Gigalith as a check

Gigalith @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Rock Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Gigalith's ability boosts its SpDef by 1.5x, allowing it to be 3HKOed at best by it's strongest moves after Leftovers and Rocks. It also forces out Yanmega due to being able to KO back, and can setup rocks to limit Yanmega or spread status around on the switch. A little plus as well is Sand chipping Yanmega's SR number away.

252 SpA Choice Specs Yanmega Bug Buzz vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Gigalith in Sand: 114-135 (30.5 - 36.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Yanmega Air Slash vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Gigalith in Sand: 94-112 (25.2 - 30%) -- 0.1% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Yanmega Giga Drain vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Gigalith in Sand: 126-150 (33.7 - 40.2%) -- 35% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

8 Atk Gigalith Rock Blast (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Yanmega: 320-384 (102.2 - 122.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving Mantine

Mantine as a defensive check

Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Roost
- Defog
- Toxic

Mantine is only 3hkoed by Bug Buzz and takes a pittance from any attack Yanmega commonly runs. In return, Mantine can wear it down with Scald while healing itself with Roost. This is only a check because Mantine can be 2hkoed if Stealth Rock is up, which is a problem when it is the team's answer to Stealth Rock. Furthermore, Mantine can lose if Yanmega gets a SpDef drop on Bug Buzz or an Air Slash flinch, both of which are likely if it stays in for an extended period of time.

252 SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Yanmega Bug Buzz vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Mantine: 138-162 (36.8 - 43.3%) -- 99.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Yanmega Air Slash vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Mantine: 115-136 (30.7 - 36.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Yanmega Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Mantine: 77-91 (20.5 - 24.3%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Choice Specs Yanmega Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Mantine: 82-97 (21.9 - 25.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Mantine Scald vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Yanmega: 114-135 (36.4 - 43.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Defensive Dragalge as a check.

Dragalge @ Black Sludge
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 204 SpD / 52 Spe
Calm Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Sludge Wave
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald

Specially defensive Dragalge is 3HKO'd by any move from Yanmega after rocks due to Black Sludge recovery and can OHKO it back with a Draco Meteor. Assuming Rocks are up on Yanmega's side, Dragalge can also KO Yanmega with Sludge Wave to avoid missing a Draco Meteor. I'd list it as a counter, but due to the lack of non-Leftovers/Black Sludge recovery Dragalge could very realistically be worn down the by the 20%~ needed to guarentee Yanmega a 2HKO after rocks (Also you have to land a Draco Meteor lol).

Thanks for all the submissions, the winners this week are:

Checks
iRKD's Gigalith
Giga Drain is a problem but Gigalith will be able to take 2 hits needed, so can even switch once and Rock Blast will OHKO with 2 min rolls hits so it's a safe check.

SkywardSword596's Mantine
That 2HKO after Rock chance is kinda annoying but you can still stop Yanmega, as long as you don't switch in with Rocks you can Toxic + Roost Yanmega easily.

teachable's Dragalge
That work like Gigalith, but less safe since you need less prior damage to be 2HKOed, Draco Meteor will OHKO (Sludge Wave will as well after Rocks) so you can even switch once if needed

Btw if possible, next time please include calcs in your post teachable.

Counters
Cheryl.'s Porygon2
Take hits for days and can Recover, Toxic or 2HKO with Ice Beam, easy stuff.

PursuitOfHappiny's Snorlax
Was a check but Snorlax can take at least 4 hits and Rest, ofc it's tough if you switch while asleep but you will still beat Yanmega and can use it as Curse fodder.

The Bill Cipher's Registeel
Can avoid a 4HKO, probably with Protect will become a 5HKO, will be able to switch in at least two or three times and can use Toxic, Seismic Toss and Protect to beat Yanmega, and can use it as Rock fodder as well lack of recovery is a problem though but you will still be able to stop Yanmega.

