The Complete Pokedex Project Reboot

Hello there!

Welcome to the awaited return of The Complete Pokedex Project- where the aim is to create a three stage evolution line for every Pokemon!

First of all, big thanks to Eevee General for originally creating the first thread and letting me continue this great idea and the mods for unlocking the thread.

Now for a refresher-

Submission Guidlines:
  • Stats
    • Most Pokemon do not lose stats upon evolution. However, instances of lower Speed are the most common while lowering Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense are pretty rare. The only instance of less HP is with Shedinja, so avoid lowering that stat at all costs.
    • Families typically follow patterns. Sometimes they add stats in the same intervals. Sometimes they keep two stats identical as they evolve. Try to honor these patterns where possible.
    • Don't min/max your submissions either!
    • Make sure to follow the BST caps listed. You are allowed to go lower.
  • Abilities
    • Pokemon usually keep their abilities and the number of abilities while evolving. However, if an ability is going to change it's more likely to be the Hidden Ability.
    • Remember, we aren't making Mega formes here, so don't get too crazy if you give a new ability. Value flavor more than anything.
  • Type
    • It's rare for a Pokemon to change typing upon evolution, but adding a new type to a single-typed Pokemon is reasonable.
    • It's even rarer for a Pokemon to lose a typing to be replaced by another or to be dropped altogether. The only example of the latter that I can think of is Gloom -> Bellossom.
    • Again, flavor should be at the forefront if you're considering a new type.
  • Moves
    • Newly evolved Pokemon often learn new moves with their increase in power. Sometimes a new move is even the catalyst for the evolution!
    • A good example is how most Pokemon don't learn Earthquake until their last evolution. (We're sweeping that under a rug with some of our redesigns, however.) The same can be said for Focus Blast. If a Pokemon doesn't learn one of those moves, maybe now is a good time to let it with its final evolution.
  • Mega Stones >>NEW!!!<<
    • In the case where single staged Pokemon can Mega Evolved, the Mega Stone will only apply to that specific stage. That Pokemon can still evolve normally, with more choice of abilities and evolution-specific moves but it can't use the Mega Stone to Mega Evolve anymore. (Basically sweeping the Mega Evolutions are for final evos only rule.)
**When designing a pre-evolution, it's best to reverse the points above (lower the stats, maybe remove a typing, definitely remove some moves, etc.)**

Spreadsheet for winners in the new Pokedex (can't update until I have access yet though)<<The Complete Pokedex>>

Before we can go back to creating new stages, let's sort out some unfinished business and congratulate the winners of the last slate:

[Baby] Castpuff
Typing
: Normal
Ability: Forecast
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 45/45/45/45/45/45 (BST 270)
New Moves: Recover, Magic Coat (Egg Move)
Removed Moves: Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Hurricane, Thunder
Method of Evolution: Level up once in each of the following conditions: No weather, Harsh Sunlight, Rain and Hail
Height / Weight: 0.1 m / 0.1 kg
Design/Desc.: Basically Castform's head, but with the tuft of...hair? Moved to the bottom of the head, acting as a wisp-like tail.
Yeaaah. The stats are just direct downgrade of Castform, and I just removed all the strongest STAB/weather moves. Recover is there because... Ah screw it, if Cryogonal can learn Recover, so can Castform line :U

[Stage 2] Castphere
Typing: Normal/Flying
Ability: Forecast
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 80/75/75/95/95/100 (BST 520)
New Moves: Work Up, Defog, Morning Sun, Mist, Magic Coat, U-Turn
Method of Evolution: Level up with a Pokemon with the ability Cloud Nine in the party
Height / Weight: 0.5m / 4.0 kg
Design/Desc.: White ribbons extend from the point its tail and head meet, and four more puff of clouds with ribbons flowing downwards appear around it.
(Too lazy to write up designs for the weather formes)
I'd make it an evenly distributed stat spread, but that would make it really bad. So I did something similar to Mismagius - but with the HP and Speed being slightly higher than the other stats. Flying because, eh, it's a teruteru-bozu, which are related to weather and thus the sky...
The moves are, yet again, generic moves: Work Up is learned by quite many Normal-types, Morning Sun ties in to Sunny forme, same thing with Mist and Snowy forme, while Magic Coat is due to Castform getting Future Sight and Guard Swap via egg moves.

[Stage 3] Zorrage
Typing
: Dark/Fairy
Ability: Illusion
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 65/90/65/130/85/105 (BST 540)
New Moves: Play Rough, Moonblast, Moonlight, Dazzling Gleam, Phantom Force, Shadow Sneak
Method of Evolution: Moon Stone
Height / Weight: 1.8m / 87.2 kg
Design/Desc.: The tail end of its hair-fur becomes shadowy and indistinguishable, shifting its shape between one to nine fox tails from time to time. Its face develops fully into a Noh-style fox mask, and its claws transform into a less sharp but jointed variant.
Zorrage here further develops into the kitsune origin, gaining the Fairy subtype which I think fits pretty well with most youkai. The Atk drop is unusual for an evolution, but really, without that there just aren't enough stats to distribute. That said, this evolution pushes the line further into the special attacker territory, with a slight increase in bulk too. While it isn't much, combined with the unique resistances and immunities its typing gives, Zorrage has more opportunities to set-up/stay alive than its prevo.
The moves are mostly standard Fairy moves; The last two, Phantom Force and Shadow Sneak, are more illusion-influenced than actually utilizing shadows.

