Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
With regards to any matches not posted in the thread: a few people gave their opponents the win outside of this thread, GenZeon never responded to his opponent's initial VM, and it looks like Slowbroth and The50mph have scheduled for later today (you can have until saturday if need be)
I've decided to post the teams that were not sun from this tour that I made because I don't want them to go to waste and I think they are really fun, really solid teams for this particular meta. I could be wrong, and these teams could be bad, but in general I liked the way it turned out. but in general I really enjoy the way these teams turned out.
Tauros @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Climb
- Earthquake
- Substitute
- Endeavor
I wanted to build around Tauros + Glalie because they weaken a lot of each others' common checks like Steels and Misdreavus. I started with Sub 3 Attacks Tauros but I kind of like Sub Endeavor, in the few test games I've played with the team. It helps weaken stuff so Glalie can clean. Mixed Defensive Pelipper is a really good check to Mega Camerupt (lol) and also most of the tier's Fighting types. The EV spread helps it take on Sneasel and Camerupt. It also provides Defog and is a great core with Piloswine, who provides an Electric immune and SR. Gourgeist-Small doesn't make the team too slow while still being a great check to Fighting and Normal types and helping with the balance matchup. Finally, Mr. Mime is a great cleaner with a Choice Scarf, and Healing Wish is awesome when paired with Gourgeist, Pilo, Tauros, and Glalie.
I have this other team and I have NO idea if this one is good because I never got around to using it, but I'll post it here anyway.
Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Circle Throw
- Scald
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
I'm sad I built this one second because this one looks super fun. But yeah, this is built around the premise that powerful Fake Outs from Kecleon + Spikes + Serperior can wear down the opposing team and you can clean with Scarf Mime.
Even though these teams may never be used again outside of this tour, I'd like to point out how unbalanced, but fun a meta this was. Thanks for hosting this, Zard!
