Okay gang, we're all set to start the CAP 30 Playtest Tournament! Due to the number of signups, I've adjusted the point system to account for round robin finals. You can find the updated point system and this week's matchups below.

Rules:
  • This is a standard [Gen 8] CAP tournament.
  • The format is best of three, single elimination.
  • Changing teams in between matches is allowed.
  • You are required to post your replays.
  • All Smogon tournament rules apply.
  • Any change in tiering will not take effect until the following round.
  • Matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown or Smogtours.
  • Please use this guide while scheduling with your opponent.

Just contacted opponent via direct message. I won't be around for tomorrow and am unsure how Thursday will go, but otherwise I'm free and have already acknowledged my opponent is three hours ahead.

I was just slain 0-2. Pretty fun matches despite the hax on both sides, but at least the better player won in the end. It's a bit funny I did better with the team I made than the sample given my lack of CAP (or OU) play, especially given I expected to get crushed in general:

Venomicon seems fun and well-made. Trying to test out Sludge Bomb backfired though (as I figured it would). Either way, ggs to my opponent. Have a good, safe end of the year, everyone.