[Stage 2] Mantarine
Typing
: Water/Flying
Ability: Swift Swim/Water Absorb
Hidden Ability: Unburden
Stats: 80/40/90/90/140/80 (BST 520)
New Moves: Sludge Wave, Sludge Bomb, Whirlwind, Flash Cannon, Charge Beam, Camouflage
Method of Evolution: Level up with an Octillery in party
Height / Weight: 3.8 m / 311.5 kg
Design/Desc.: The antennae on its head becomes cannon-like extrusions, and its wing-fins are now way, way wider. A single Octillery is mounted on top of it, while numerous Remoraid stick to the bottom of its fins.
This is a straight up upgrade on its bulk, especially on the physical side; Its offense and speed are also improved, with the hidden ability Unburden allowing it to become even faster - Think it dropping off the cannons on its body, and goes straight for a speed building action. The moves are all ones that Octillery can learn, along with Whirlwind (which it should've gotten way back) and Camouflage which can be seen as Octillery and Remoraid covering up its true form.

Gonna put the Eeveelution-evolutions in another post.

[Stage 3] Aquareon
Typing
: Water
Ability: Storm Drain
Hidden Ability: Drizzle
Stats: 130/50/75/115/100/70 (BST 540)
New Moves: Water Spout, Recover, Sludge Wave
Method of Evolution: Water Stone x3

[Stage 3] Volteon
Typing
: Electric
Ability: Lightning Rod
Hidden Ability: Speed Boost
Stats: 65/75/60/115/80/145 (BST 540)
New Moves: Extreme Speed, Electrify, Zap Cannon
Method of Evolution: Thunder Stone x3

[Stage 3] Blazeon
Typing
: Fire
Ability: Drought
Hidden Ability: Hustle
Stats: 65/140/65/110/95/65 (BST 540)
New Moves: Eruption, Mystical Fire, Clear Smog
Method of Evolution: Fire Stone x3

[Stage 3] Solareon
Typing
: Psychic
Ability: Magic Guard
Hidden Ability: Magic Bounce
Stats: 65/50/65/135/110/115 (BST 540)
New Moves: Cosmic Power, Solar Beam, Weather Ball
Method of Evolution: Level up 3 times in morning

[Stage 3] Lunareon
Typing
: Dark
Ability: Magic Guard
Hidden Ability: Unaware
Stats: 95/85/115/60/135/50 (BST 540)
New Moves: Cosmic Power, Moonblast, Knock Off
Method of Evolution: Level up 3 times at night

[Stage 3] Syntheon
Typing
: Grass
Ability: Natural Cure
Hidden Ability: Unburden
Stats: 65/115/115/60/70/115 (BST 540)
New Moves: Leaf Storm, U-Turn, Superpower
Method of Evolution: Level up 3 times near a Moss Rock

[Stage 3] Blizzeon
Typing
: Ice
Ability: Snow Warning
Hidden Ability: Heatproof
Stats: 65/70/95/140/95/75 (BST 540)
New Moves: Icicle Crash, Freeze-Dry, Sheer Cold
Method of Evolution: Level up 3 times near an Ice Rock

[Stage 3] Nympheon
Typing
: Fairy
Ability: Serene Grace
Hidden Ability: Pixilate
Stats: 95/50/65/120/145/65 (BST 540)
New Moves: Air Slash, Hurricane, Defog
Method of Evolution: Level up with 5 Affection hearts in Pokemon Amie

I'm just going to do this in one go because they're all done in the same way.
So, 15 BST boost. Yeah, had to nuke at least 1 stat to make them actually different. Aside from that, everyone gets their ability upgraded (Except HA Espeon and Sylveon, Magic Bounce and Pixilate are just flat out impossible to upgrade) and gets 3 more moves that fits their flavor and/or are just common moves that the type gets. Specifically, Nympheon gets Flying-type moves because a lot of people thought Sylveon was going to be a Flying-type, sooo it's a reference?

[Baby] Castpuff
Typing
: Normal
Ability: Forecast
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 45/45/45/45/45/45 (BST 270)
New Moves: Charm, Sweet Kiss, Mist, Haze, Wish, Uproar, Twister, Smokescreen, Refresh
Removed Moves: Solar Beam, Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Hurricane, Thunder
Method of Evolution: Level up after max happiness in a route with weather
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: A cute mini-Castform head with a curly tuft of hair on top of its head. Two puffy mini-clouds swirl, similar to cotton candy in feel, swirl below the head like a propeller (and become Castform's chest when it evolves- basically like gas before it forms a cloud).
Not much to say, baby Pokemon with similar stat spread to Castform's spread. Ultimate weather moves are gone but as a baby, now has access to more support moves like Wish, Mist and Haze.