And the next Victim of the Week will be:
Calm Mind Reuniclus

Reuniclus @ Electrium Z
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Thunder
- Recover

Reuniclus have a great bulk with 252 HP and 252 Def, very hard to KO and it's very easy to find a way to set Calm Mind up, Psyshock is the STAB that allow it to win Calm Mind wars while Thunder will give it a neutral coverage against any relevant Pokémon in the tier, considering that it can either attack or Calm Mind, it's hard to find a thing that can switch in both attacks and OHKO Reuniclus at +1, or at least something that revenge kill it safely, also Magic Guard allows it to ignore Toxic and Electrium Z prevent Trick and weaken Knock Off, how you usually stop this beast?

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Foul Play
- Wish
- Protect

Umbreon is a counter to Reuniclus especially with Taunt, preventing it from recovering and setting up with Calm Mind. Umbreon gets 5HKO'd by Thunder at +1 and its Gigavolt Havoc does 43.4% max roll. Umbreon can 4HKO with Foul Play or recover off any excess damage with Wish/Leftovers. Taunt is pretty cool in general preventing setup or a random toxic.

0- Atk Umbreon Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 114-134 (26.8 - 31.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

0 SpA Reuniclus Thunder vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Umbreon: 58-69 (14.7 - 17.5%) -- possible 9HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Umbreon: 96-114 (24.3 - 28.9%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Umbreon: 145-171 (36.8 - 43.4%) -- 99.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Reuniclus Thunder vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Umbreon: 86-102 (21.8 - 25.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Reserving Escavalier

Escavalier as a check

Escavalier @ Choice Band
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Knock Off

Even without SpDef investment, Escavalier can switch into Psyshock, status move, or an unboosted Gigavolt Havoc/Thunder and either dent Reuniclus with Pursuit or kill it with Megahorn/dent the switchin heavily. 84 Spe puts Escavalier at 97 speed which is enough to beat out 0 Spe Reuniclus (96 lol). Escavalier's other advantage is that it is slow enough to not mind potential paralysis from regular Thunder although paralysis into Gigavolt could be a problem. This is a check because any variant of Escavalier takes heavy damage from a +1 Gigavolt Havoc and it cannot switch into +2 Gigavolt Havoc even with investment.

252+ Atk Choice Band Escavalier Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 576-678 (135.8 - 159.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Escavalier Pursuit vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 256-302 (60.3 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (on a switch out)

0 SpA Reuniclus Psyshock vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Escavalier: 51-60 (15.7 - 18.5%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock

0 SpA Reuniclus Thunder vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Escavalier: 92-109 (28.3 - 33.6%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO

0 SpA Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Escavalier: 154-182 (47.5 - 56.1%) -- 82.4% chance to 2HKO

+1 0 SpA Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Escavalier: 232-273 (71.6 - 84.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 0 SpA Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Escavalier: 308-363 (95 - 112%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Note: You could also run a specially defensive set with Lefties, 252 HP/172 SpDef/84 Spe and RestTalk to keep Escavalier around for longer, however Gigavolt Havoc still does huge damage. Furthermore, Escavalier cannot OHKO Reuniclus with 0 Atk EVs.

Changed my mind, going with Z-Move Dhelmise as a check

Dhelmise @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Steelworker
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Shadow Claw
- Power Whip
- Anchor Shot

Dhelmise is an offensive check to CM Reuniclus. It takes Gigavolt Havoc very well and can OHKO with Never-Ending Nightmare. It's only a check because you can't switch too much and you have to worry about reuniclus swithing and you wasting the Z-Move

252+ Atk Dhelmise Never-Ending Nightmare (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 440-518 (103.7 - 122.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Durant @ Life Orb / Choice Band
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- X-Scissor
- Iron Head
- Superpower
- Rock Slide

Durant is a Check to Reuniclus, as it can OHKO Reuniclus with its Hustle-boosted X-Scissor, and can switch into Psyshock easily. However, it cannot switch in that easily due to the fear of Thunder 2HKOing or being OHKOed by Gigavolt Havoc because Durant's special bulk is utter garbage.

252 Atk Life Orb Hustle Durant X-Scissor vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 390-460 (91.9 - 108.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

Steelix as a counter

Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 136 Atk / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roar

I've used this on a team for RU because I was missing something for Fairies, a rocker, and Reuniclus for it, and it works. Steelix takes nothing from Thunder due to immunity, and even at +6 Reuniclus barely does more than a third of Steelix's full health with Psyshock. All you gotta do is phaze out so it doesn't destroy you at +6.

