What's Their Last? - ON BREAK

Reserving Keldeo

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind / Taunt
- Protect

Keldeo fits really well on this team, it provides a Kang check, a Lando check, a secondary Heatran check for Gard, and a good rock resist. Hydro Pump is for big damage. Secret sword is for slightly less big damage. Icy wind is also another form of speed control for the team. And Taunt is taunt, which is good.

it's gotta be a rock resist. current team is too diancie weak imo. Can't decide between Swampert, Gastrodon, and Aegislash...

Gonna go with this one to split the difference between Gastro and Aeg

Swampert @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 156 SpA / 56 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Icy Wind
- Wide Guard

When... no one mentions Azumarill?

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 200 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
- Belly Drum
- Protect

Garde+Azu is actually really cool because Azu does a solid murder on all the steel-types, while Garde does a solid shwonk on all the water resists (water types, dragons, Amoonguss)

We've already got redirection in Amoong, plus I know KyleCole loves his Tran+Azu. Seeing as how he has a lot of defensive synergy but very little straight offense I think Azu fits best.

Zapdos @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Static
EVs: 148 HP / 252 SpA / 108 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
- Tailwind

Zapdos keeps the Hyper Offensive real with TW. With these EVs, it has a chance to OHKO standard Volcanion and Azumarill while surviving two Rock Slides from Landorus-T (definitely a Landorus-T threat).

Tymano wins the week with Keldeo! His submission, along with the full original team, will be added to the Hall of Fame. As for the actual last...

Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 120 SpA / 116 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Electroweb
- Toxic
- Protect

Rotom provides a second Thunder Wave immune, a Pokemon that Landorus can use EQ next to, a rain check, and a reliable way to beat enemy Heatran/Landorus. Electroweb is fantastic support for Gardevoir, Heatran, and Hydreigon in particular and Toxic gives me a really great way to deal with CM Cress and Sub CM Sylveon.

This set always OHKOs 56 HP Landorus with Hydro Pump, always survives a hit from LO Hoopa, and outspeeds Scarf Lando T when I have tailwind up. Rest is in SDef.

Tymano, if you would like to provide the next team, please send it to me along with descriptions ASAP! If not, just let me know.

Victini @ Life Orb
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Keldeo @ Life Orb

Amoonguss @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD

Aegislash @ Leftovers

Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Flash Cannon
- Substitute

Tymano's totally on top of it and already sent me his team, so I'm gonna go ahead and start this next week! Here's what he had to say about those first five:

"This team was built when I decided to build around the core of Victini + Diancie. Usually people use Heatran or Talon as their fire, but I used Victini since it can lure Water-types with Bolt Strike, and V-Create does extra big damage, OHKOing Mega Kangaskhan with a Life Orb. U-turn also gains momentum for the rest of the team. I then added Keldeo for a better Kang check, as well as an answer to Lando-T. It also provides speed control with Icy Wind. Amoonguss checks TR + Rain, two troubling playstyles at this point, and redirects Thunderbolts, Flash Cannons, and general single target moves for the otherwise rather frail team. Sub Aegislash was added as a more definite wincon, as well as a good Diancie check. Modest is mostly to let me get the jump on Quiet slashes."

So... what's their last? Submissions close Friday Sep 16 at 11:59pm EST!

deo on the left qsns on the right

qt (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Tailwind
- Protect

So if you're running Diancie + notTalon you gotta account for that rain matchup which means you gotta grab them water resists. Latios works perfectly. Hydreigon is cool but not necessary cuz Victini + Keldeo are resident steel murderers who get away with it.

Salamence would be cool

Salamence @ Yache Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Tailwind
- Protect

Yache for Ludicolo and Thund, don't really need the LO damage on this team since it has plenty of firepower already. Don't need Fire Blast on this team because team has tons of ways to beat steels already. Protect more useful in long run here.

Basically, the same sort of idea as Latios but also has intimidate for Lando-T issues.

Thundurus @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 244 HP / 164 Def / 4 SpA / 76 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave

The team didn't really have much for speed control aside from Icy Wind Keldeo, it had an imo shaky matchup against Talonflame and Landorus-T, and it needs something more solid against Water-types (and rain). Bulky Thundurus fills those holes well enough; its Prankster Thunder Wave helps the team's speed game considerably, it can take some hits from Talonflame and Landorus-T and hit back with Thunderbolt and HP Ice, and its Electric STAB can beat Waters that end up being a bit annoying + its TWave can stop Swift Swimmers not named Mega Swampert. As a bonus, its access to Taunt also helps against Trick Room stuff. The spread's the business—it lives Mega Diancie Diamond Storm and LO Latios Draco Meteor.