[Stage 2] Castphere
Typing
: Normal/Fairy
Ability: Forecast
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 80/80/80/100/80/100 (BST 520)
New Moves: Defog, Whirlwind, Roost, Moonblast, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Hyper Voice
Method of Evolution: Level up after using Weather Ball on each weather condition..
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: A thin helmet of translucent gas surrounds Castphere's head. The bottom looks like it has a collar of clouds.

All it really needs to use is Speed and Special Attack for Weather Ball. Fairy typing gives a useful extra immunity. I went with wishing theme of the teru teru bozu (charm doll wishing for good weather) so the idea of a Wish seemed like a Fairy type. Even if there is no weather at least it has a pretty good typing and new support moves to use so it's not a one-trick pony.

[Stage 2] Mantarine
Typing
: Water/Flying
Ability: Swift Swim/Water Absorb
Hidden Ability: Mega Launcher
Stats: 85/40/70/100/145/80 (BST 520)
New Moves: Flash Cannon, Charge Beam, Zap Cannon, Hurricane, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Heal Pulse, Aurora Beam, Octazooka, Roost, Aqua Jet, Water Spout
Method of Evolution: Level up with 2 Remoraid on either side of a Triple Battle. (Mantine must be in the middle)
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: The markings on its back resemble war planes as it now commands multiple Remoraid (2 on each wing). It gains markings around its eyes that resembles a pilot's goggles.
Remoraid artillery lasers pew pew pew! Mantarine has mastered the art of commanding an army of Remoraid and now has access to the Remoraid line's wider movepool. It now has better Special stats so it's not as passive and finally has a recovery move in Roost.

[Stage 2] Castphere
Typing: Normal/Ghost
Ability: Forecast
Stats: 130/90/70/90/70/90 (BST 540)
New Moves: Phantom Force, Morning Sun, Moonblast, Recover, Shadow Claw, Shadow Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunderpunch, Drain Punch, Focus Punch, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Brick Break, Mega Punch, Will-o-Wisp, Growth, Focus Blast, Surf, Waterfall, Flare Blitz, Wild Charge, Icicle Crash, Tri-Attack
Method of Evolution: Level up in a battle where Castform was in all of its forms
Height / Weight: 2'00" / .8 lbs
Design/Desc.: In addition to being larger overall, Castphere's cloud is more cloud-like, flowing outwards and upwards. This cloud has two dark, stormy "arms" it uses to punch and grasp objects. Its smile now has a single fang coming out of it. It is a little bit darker in shade. These changes apply to all forms.
It gets all those punching moves and Shadow Claw because it has arms now. Growth and Morning Sun are to benefit more in Sun, while Recover is to give it reliable (read - non Drain Punch) recovery in non-sun weathers. It also gains some other Physical STABs. Tri-Attack is to give it special Normal STAB

[Stage 3] Blazeon
Typing: Fire
Ability: Flash Fire
Hidden Ability: Magic Guard
Stats: 95/145/60/75/110/55 (BST 540)
New Moves: Wild Charge, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Rock Slide
Method of Evolution: Apply Shiny Stone while holding Fire Stone
Height / Weight: 3'04" / 62.5 lbs
Design/Desc.: Lines appear all over its body, glowing red. Its fur starts rising up, flowing like fire.
Magic Guard because Flare Blitz. Wild Charge because Magic Guard. Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Rock Slide because it's more powerful now.

SpartanMalice

Y'all jokers must be crazy
Didn't the old thread have a spreadsheet for the mons? I'm not saying it's necessary but it would make organizing this thread easier in case the first post runs out of space.

Yes, it did, and yes, that is a good idea.
Oh, and look to Crimsagon as for what Eevee did with ties - even better with Rapidash's case due to not having a set name.

Just so this post is more useful than SpartanMalice's

[Stage 2] Mantarine
Typing: Water/Flying
Ability: Swift Swim / Water Absorb
Hidden Ability: Lightningrod
Stats: 100 | 40 | 70 | 100 | 140 | 70 (520 cannot exceed 520)
New Moves: Lock-on, Soak, Focus Energy, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Psychic, Charge Beam, Thunder Wave, | Roost, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Hurricane
Method of Evolution: Defeat a horde of Remoraid, without using any other Pokémon or catching one of the Remoraid
Height / Weight: 6'11" / 617.5
Design/Desc.: Gains 5 additional Remoraid. Each wing has 2 on the bottom, and two are on top facing different directions. Front-facing attached on top of Mantarine, between the antennae, is the Remoraid that Mantarine first bonded with. Its horn has grown substantially (enough to facilitate the new Hidden Ability), both of its back fins have split into two on each side, and the whole body has grown - effectively an alternate evolution in and of itself, transforming into Mantarine's main cannon. Mantarine gets 4 back fins similarly to its main cannon, keeping the strange kite-tail.
Almost all of the new moves are non-egg Remoraid moves that Mantine doesn't learn. Separated by a line, Roost is duh, and Thunder(bolt) is because of a. Lightningrod and b. BoltBeam. Lightningrod actually came competitive first, but it wasn't too hard to fit into flavor (that main cannon DOES make a good lightning rod!). Hurricane is to benefit from Rain even more - it's a Flying-type with Swift Swim, for Pete's sake!

Banned deucer.

I just haven't added mcFlareon to the doc yet zzz

There is but I'm just waiting for access to the sheet to add the new winners. I'll put up the link anyway when I get home.

