Smogon Usage-Based Tier Update: May 2015

May I ask why you think that? Unless Aegislash gets unbanned or Sableye stall gets really big again, and I don't really see either situation happening, the future looks pretty bright for Alakazam, since he's basically the fastest thing around and extremely powerful. Competition from other mega evolutions doesn't even mean that much since none of them bar Aerodactyl reaches the sanic speed of Alakazam, and he even has some decent Sash and Life Orb sets, even though they're not as good as Mega.
I honestly don't get how Mamoswine dropped. People are talking about how the genies trio is becoming quickly dominant, how Serperior has reached the stars, how RockyChomp is infesting the metagame, and how common dragons and steels in general are, yet Mamoswine, which wrecks all of these trends, dropped? Guess people haven't realized that Sash lead isn't its only set.

As an addendum: Gallade is now RU instead of UU. It was RU before receiving a mega evolution, and since Mega Gallade is BL, there's no sense in keeping it UU and waiting for it to drop. This is the same situation Medicham was in a couple of months ago.
Sorry if this seems annoying, but would it be possible to get these stats soon, please? I know Doubles UU and LC UU are rather small tiers but the 3-month stats are still helpful for observations even without the lower tiers.
It's on my to-do list. That's all I can say right now. Doubles, especially, requires some work, thanks to its rename.

Doubles is what was holding me up here. It wasn't just a matter of combining "Doubles" and "Smogon Doubles": there was also a bug regarding Meloetta that was screwing things up (now fixed). This bug actually affected (only moveset?) statistics across all tiers where Meloetta is playable, so I'm rerunning everything to be safe, which is why it's taking so long.
On the plus side, the process of updating the Doubles/LC UU banlists is now completely automated, so next tier update I should be able to post the updated other-meta tiers on the same day I post the "standard" tiers. And, as an added bonus, I'll also be generating a banlist for Doubles NU! If someone's motivated to set it up, Doubles NU can be playable as a "challenge-only" option on Showdown.

Has there been much debate in changing the tier system so that mega evolutions are considered separate from their base forms? Certain Pokemon get dragged up to higher tiers where they could safely be used in lower ones without their megas. The only time that the base forms separate and get dropped back down is when the megastone is banned, as was the case with Mawile, Medicham, Pinsir, and Kangaskhan. In my opinion, the tier system should allow for Pokemon like Charizard, Lopunny, Abomasnow, Ampharos, Manectric, Beedrill, Pidgeot, Altaria, and Glalie to be used in tiers below where they currently sit.

I don't see the problem with Gallade dropping to NU. Regardless of how it might have been if Gallade was properly added to the RU teambuilder, we can never say for sure if it would have stayed RU in that case. Unless somebody can find me the rule that states that something has to be explicitly mentioned in the teambuilder of a tier to have its usage stats be considered legitimate, we should consider Gallade's usage stats legitimate.

fleggumfl, so those are the RU suspect test 1630 stats. But as you can see from the combined stats above, Hitmonchan is still above the quick-drop cutoff by a significant margin.
