We all know that every where you go they will play differently. That's why you can't expect to battle your friends across the street with Smogon rules. You can't move to a different state expecting same rules. You can't leave the country expecting same rules. That's why we have Smogon rules, when you're on Smogon you follow the rules that are already set down. If we were to change them so drastically now, it would just cause confusion on many levels.
Dude, I speak English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. I live in flippin Hawaii where a lot of the Asian cultures all congregate into one.
Since I live around so many different cultures in one area, does that we all must follow each other's rules of living? No.