Ah I must have missed that, I was referring to another winner's list on the thread where a Showdown randomizer was used. Great idea though, I'll look into it later.

Edit: lol ninja'd

Edit 2: Okay added the spreadsheet link at least. Also, Pika Xreme's pure Fire, speedy Speed Boost Fastorch has been added as a split evo for Rapidash's evolution :)

Posting because i also forgot to highlight some important info not in the original post:

Submissions end on Tuesday- That's 4 days from now. Then the plan is Voting stage until the next Monday, which is about 5 days.

-Also regarding the Eeveelutions, not sure if people noticed but they can have 2 Normal Abilities + Hidden Ability. This makes up for the fact that you only have a minimum extra BST to add (their BST total is actually pretty high already, any higher and it was approaching the realms of the Megas). Also, it always bothered me Eevee had 2 regular abilities that all became the same ability, so treat the 2nd normal ability as what it would be if you picked Adaptability Eevee instead of Run Away. (As in, Adaptability -> Water Absorb -> Your New Ability, similar to how Runaway Caterpie become Shed Skin Metapod before before becoming Tinted Lens Butterfree)

-Of course, you can also change current stats to fill a new niche role like Porygon 2 -> Porygon-Z (defense lowered for special attack increase), or in the old thread's context, how Starus the Starmie evolution was handled.

In saying that and for neatness's sake, here's the rest of the evolutions.

[Stage 3] Aquareon
Typing
: Water
Ability: Water Absorb/Storm Drain
Hidden Ability: Hydration
Stats: 135/65/60/120/100/60 (BST 540)
New Moves: Recover, Aqua Jet, Soak, U-Turn
Method of Evolution: Level up during a route with rainy weather while holding a Water Stone.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Aquareon's body becomes a brighter blue colour and is now more translucent- any light shining upon Aquareon creates a beautiful ever-changing light ripple (like the kind you see in swimming pools). The tail fin becomes larger with a thin membrane similar to Vaporeon's head fins and its feet has small fins. Its body is generally more streamlined, allowing it to perform smooth turns in the water easily (U-Turn) and its body holds more water than before, which makes it slightly slower on land. The white frill has wave-like designs on the edge.

Aquareon holds extra water in its body, so it becomes slightly slower in exchange for better HP, Defense and importantly Special Attack. Rain-boosted Scalds will hurt while it can either absorb Scalds or heal it with Heal Bell/Hydration in the rain. Recover is also a welcome addition and U-turn can an interesting momentum move (won't really do any damage though with that Attack).

[Stage 3] Volteon
Typing
: Electric
Ability: Volt Absorb/Lightning Rod
Hidden Ability: Motor Drive
Stats: 70/65/50/120/100/135 (BST 540)
New Moves: Electric Terrain, Charge, Ion Deluge, Parabolic Charge, Zap Cannon, Electrify
Method of Evolution: Level up near Chargestone Cave/Mt. Coronet/etc., the same places to evolve Magnezone while holding a Thunder Stone.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Volteon gains some dark, horizontal lightning-shaped stripes around its body, making it look more streamlined than before. It gains small spiky fur around its feet. The spikes in general are not as crazy and are more controlled, yet larger and longer as it holds more electricity.

Volteon can finally absorb Electric attacks to boost its Special Attack. Simple, straight up upgrade, and can possibly use Ion Deluge against predicted Normal moves to activate its abilities. It sacrifices some defense to be faster so even if Electrify+Lightning Rod is a thing, it is even weaker to priority than ever before. Could be an interesting Baton Passer though.

[Stage 3] Blazeon
Typing
: Fire
Ability: Flash Fire/Fur Coat
Hidden Ability: Contrary
Stats: 65/135/55/100/100/90 (BST 540)
New Moves: Blaze Kick, Inferno, Earth Power, Wild Charge, Sucker Punch
Method of Evolution: Level up in volcanic cave areas like Mt. Chimney while holding a Fire Stone.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Blazeon's fur becomes thicker and dominates most of the front body. The edges of its ears and bottom of its feet now also have small tufts of yellow fear. The red body has some black markings that look like burnt ash while tail has some smoke-shaped fur, which glows when it's about to unleash a sea of flames. It is often seen in places where there has been a forest fire or disaster and people are quick to think it is to blame.

Oh hey look it has both Superpower and Overheat in its movepool. Contrary seems like a perfect fit- it's translated as Devil's advocate and for flavour reasons Blazeon is like a Fire type Absol where it gets an bad reputation for causing forest blazes. It has an increase in speed in exchange for lower defenses which can be slightly remedied by Contrary+Superpower or Fur Coat on the physical side. Also gains some coverage, Wild Charge since Arcanine gets it, Earth Power it looks pretty close to Lava Plume and stuff like Magcargo gets it and Sucker Punch give it priority (and some bush fires surprise you with the speed it spreads so..)