Reuniclus Thunder vs. Steelix: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- aim for the horn next time
Reuniclus Gigavolt Havoc vs. Steelix: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- aim for the horn next time
+6 0 SpA Reuniclus Psyshock vs. 244 HP / 0 Def Steelix: 113-133 (32.1 - 37.7%) -- 0.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
136+ Atk Steelix Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 126-148 (29.7 - 34.9%) -- 15.7% chance to 3HKO

Adamant Nature

- Rock Blast
- Megahorn

Megahorn Rhyperior is a decent answer to Reuniclus cause it's immune to thunder and thanks to its already high bulk it takes little damage from psyshock, w/ megahorn you do over half, forcing Reuniclus to recover all the damage and eventually forcing it to switch out and whatnot.

16+ Atk Rhyperior Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Reuniclus: 222-262 (52.3 - 61.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Curse / Encore

Quagsire is a fantastic counter to Calm Mind Reuniclus due to Unaware, which ignores all the stat boosts from Calm Mind. Due to Quagsire's secondary Ground typing, it doesn't have to worry about Z-Thunder at all. Encore would make Quagsire a lot more annoying to Reuniclus since it can lock it into a move which can either prevent Reuniclus from recovering up or another team member can take advantage of it. Psyshock also does no damage to Quagsire due to physical defense investment, though Scald/Earthquake won't be doing much to Reuniclus.

edit - Kudos to Punchshroom for this next bit. Curse essentially allows Quagsire to use Reuniclus as setup bait, boosting its Defenses further which will only cause Psyshock to tickle Quagsire.

0 SpA Reuniclus Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 84-100 (21.3 - 25.3%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

You know you could include Curse to beat Reuniclus (as well as other bulky setup sweepers like CurseLax or SD RestTalk Escav) beyond a shadow of doubt, or at least far more efficiently; I don't even really know what Quag uses Encore for.

Hmmm I never thought about Curse tbh, it will probably work better than Encore. Anyways like The Bill Cipher said, Encore locks Reuniclus into Thunder or Calm Mind so it won't be able to recover, allowing Quagsire to slowly chip Reuniclus to beat it 1v1. Quagsire is naturally faster than Reuniclus too.

So the winners this week are:

Checks
SkywardSword596's Escavalier
Escavalier can take hits if needed and OHKO Reuniclus with a +1 Megahorn (or weaken it with a Pursuit if it switch), the only thing that could hurt is Thunder + paralyze into Gigavolt Havoc but even if that happen Escavalier wins (and we don't consider hax for this anyway).

The Bill Cipher's Dhelmise
Can take some Psyshock hits and OHKO with Never-Ending Nightmare or 2HKO with Shadow Claw, I think SD Dhelmise would work better but still that works very well.

Cheryl.'s Durant
Durant can't take Thunder, can only switch if predict very well another move, but will OHKO with Choice Band X-Scissor (it's 50% with Life Orb but even if fails Reuniclus will be crippled enough).

Counters
HotFuzzBall's Quagsire
Encore will allow it to 1v1 Reuniclus, any hit will do nothing on Quagsire thanks to good defense, Unaware and Electric immunity while Curse will allow Quagsire to threaten Reuniclus's team while allowing to beat it on a easier way (I also don't see a reason to use Encore on a slow Unaware mon anyway, can work but usually will be just filler while Curse is very useful).

Feliburn's Rhyperior
Take Megahorn hits very well and can 2HKO Reuniclus with Megahorn, next time Reuniclus come in will be at 50% and will be forced to Recover, so Rhyperior get a free turn this time and even if it would take several switches for Reuniclus to even weaken Rhyperior enough.

Arifeen's Cresselia
Toxic, Skill Swap then start using Moonlight, can be in problem if Reuniclus keep setting out and Cress could end up weakened, but if a team with Reuniclus do this it's just giving up it's mon.

