For shinies, it's almost the same. The difference is, you need to input the correct ID/SID (There's some kind of bug in RNG Reporter, you usually have to close RNG Reporter then reopen it for it to search for shiny seeds correctly) and you need to pick the nature and ability you want and you need to check the box for DW (If you want a DW ability) and Ditto parent (If you're using ditto ). This is because for shinies you're searching for an exact PID frame, for nonshinies you're just searching for an IV seed and then you get to choose which frame you want.
When you search for shiny seeds, in the time finder it will tell you what the target PID frame is. So you don't really have to look at frame 8, you can just change the method to Breeding BW right away and attempt to hit your target PID frame. Keep in mind NPCs, you might have to do a calibration step to find your starting PID frame because of them. They usually advance by 2-4 frames. Any other questions or do you think you got it? :)