[Stage 3] Solareon
Typing
: Psychic
Ability: Solar Power/Trace
Hidden Ability: Magic Bounce
Stats: 70/60/60/135/100/115 (BST 540)
New Moves: Solar Beam, Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Psycho Shift, Barrier
Method of Evolution: Level up during Sunny Day in realtime daytime hours while holding a Sun Stone.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: The gem on its head is now in the shape of a sun-shaped star. It gains ray-like markings around its neck that absorb the sun's rays to heighten its psychic powers of prediction. It can also accurately predict the weather better now that its connection to the sun is more defined. It's body produces a faint, radiant glow when it uses psychic attacks. The tail is even further split down the middle and has white tips that glow when the sun is closest to the Earth.

A Sun special sweeper/wall breaker not weak to Stealth Rock and not a Grass type that makes Fire type weakness worse? Yes please. In fact, Team Preview can play mind games if you run a Sun team- is it a Magic Bounce Espeon that bounces back rocks? Or is it the Solar Power one? Maybe even the Trace one who can trace a Levitate/Water Absorb on the attack aimed at a Fire Pokemon? It's best Fire move though is Heat Wave or Weather Ball because it's not primarily a Fire type- but rock coverage in a sandstorm could be interesting. Weather Ball actually fits its flavour back in the Espeon stage about predicting weather, too.

[Stage 3] Lunareon
Typing
: Dark
Ability: Intimidate/Oblivious
Hidden Ability: Poison Heal
Stats: 100/70/115/60/135/60 (BST 540)
New Moves: Moonblast, Hypnosis, Barrier, Knock Off
Method of Evolution: Level up during Sunny Day in realtime nighttime hours while holding a Moon Stone.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: The glowing patterns are more intricate and extend to its face. It's tail changes it's appearance to a crescent shape, with the curve connected to the body, making it look like it has two tails. From behind, the tail looks like its ears and the patterns also make a face which confuses would-be attackers. Its paws and bottom part of the legs are all yellow and glow bright during a full moon. During a lunar eclipse, all the patterns glow an eerie red instead. Its energy is linked to the lunar cycle so during the eclipse its movements are slower and it usually hibernates. The poison it excretes as an Umbreon is now used as nourishment during times of an eclipse.

Finally some great abilities- Oblivious makes it immune to Taunt, Poison Heal gives recovery and protects you from other status when activated and Intimidate gives you even more physical bulk. Knock Off is great utility and STAB move.

[Stage 3] Syntheon
Typing
: Grass
Ability: Regenerator/Flower Veil
Hidden Ability: Chlorophyll
Stats: 70/115/135/60/65/95 (BST 540)
New Moves: Leaf Storm, Leaf Tornado, Power Whip, Aromatherapy, Petal Blizzard, Petal Dance
Method of Evolution: Level up in Sunny Day while holding a Luminous Moss.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: It now has a frill of leaves and small flowers around its neck. It's tail and ears are longer and the ends of its ears have long, vine-like tendrils that absorb nutrients better. It's composition allows it to use photosynthesis much more effectively, and the leaves/flowers around its neck are used for effective herbal remedies. Its paws are now covered with a light coat of moss.

Syntheon comes from the word Synthesis and its all about healing so Regenerator makes sense. Flower Veil makes it immune to stat drops like Intimidate or status moves like burns so you can physically attack with less worry. Chlorophyll speed boost is always nice too. Power Whip makes for a great high powered move although Leaf Blade can also be an option if you don't like the accuracy.

[Stage 3] Blizzeon
Typing
: Ice
Ability: Snow Warning/Refrigerate
Hidden Ability: Dry Skin
Stats: 70/60/110/135/95/70 (BST 540)
New Moves: Freeze-Dry, Icicle Spear, Sheer Cold, Recover, Calm Mind, Weather Ball, Spikes, Defog, Whirlwind, Hurricane, Air Slash
Method of Evolution: Level up in Hail routes while holding a Snowball.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: It now has a glass-like snowflake frill around its neck and is generally lighter in shade- almost white blue. The two dangling appendages around its head are sleeker and more crystal-like, almost like a chandelier and the vibrations can cause snowstorms if it is in danger. Its coat reflects sunlight and freezes any water droplets around it. If it is damage, it can find some water to bathe in to form more ice for its body. Its paws are covered in long, white padded fur, which allows it to silently move around in snowstorms. It's tail has a small, icicle star around its base. It likes to create blizzards to hide its home.

Refrigerate Hyper Voice, Snow Warning Blizzards or Dry Skin Freeze-Dry attacks again Water types who like to use Scald. Dry Skin kind of makes sense because it freezes the water around it to add to its icy coat although it melts off under sunny days. Also has some wind-based moves to fit with the blizzard theme like Hurricane or Defog which is good utility. Also gains Spikes like Glalie- flavour-wise it can create spikes of icicles from the frozen needles in its fur that it fires off (also why Icicle Spear is added). More support moves give it a bit more utility than a poor, generic mono-Ice type. Recover is always nice, especially for a hazard-weak mon.

[Stage 3] Nympheon
Typing
: Fairy
Ability: Unaware/Wonder Skin
Hidden Ability: Pixilate
Stats: 105/65/65/110/135/60 (BST 540)
New Moves: Fake Out, Heart Stamp, Healing Wish, Psycho Shift, Wring Out
Method of Evolution: Level up during Sunny weather in realtime night hours while holding a Soothe Bell.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: It's ribbons now curl around on the end, and it gains a baroque-looking collar around its neck with a small bell in the middle. It's tail looks like a curled gift ribbon, and it can extend it at will, along with its other appendages. It can use the ribbon-like appendages like arms and when it touches another person it can instantly form a strong bond and share memories and thoughts.

