Pros:
- Azumarill from the surface might have Mediocre stats but in conjunction with Huge Power (Which doubles it's attack) It's more than a capable physical sweeper.
- Decent movepool with good amount of coverage with options such as Waterfall, Superpower, Trailblaze, Ice Spinner, and Play Rough
- Access to moves such as Belly Drum, Encore, Perish Song, and Aqua Jet allows it to have versatile sets.
- Water / Fairy is a great offensive typing, allowing it to beat key threats like Hydreigon, Brute Bonnette, Iron Thorns, and Iron Jugulis.
- Not many things in the metagame can take on +6 Tera Type Water Aqua Jet unless you have Storm Drain, Water Absorb, or Dry Skin.
- Decent physical bulk with Base 100 HP / 80 DEF / 80 SPD which will allow it to take hits if needed.

Cons:
- Belly Drum can be a risky move, since you need to have a bit over half total HP available in order to setup successfully, that's why Sitrus Berry is usually preferred on the Belly Drum set.
- You're almost forced to used Tera Water because of the power bonus included on moves like Aqua Jet, since Azumarill has a max positive speed of 218, you become very reliant on priority moves.
- There are no reliable recovery moves for Azumarill except Rest

Terastal Potential:
- Azumarill will most likely go with Tera Type Water because of the pure power boost you get which will allow Aqua Jet, and Waterfall / Liquidation to hit very hard especially if you set up Belly Drum successfully.
- For defensive Tera strategies it might be ideal to go with Tera Type Grass in order to take Grass / Electric moves so you can setup Belly Drum without a problem.

+6 Aqua Jet will KO almost everything that does not resist it, especially with Tera Type Water activated. Belly Drum Azumarill fits best on hyper offensive teams or even Rain teams, this set is best used as a late game cleaner. Liquidation allows Azumarill to beat bulkier yet slower Pokémon's that are able to take an Aqua Jet. Play Rough will allow you to hit Dark types and Fighting types if Aqua Jet isn't enough. Setting up Tailwind or Sticky Web can also be valued when using this set.

Choice Band Azumarill

Tera Type: Water / Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Ice Spinner / Superpower

Choice Band Azumarill fits well on both bulky offensive teams as well as Rain Dance teams, Choice Band is the safer option over Belly Drum, but it becomes a very 1-dimensional set. This set is used for early game / wall breaking tactics, but also can be used late game depending on the opposing matchups. Liquidation allows Azumarill to beat bulkier yet slower Pokémon's that are able to take an Aqua Jet. Play Rough will allow you to hit Dark types and Fighting types in Aqua Jet isn't enough. Aqua Jet + Tera Type Water + Choice band is deadly combo and will hit very hard on more fragile Pokémon in the tier.

I have found that Trailblaze is a niche 4th move on Belly Drum Azumarill (especially if running Tera Grass) to blast past Unawares/Water Absorbs in Quagsire and Gastrodon. Trailblaze also raises Azumarill's Speed to make it even more difficult to revenge kill. After 1 Trailblaze, max Speed Adamant Azumarill reaches 298 Speed, which outspeeds some important Water-resists such as Gyarados. With 2 Trailblazes Azumarill outspeeds nearly the entire unboosted metagame

With Tera Grass: 252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Trailblaze vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 324-384 (82.2 - 97.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
