Meteor to hit Pokemon like Zygarde-10%, Noivern, Flygon, and other Dragon-type Pokemon for super effective damage without losing stats or having a chance to miss. However, Ice Beam is a lot weaker and leaves no real option to heavily damage foes neutral to Dragon.
Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment, a Timid nature, and Choice Scarf allow Goodra to outspeed +1 Feraligatr as well as the entire unboosted metagame bar Mega Sceptile. Sap Sipper gives Goodra an immunity to Grass-type moves, allowing it to switch into Grass-types like Shaymin more easily. A Hasty nature alternatively allows Goodra to keep maximum Speed and some Attack in order to make use of Earthquake better.
Usage Tips
========
Goodra should primarily be used as a revenge killer, having the Speed and moveset to take on Pokemon such as Tyrantrum, Feraligatr, Salazzle, and Zygarde-10%. Make sure to use Fire Blast when predicting Steel-type Pokemon that wish to take advantage of Draco Meteor. If the opponent has a Florges or Registeel, try to predict what moves to use or what switches to make in order to not waste turns dealing little damage. Even though Goodra is offensive, it can still soft check Pokemon such as Roserade and Salazzle. Try to make use of Goodra's bulk and typing to check Pokemon as well as revenge killing. Be aware of status and entry hazards when using Goodra, as it has no reliable recovery. Too much damage over time leaves Goodra open to priority users such as Golisopod, Zygarde-10%, and Honchkrow. Watch out for locking into the wrong move, like Thunderbolt against a team with Dragon Dance Zygarde-10%.
Team Options
========
Goodra has the ability to revenge kill and force switches, so entry hazards are good because they cause chip damage to the opponent's checks. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well, as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Water-types are very good alongside Goodra thanks to its Electric resistance and ability to check Grass-type Pokemon with Sap Sipper. Mega Blastoise and Golisopod work very well with Goodra offensively, whereas Milotic and Slowbro work well defensively and also cover Goodra's weakness to physical attackers. Steel-type Pokemon such as Registeel, Metagross, Bronzong, and Escavaliercan switch into Gardevoir and Florges, which check Goodra. Poison-type Pokemon like Nidoqueen, Roserade, and Salazzle are also very good checks to Florges. Fairy-type Pokemon such as Florges and Gardevoir help to remove threats to Goodra like Noivern, Flygon, and Zygarde-10%. Florges and Gardevoir also have the ability to keep Goodra healthy with Wish, Heal Bell, and Healing Wish. Physical walls such as Tangela and Slowbro can work alongside Goodra well defensively, as they are able to make up for Goodra's terrible physical bulk.

Moves
========
Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor can put a huge dent into anything that doesn't resist it, being able to 2HKO specially defensive Pokemon such as Araquanid without needing to use Thunderbolt. Fire Blast nukes Steel-type Pokemon, sending Metagross packing as well as 2HKOing Bronzong. Thunderbolt deals with Araquanid more consistently and 2HKOes Milotic after Stealth Rock damage. Sludge Wave prevents Fairy-type Pokemon from switching into Goodra, as it 2HKOes Florges and OHKOes Gardevoir after Stealth Rock. Thunder allows Goodra to hit Water-types harder than Thunderbolt does. It has a chance to OHKO Mandibuzz and Mega Blastoise as well as being able to potentially paralyze faster Pokemon. Ice Beam is an option over Sludge Wave if you have teammates to exploit Florges.
Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Goodra to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise, Tyrantrum, and Feraligatr. Sap Sipper makes sure that Goodra can still check some Grass-type Pokemon such as Roserade and Shaymin.
Usage Tips
========
Choice Specs Goodra is a powerful wallbreaker, hitting bulky Pokemon such as Milotic, Metagross,and Florges heavily with coverage moves as well as being able to OHKO Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise with Draco Meteor. If you wish for Goodra to break through a team easier, you will need to correctly predict in order to get rid of its checks. Sludge Wave on a predicted Florges or Fire Blast on a predicted Registeel will go a long way towards Goodra winning. Goodra still has a good Special Defense stat, so despite being offensive, it can still check a lot of special attackers like Ninetales and Roserade. Sap Sipper should be used to check Grass-types that rely on Grass-type attacks to deal heavy damage such as Shaymin and Roserade.
Team Options
========
Choice Specs Goodra is a wallbreaker and forces a lot of switches, so entry hazard setters are very important. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well, as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Goodra can remove a lot of bulkier Pokemon, leaving the door wide open for a sweeper. Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir, Noivern, Flygon, and Shaymin can all take advantage of Goodra's ability to remove walls from the match. Both Shaymin and Gardevoir also help support Goodra with Healing Wish. Goodra still needs support to avoid being revenge killed by heavy-hitting physical attackers. Pokemon like Slowbro and Tangela can help to pivot in on these Pokemon. Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon work well with Goodra, as they can come in on Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks that threaten out Goodra. Florges and Registeel work well defensively, whereas Gardevoir and Metagross can work more offensively. Goodra's Sap Sipper, as well as its useful Electric resistance, can help Water-type teammates like Golisopod, Milotic, and Slowbro.

Other Options
=============
Assault Vest Goodra with Dragon Tail in order to phaze checks can be used to more reliably check special attackers. However, this set is worse than both Choice Specs and Choice Scarf because it is checked easier by bulky Pokemon and its only value over other Assault Vest users in the tier is its Grass immunity. Choice Band Goodra can also be used in favor of Choice Specs to wallbreak. However, Outrage is an unreliable move that makes it easy for revenge killers to KO Goodra.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Fairy-types**: Goodra, especially the Choice Scarf set, is walled heavily by Florges and forced out. The Choice Specs set is pressured and is forced into making a prediction if a Fairy-type such as Gardevoir or Florges is on the opposing team. Goodra is reluctant to spam Draco Meteor and has to get a Sludge Wave off on Florges to do anything.
**Steel-types**: Registeel and Bronzong are very bulky and can take multiple Fire Blasts from Choice Scarf Goodra. Goodra is forced to predict when Steel-types are going to be switched in and is pressured by this. Unfortunately,(AC) Goodra still needs to hit multiple Fire Blasts even if getting the prediction right.
**Dragon-types**: Goodra is very easily revenge killed by faster Dragon-type Pokemon such as Zygarde-10% and Flygon.
**Physical Attackers**: Due to Goodra's poor Defense, physically strong Pokemon that outspeed Goodra such as Virizion, Zygarde-10%, Flygon, and Lycanroc-D will almost always force it out.
**Special Walls**: Pokemon such as Assault Vest Slowking are easy switch-ins to Goodra, especially when the Choice Scarf set is used. Other Pokemon like Matine, Florges, and specially defensive Mandibuzz can only be hit hard if hit with the correct move or if Goodra is running Choice Specs.