Wring Out and Fake Out are boosted by Pixilate and also make sense with the ribbon things it has (Fake Out uses the ribbons to slap instead of hands). Psycho Shift can be interesting to swap status and if combined with Wonder Skin- how annoying would it be to get the paralysis back to you after missing all those Thunder Waves? A poor-man's (poor-mon's?) Magic Bounce. More importantly, Unaware is great if using as a special wall, and can copy Clefable and use a Calm Mind set.

[Stage 3] Zorrage
Typing
: Dark/Fairy
Ability: Illusion
Hidden Ability: N/A
Stats: 80/105/60/125/60/110 (BST 540)
New Moves: Moonblast, Play Rough, Moonlight, Trick Room, Wonder Room, Magic Room, Psyshock, Misty Terrain, Mean Look, Transform, Sludge Bomb, Mimic
Method of Evolution: Level up holding at level 45 with the move Mimic and winning the battle without the Illusion being broken.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Zorrage now stands tall with a more theatrical and human-like stature. It's hair becomes long and flowing, losing the hair tie and is wilder, almost star-shaped and reminiscent of a kabuki performer's hair. It has red, white and black facial markings that also look like kabuki facial paint. The fur on its wrists become longer, looking like sleeves. Also gains a red fur collar around its neck and shoulders, like a shoal.
Zorrage combines the kitsune theme and the kabuki theatre, using its mischievous new Fairy type powers to even create human illusions. Like a stage actor, it can convincingly become different characters- both Pokemon and human. The stage theme gives it access to moves like Trick Room and Wonder Room. It has also gained the ability to Transform into the opponent to wreak havoc and cause more confusion. Just some small upgrades to every stat except its defenses, Zoroark is still meant to play as a fragile trickster with a bit more HP. Sludge Bomb is there so it's not event-exclusive anymore.[/hide

Typing
: Normal/Fairy

[Stage 2] Castphere by Pika Xreme

[Stage 2] Mantarine by Pika Xreme
Typing:
Water/Flying

Zorrage
[Stage 3] Zorrage by zerobreaker000

Method of Evolution: Level up at level 45 with the move Mimic and winning the battle without the Illusion being broken.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Zorrage now stands tall with a more theatrical and human-like stature.

Typing

[Stage 3] Volteon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Blazeon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Solareon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Lunareon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Syntheon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Blizzeon by mcFlareon
Typing

[Stage 3] Nympheon by mcFlareon
Typing

Well this will be a first. Castpuff is actually a tie, but luckily it has the same stat spread/typing- so combining all the moves seems like a good compromise- maybe flip a coin for appearance/evolution method? (Note: I really need to think of a good tiebreaker for Baby Pokemon next time since there's no split-prevos that evolve into the same Pokemon). As for Zorrage- as if Illusion isn't confusing enough, there are also two Zorrage to choose from! Zerobreaker000's will be Zorrage-N (for Noh theme) and mcFlareon will be Zorrage-K (for Kabuki theme)

Winner's list under the hide for saving space

Phew! That's the most intense list of evolutions we'll probably ever have.

Time for some discussion- Anything you're excited to use? Any set ideas?

Just quick thoughts for now:

Lightning Rod Mantine looks very interesting, only fearing Rock type attacks and Freeze-Dry. Special attack boosts from a predicted Volt Switch can really help its offensive presence and Thunder/Hurricane gives it new tools in Rain teams. Roost is very appreciated to finally act as a better special wall.

While Zorrage-K has a wider movepool, solid mixed offenses and access to Transform, Zorrage-N is more specially-inclined with slightly better Special Attack and better Special bulk. However, it is outclassed by Zorrage-K's access to Psyshock which lets it get past special walls. Shadow Sneak is a point of difference but Sucker Punch has more power and STAB.

Castphere has a nice total of 3 immunities which gives it plenty of chances to switch in. Gets a HUGE movepool boost with interesting options like Growth in the sun (which admittedly helps its low-powered STAB moves) and Will-o-wisp for support. Castpuff gives it some nice options like Wish and Recover to use with the fairly massive HP stat.

Next slate in next post for cleanliness.

Alright, time for the next slate! Here's a specially-themed one, and I've added Name Justifications so the name makes more sense. Actually, everyone's free to suggest their own names as well and if they do, they can add their reason in the new Name Justification hide tags. if I really like it I'll replace it even if you don't win :)

And without further ado...

Originally "Seeafarig" which combines See + Afar (either beause Giraffes are tall or Psychic clairvoyance), but Serapharig flows better and sounds more mysterious while still resembling the original idea...kind of. Sepharig combines Safari and Cephalo- which according to a dictionary is a combining form that refers to a head.

