While I feel DLE had some stronger burns and some clever one liners, a lot of the rap simply didn't fit the beat. To me, being able to keep rhythm is more important than just having a lot to say, so Ditto wins my vote.

Fatecrashers (Flaaffy) vs vonFiedler (Arcanine)

I'm gonna be honest here, both raps had a lot of problems and weren't particularly impressive. If I could vote for neither, I would, but my point goes to Von simply because he made me laugh.

Corkscrew (Absol) vs mattj (Snorlax)

I really liked Corkscrew's beat, and if he had managed to keep on rhythm, I'd have given him my vote. Going with mattj on this one, although I didn't like this rap as much as his Dugtrio last round.

Stallion (Zekrom) vs Coolking49 (Kyogre)

This one was hard to narrow down as you two were pretty evenly matched, but I'm going with Coolking since I'm a sucker for fast raps.

Aviator99 (Oddish) vs smaug (Darmanitan)

Aviator had one of my favorite raps this round, so there's no contest here. Had a great beat and his style and lyrics really worked well together. Plus he actually recorded so...

This was a tough decision. I think DLE's rap was way better lyrically, but the actual rhythm of the rap was way off. He definitely rushed way too many lines just to make them fit, and it happened a lot, while Smeargle had less impressive lyrics, but kept on beat.

Man, every rap so far has been a difficult choice, for one reason or another.
Mattj's rap excelled in rhythm and production, but it was only vaguely pokemon related. Corkscrew's rap definitely had some slip ups but I enjoyed the beat, and kept it pokemon. I feel bad, considering Dugtrio was probably one of my favorite raps last round. :(

Holey shit. Both contestants need to be mentally evaluated. I literally couldn't decide which one was worse this round, so I based my vote on last round as well to see who would be better for the competition for the long run, and I have to pick vonFiedler because at least his raps were not half assed for two rounds.

Mattj should have had my vote for this round. He did a bitching job on his song and it was pretty damn professional. However, I don't see how it can be considered a rap song at all. It's kind of like if instead of handing in your math homework, you hand in a spectacular painting. It's great, but not what the assignment was.

Fatecrashers recorded arguably the best rap in round one, but this time round it was clearly a last minute patch job. Much as I'd like to see him in round 3, vonFiedler's was definitely better (though still far from being brilliant) and I think it would be unfair to choose fate for what he did in round 1 rather than what he did in round 2.

I dunno, I thought corkscrew's rhymes were a little laboured, and although mattj's rap wasn't as relevant as it could have been, the production was much better and it improved with the second verse considerably. A close call though.

Even allowing for the lack of recording, the Darmanitan lyrics sacrificed flow for rhymes, which really hindered it. That plus the fact that the Oddish rap was one of the best entries this round made this an easy decision.

If I'm honest, I thought the raps were much weaker on the whole in this round than in round 1 (not to say they weren't good, just not as good imo).

Just a short word on my rap not being noticeably pokemon oriented, that was quite intentional. I enjoy lyrics that make you think. For example, in the second line I could have gone with, "best check your protects, o-ri-gi-nal poketerrorist", which would have rhymed and flowed just fine, but decided that would have been too obvious. So I went with "lookin at me like Osama, yeah you know i deserve it" because it conveys the same message that Snorlax is a threat because of Self Destruct, just without being so overt about it. Every single line in my song directly references something about either Snorlax or Absol. Its not like my rap was just "Bi**hes and H**s! Yeah! Smokin Dope! Gonna shoot ya son! Oh and pokemon too." I just made it a point to not be as in-your-face about it as in my first round submission, although that was definitely fun too.

To each his own though. :) Good luck to all of you, including you Corkscrew. You delivered your lyrics very well!

Well it seems I'm the only one who particularly feels this way mattj but I thought given that we were doing Epic Rap Battles where we rap about Pokemon as Pokemon, the highest priority would be to be funny. That's why I'll take an obvious burn over one that could be applied to any Pokemon (or any non-Pokemon). None of us are expert rappers here.

It's why people voted for Deck Knight round 1, his schtick just needs to change a bit in round 3.

Thankful for all the votes so far, but we need more! Remember if you want the ones you love the most to continue on this contest you should post your vote! Also I wish for R3 contestants talk to me whenever they feel the need for more time or whether or not they want to drop out instead of waiting till the last minutes of the deadline.

The idea behind restricting the number of pokemons you are repping is to make the contestants feel more attached to their chosen pokemon as well as push them to be more creative instead of just using the same style over and over again just with different mons. That being said, I think using a mon more than once or twice is enough and we will definitely try something new in the quarters, maybe go with double battles or introduce a third mon till the end. Your opinions are appreciated!

Da Letter El - Sadly this is not a competition over who is the cuter user, Ditto :(
Vonfiedler - While I loved Fate's rap for rapping over the pokerap, I felt like von won the battle.
Stallion - On the whole, I like Stallion's burns better.
mattj - I like the way he took his song; the references were subtle but cool. His burns were ehh, but he repped snorlax well. I think overall he did a better job.
Aviator99 - Fun rap, but still had some solid burns. One of my favorite raps this round.
