Hey all! Let's get some Dex entries up in here! We are finally coming to a close on this monster project. CaP Main made 3 Pokemon, we've made SIX!

I'll be accepting both dex entries in the single thread! This means you can have 3 WIPS for each Pokemon! I am also accepting Final Submissions from the start of this thread! I will discuss with other mods how we will do the polls for these, but I will be leaning towards separate polls for each Pokemon (no linking). I would also like some suggested heights and weights for Pokemon so I can have some idea of how big you think these Pokemon should be!

Dex entries for Caribolt are as follows:

Caribolt, the Railgun Pokemon

Sun: Rivals spar in the mating season by launching prismatic blasts from their antlers. These showy displays avoid unnecessary injury.

Moon: Its thunderous battle charge generates massive kinetic energy that electrifies its hooves and antlers.

Ultra Sun: Basking often during the summer, Caribolt slowly converts sunlight into electromagnetic power. Its antlers can store enough electricity to last through months of darkness in the winter.

Ultra Moon: Caribolt prance splendidly during snowy nights leading up to the winter solstice. The reason for this behavior is unknown.

Legal Pokedex submissions must meet the following standards
  • Pokedex Entries must have flawless grammar. Smogon has a Grammar & Prose team that will help identify mistakes.
  • Pokedex Entries cannot be longer than 32 words.
  • Pokedex Entries can only contain the following characters:
    • Letters A-Z
    • Numbers 0-9
    • Dash (-)
    • Apostrophe (')
    • Double quote (")
    • Period (.)
    • Comma (,)
    • Colon (:)
    • Semi-colon (;)
    • Space
Work In Progress (WIP) Pokedex Entries can be posted at any time for comments from the community.

No more than three WIP Pokedex Entries can be posted by any individual person through the entire course of the submission thread. This limit applies to ALL posts made by a single person, even if previous posts are edited or deleted. This limit is intended to curb the tendency for some submitters to spam the thread repeatedly with multiple Pokedex Entries. This detracts from other submissions and makes it difficult for commenters to survey the submission thread.

Do not bump your WIP Pokedex Entries by posting them repeatedly, or making minor wording changes. Bumping will result in the disqualification of all Pokedex Entries by the offender. Editing or deleting bump posts will not prevent disqualification.

Only ONE Final Submission can be made per person.

Pokedex Entry Final Submissions can only be posted after a CAP Moderator posts in the thread that final submissions are open. Any final submission posted prior to the Moderator notification post, will disqualify the submitter from the poll entirely. Even if the offending post is edited later or deleted, the submitter will still be disqualified for the remainder of the thread. This ensures that all submitters have equal opportunity to post final submissions without anyone unfairly "jumping the gun".

Pokedex entries Final Submissions must posted exactly in the following format and in the following exact order:
  • The first line of the post must have the words "Final Submission" in bold on it's own line. No other text may be included before the bold heading.
  • A blank line
  • "<Pokemon Name>, the <Species Name> Pokemon", with the Pokemon name and the Species Name in bold
  • A blank line
  • The Sun Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Sun" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Moon Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Moon" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Ultra Sun Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Ultra Sun" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
  • A blank line
  • The Ultra Moon Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Ultra Moon" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
Below the Final Submission you can post other comments, explanations, etc.

Example final submission:

Final Submission

Magearna
, the Artificial Pokémon

Sun: This artificial Pokémon, constructed more than 500 years ago, can understand human speech but cannot itself speak.

Moon: Its mechanized body is merely a vessel. Its true self is its Soul-Heart, an artificial soul.

Ultra Sun: It synchronizes its consciousness with others to understand their feelings. This faculty makes it useful for taking care of people.

Ultra Moon: Built roughly 500 years ago by a scientist, the part called the Soul-Heart is the actual life-form.
Any Final Submission that does not follow the proper format will be disqualified.

WIP

Fawnifer, the Bushy Tail Pokémon

Sun: Although they are too young to give off full electric charges, they can store small bits of electricity in their horns.

Moon: Against the backdrop of the forest, an unmoving Fawnifer is almost unseeable. Even when they are moving, it is still almost impossible to see them.

Ultra Sun: During a rain storm, small sparks of electricity fly off of their horns. These sparks are too small to do any damage, however.

Ultra Moon: They must stay near their nest at all times. When one strays from their nest, they oftentimes get lost or caught by a predator.

WIP

Fawnifer, the Woodland Pokémon

Sun: The color and scent of its fur is reminiscent of pine needles. By standing completely still, it remains virtually unnoticeable in the underbrush of its woodland habitat.

Moon: Fawnifer love to skip around in the forest all day long, eating leaves and fruit at leisure. If spotted, however, they have a knack for vanishing without a trace.

Ultra Sun: Its small size belies deceptive agility. Its antlers grow in within minutes of being born, so after dodging enemy attacks it can retaliate with a flurry of pokes and jabs.

Ultra Moon: Once a common sight in conifer forests, their numbers recently suffered from overhunting. They are so elusive that nowadays, it's hard to know how many are left in the wild.

Final Submission

Fawnifer
, the Baby Deer Pokémon

Sun: Young Fawnifer form a powerful bond with their mothers, staying with them long after they stop being dependent on them for care.

Moon: Even though Fawnifer often put on a smug attitude, they are in fact very cowardly creatures. They are particularly scared of loud noises, like thunder.

Ultra Sun: When its horns feel charged with electricity, it is a sign that Fawnifer is almost ready to evolve.

Ultra Moon: Fawnifer's diet consists of grass and berries. Fawnifer stores the seeds from its meals and uses them as projectiles.

Final Submission

Electrelk
, the Thunder Stag Pokémon

Sun: Electrelk are often found sparring with each other, practicing their ability to harness electricity in the heat of battle.

Moon: They are very fast—in one full gallop they can clock an alarming 90 mph. They cannot maintain these speeds for long, however.

Ultra Sun: If they are low on energy and not near food, Electrelk will resort to harnessing the sun's rays with their still-developing antlers.

Ultra Moon: Electrelk are a proud species and do not tolerate foolishness. If they suspect that their trainer is lacking, they will not hesitate to abandon them.

Fawnifer
, the Twig Antler Pokémon

Sun: A Pokemon with a cool streak. It shows off by charging headfirst into opponents with reckless abandon.

Moon: It flaunts its scruffy appearance to appear tougher. It will squirm and kick when its Trainer attempts to groom it.

Ultra Sun: It absorbs copious amounts of sunlight through its shaggy pelt. It surges with energy when the sun is high.

Ultra Moon: By ruffling its fur, it can generate mild amounts of static electricity. It harasses others by lightly tasing them with its antlers.

Electrelk
, the Volt Antler Pokémon

Sun: When cornered, it threatens foes by brandishing its antlers. If the situation looks dire, it lets out a blinding flash of light and escapes.

Moon: It practices its precision by firing lightning bolts into tree trunks. It often overexerts itself in order to impress others.

Ultra Sun: By stomping around, it discharges an abundance of bioenergy. Fields that it runs through become rich with plant life.

Ultra Moon: If its antlers become damaged in battle, its self-esteem takes a hit. It prizes its antlers above all else.