New Moves: Knock Off, Parting Shot, [Dugmafia only]: Taunt, Punishment, (via Level Up) Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, (TM) Switcheroo, Foul Play (via breeding)
Method of Evolution: Beats a horde of Digletts at Night while knowing Parting Shot
Height / Weight: 1.5 m / 66.6 kg
Design / Desc: One very large Diglett in the centre of four other mindless and regular sized Digletts. The main Diglett has a mustache under its big pink nose. And its eyes are large and have dark lines underneath.

I gave it Dugmafia because of my subs theme as a Mob Boss with a bodyguard entourage surrounding it.
Dugsquad just sounds like a group with equal thought, while its the main Dug that has all the thought. Dug obviously means digging and mafia is The Mafia.

Dugtrio already had a few Dark type moves, so obviously its next step is to evolve into a Dark type. The Mob boss theme came from one of the Digletts in a Dugtrio gaining its own malicious mind and taking over the minds of others to do its dirty (get it cuz its a ground type) work for it. All of the moves are standard drak attacks. Parting Shot particular is interesting, it can be said as in real life social underground creatures usually let out a cry and retreat into its burrow to warn the others.

Ability: Oblivious/Own Tempo
Hidden Ability: Regenerator
Stats: 65/45/45/30/30/5 (BST 220)
New Moves: Endure, Bide, Rollout, Body Slam, Encore, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up

Method of Evolution: Level up with a party member slower than it
Height / Weight: 0.6 m / 19.8 kg
Design/Desc.: Yeah, about that, how are you supposed to make something more simple than Slowpoke...
Pretty much just a regular Slowpoke, with all of its stronger/Psychic-type related moves taken away. That's... about it. Yeah.

[Stage 3] Dodrintet
Typing
: Normal/Flying
Ability: Steadfast/Vital Spirit
Hidden Ability: Own Tempo
Stats: 80/135/80/65/65/105 (BST 530)
New Moves: Outrage, Feint, Fake Out, Sucker Punch, Drill Run, U-Turn, Wild Charge
Method of Evolution: Level 50
Height / Weight: 2.0 m/99.2 kg
Design/Desc.: The five heads of it are distributed in a fan-like shape, with trident-like crests with red tips on each head. Its tail is longer than that of Dodrio, and now extents from the sides of the body. Its claws also gets larger.
The name is basically a corruption of Dodo + Quintet.
This is a straight up upgrade over Dodrio, with the abilities being kind of better versions. Steadfast refers to Dodrio's constantly running nature, Vital Spirit is basically Early Bird up to eleven, and Own Tempo, well, imagine five heads, each with their own opinions.
Outrage is learned by mostly Dragon-types or dragon like mons, but things like Pangoro and Abomasnow learn it too, so meh. Feint, Fake Out and Sucker Punch are there since it'd be pretty hard to correctly predict an attack from an opponent with conflicting body movements; Drill Run is for coverage and their beak works fine, U-Turn works with its speed, and Wild Charge is just another generic move.

[Stage 1] Okapeer
Typing
: Normal
Ability: Inner Focus/Keen Eye
Hidden Ability: Sap Sipper
Stats: 40/50/40/60/40/65 (295)
New Moves: Snarl, Double-Edge, Metronome, Lock-On, Miracle Eye, Follow Me, Baby-Doll Eyes, Glare, Fake Tears
Removed Moves: Crunch, Power Swap, Guard Swap, Confusion, Psybeam, Double Hit, Zen Headbutt, Crunch, Psychic, Psyshock, Calm Mind, Light Screen, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Earthquake, Shadow Ball, Reflect, Energy Ball, Charge Beam, Flash, Thunder Wave, Psych Up, Dream Eater, Trick Room, Dazzling Gleam, Magic Coat, Mirror Coat, Skill Swap, Gravity, Shock Wave, Signal Beam, Trick
Method of Evolution: Level up when holding Scope Lens, Wide Lens or Zoom Lens
Height / Weight: 0.9 m/26.6 kg
Design/Desc.: Just a smaller Girafarig, but with the rear body changed to be similar to the front part, only with black legs. Its tail no longer has a whole head, but only a small spherical stud with an eye on it.
Yeah, just a regular first stage. I imagined the rear body not being conscious enough to merit the Psychic-type, so you can see a lot of moves removed from the learnset. Future Sight is still there, though, and Lock-On, Miracle Eye, Fake Tears and Glare are added to reflect the sole eye that's in the rear now. Same with Keen Eye replacing Early Bird, since the head is no longer there to wake it up sooner.

[Stage 3] Exeggunaut
Typing
: Grass/Psychic
Ability: Chlorophyll/Analytic
Hidden Ability: Harvest
Stats: 100/85/95/140/75/60 (BST 555)
New Moves: Charge Beam, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Fire Blast, Flash Cannon, Dazzling Gleam, Belch, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Weather Ball
Method of Evolution: Level up with an Exeggcute in the party
Height / Weight: 2.5 m/185.0 kg
Design/Desc.: Similar to Exeggutor, but with all 6 heads on the top, right under the leaf hair which looks even more wild now, and the two legs swapped with four, turtle like legs. Leaf sprouts from the part where the legs and the body connect, too.
It's basically a turret now, with the four leg supporting it. Analytic is something I felt Exeggutor should always had, being a Psychic-type and all, and all of the move are projectile-like moves. Except the Stockpile trio, but hey, it seems like it'd make sense.

