Fav/best Pokemon anime seasons?

Hi,

What would you say is the best Pokemon anime series? Are there certain episodes you hate/love?

Personally, I felt this newest season was the most annoying - x and y. Some episodes were good, but the rest felt too meh. Team rocket didn't have any unique openings, the two young kids (not serena and ash) seem a bit too annoying for me.

I feel it's about time for a new Pokemon anime not around Ash. One can only dream right?