Honorable Mention goes to:
Mylo Xyloto's Umbreon
Umbreon can Taunt and keep Foul Playing, the only problem is you need 8 Foul Play hits, 2 Taunts and will need to Recover, this could not only spend a lot of PP on Umbreon but you also play around with being paralyzed and no Heal bell on this set, paralyzed Umbreon is slower so you would give some Calm Minds and could then be less safe.

And the next Victim of the Week will be:

Nasty Plot Salazzle

Salazzle @ Poisonium Z
Ability: Oblivious / Corrosion
EVs: 8 HP / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Wave
- Hidden Power Grass / Taunt

Salazzle is a very fast and powerful, Nasty Plot boosts it's already good SpA and start threatening the tier with very powerful STAB combination, Fire Blast and Sludge Wave with Poisonium Z to get a STAB Nuke. Hidden Power Grass hits some Ground- and Water-types who resist Salazzle very well while Taunt can be an option to shut down weak walls, Oblivious prevent Taunt so that's not helping either (Corrosion is only used with Taunt if you want to Taunt things that have Trace as an ability).

Scarf flygon makes a good offensive check to salazzle, since it resists both stabs and can ohko easily. It also resists rocks and is immune to spikes and sandstorm, which makes it so it can't be beaten with hazard support. Flygon even dodges the 2hko from +0 acid downpour + fire blast, so it can come in twice on salazzle. The only thing flygon fears is the +2 z move, which is where the choice scarf comes in. This set can even work as a "lure" for salazzle, since scarf flygon is rare the opponent may try to stay in and ko flygon with a +2 acid downpour if the NP on the switch. Which means this is now a crossover post with lure of the week. Yeah.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 188 HP / 128 Def / 192 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Frustration
- Rest
- Earthquake

Traditional Curse Snorlax is a essentially a hard check to Nasty Plot Salazzle. Snorlax can tank even +2 Sludge Waves from Salazzle but, Snorlax is 2HKOed by a +2 Acid Downpour and another follow attack. If Salazzle consumed her z-move prior, Snorlax can potentially set up on it (depending on whether if Salazzle has Taunt or not) or just simply threaten it out with Frustration or Earthquake, with Earthquake being an obvious KO on Salazzle.

+2 248 SpA Salazzle Acid Downpour (175 BP) vs. 188 HP / 192+ SpD Snorlax: 360-424 (70.8 - 83.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+2 248 SpA Salazzle Sludge Wave vs. 188 HP / 192+ SpD Snorlax: 195-231 (38.3 - 45.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

248 SpA Salazzle Sludge Wave vs. 188 HP / 192+ SpD Snorlax: 99-117 (19.4 - 23%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Snorlax Frustration vs. 8 HP / 0 Def Salazzle: 180-213 (64.5 - 76.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Doing Aerodactyl

Check

Aerodactyl @ Life Orb
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Pursuit
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Aerodactyl holds the interesting niche of being able to put prominent offense threats like Swellow and Salazzle against the wall thanks to its access to pursuit and coverage to bop both of them. Specifically targeting the poisonous lizard, Aerodactyl naturally outspeeds Salazzle so it doesnt have to worry about tanking a hit, can take every hit unboosted (after Rocks damage even) and proceeds to chip down Salazzle through Pursuit or kill it with Earthquake or Stone Edge. Doesnt get much better than this in terms of offensive checks.

252 SpA Salazzle Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Aerodactyl: 102-120 (33.8 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Salazzle Acid Downpour (175 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Aerodactyl: 162-191 (53.8 - 63.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Tyrantrum @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw

Tyrantrum is an offensive check to Salazzle, being able to switch in on a non boosted Acid Downpour with rocks up, and proceed to take out said Salazzle or put a sizable dent into the opposing team. However, Tyrantrum can usually only hard switch in on Salazzle once or twice, as it dies the majority of the time to a non boosted Acid Downpour + Sludge Wave, so you must still play carefully around it, especially with hazards up chipping Tyrantrum down.

248 SpA Salazzle Acid Downpour (175 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyrantrum: 194-228 (63.6 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
248 SpA Salazzle Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyrantrum: 105-124 (34.4 - 40.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
248 SpA Salazzle Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyrantrum: 61-72 (20 - 23.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