About Slowmo (and future lines with Megas), well Mega Evolutions (unfortunately in some lines) seem like the final, ultimate evolution so it doesn't make sense flavour wise to have a Slowbro evolution after Mega Slowbro. This does really limit the current single-stage mons like Audino and Absol but the best we can do is just add to their movepool really...

Anywho WIP

[Stage 3] Exeggunaut
Typing
: Grass/Psychic
Ability: Chlorophyll/Contrary
Hidden Ability: Harvest
Stats: 100/95/105/130/65/60 (BST 555)
New Moves: Belch, Earthquake, Spiky Shield, Extrasensory, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere, Signal Beam, Hammer Arm, Superpower, Psycho Shift, Growth, Weather Ball, Nasty Plot, Knock Off, Surf
Method of Evolution: Defeat a horde of Exeggcute.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: It's taller, its trunk gets an almost spikier-diamond texture (like how real coconut trees have rugged trunks) and it now has thick, ogre-like arms. Leaves grow larger and wider with grooves, similar to banana leaves and it's feet become thicker and more trunk like, sort of like Abomasnow's. Small bristles appear in the area under the heads, making them look like they have a small beard. The egg heads are now seven and surround all sides- each head displaying one different emotion (ex. anger, sadness, joy, etc.).
First things first, it always saddened me that Exeggutor now had 3 heads and only on the front...but now I remedied that as Exeggunaut bears more (egg-head)fruit with a range of emotions! Okay, another Contrary Leaf Storm user but it's creepy and random enough flavour-wise plus it has more immediate power than Serperior. Speed and typing hold it back though (Speed can be slightly remedied by Hammer Arm if you go mixed- it has okay attack and has Swords Dance/Growth.) It's vast movepool update makes up for only a small stat boost (anymore and it's around Legendary BST total) and poor typing. Widened its special movepool in particular with things Psychics learn like Shadow Ball and Signal Beam. Surf relates to a coconut's usual environment and how coconuts actually fall down, get swept by the waves to end up in new islands. Spiky Shield+ a defense boost slightly help against weaker, unSTABbed U-turns.

[Stage 3] Okapeer
Typing
: Normal/Psychic
Ability: Early Bird/Inner Focus
Hidden Ability: Sap Sipper
Stats: 40/40/45/65/50/55 (BST 295)
New Moves: Psycho Shift, Hypnosis, Camouflage, Reflect Type, Work Up, Bite, Miracle Eye
Removed Moves: Earthquake, Bulldoze, Thunderbolt, Thunder
Method of Evolution: Happiness
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Pretty much like an okapi- mostly brown colour scheme except the stripes on it's back side resemble facial markings. The tail is similar to Wobbuffet's- there's two giant eyes and it only has small fangs for its mouth.
Basically just removed the advanced moves. Camouflage because that's what Okapi stripes are for, Reflect Type is a Psychic-esque extension of that. Work Up to add to the set up moves that it can Baton Pass later when it evolves.

[Stage 3] Seerapharig
Typing
: Normal/Psychic
Ability: Insomnia/Simple
Hidden Ability: Sap Sipper
Stats: 75/80/70/110/95/105 (BST 535)
New Moves: Psycho Shift, Focus Blast, Dark Pulse, Cosmic Power, Pain Split, Knock Off, Giga Drain, Mirror Shot, Heal Bell, Tri Attack, Hypnosis, Sucker Punch
Method of Evolution: Evolve at Level 40 with using Double Hit on a Double Battle.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: Its back half is now in identical to front half but just inverted in colour- except the back half still has sharp teeth, kind of like a darker version of the front half. It has a much longer neck, longer eyebrows, a binocular shaped pattern on its eyes and small tufts of fur at the end of its horns. The spines on the back of its neck become a silver mane like a normal giraffe. It's design is sleeker and more graceful, with more intricate patterns on its body.
A taller, graceful giraffe. The idea behind Simple is both halves of its body get the boost- thus in essence, doubling the boost. This makes it a great Baton Passer with access to moves like Calm Mind and Nasty Plot. Even using Agility for itself lets it outspeed a lot of Pokemon. Also has interesting support options like Psycho Shift and Heal Bell while Pain Split gives it some recovery.

[Stage 3] Dodruple
Typing
: Normal/Flying
Ability: Vital Spirit/Reckless
Hidden Ability: Hustle
Stats: 80/125/75/60/75/115 (BST 530)
New Moves: High Jump Kick, Jump Kick, U-turn, Bulldoze, Sucker Punch, Work Up
Method of Evolution: Evolve at Level 40 with using Double Hit on a Double Battle.
Height / Weight:
Design/Desc.: It has an extra head keeping watch behind so it can face all directions. It now has a extra feathers on the top of its head and a waddle under each beak. It's legs are stronger and have a red hue- it can now deliver powerful kicks and is a faster runner. Their beaks resemble drills
A faster, more powerful Staraptor with Reckless Brave Bird/Double-Edge/High Jump Kick- although using HJK is riskier than Starator's Close Combat because of the miss chance but at least you have a way to hit Steels. Alternatively, Hustle gets you more power for even less accuracy.
