Physical Wall (Skarmory) @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Fluffy / Well-Baked Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Body Press / Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind / Iron Defense

[SET COMMENTS]
Skarmory is a premier physical wall and one of the best Spikers in the tier. Fluffy makes it a hard stop to prominent physical attackers like Zamazenta, Roaring Moon, and Iron Boulder, while Well-Baked Body hardwalls Ceruledge, Cinderace, and even a few specially-inclined attackers like Heatran and non-Discharge Iron Moth. Body Press has excellent synergy with Iron Defense, potentially turning it into a late-game wincon and hitting key targets like Kingambit, while Brave Bird hits Ceruledge and does more damage to Great Tusk and Galarian Zapdos. Leftovers is the preferred item to provide passive recovery, but Rocky Helmet is an alternative to punish pivots like Roaring Moon and Barraskewda on Fluffy variants. Whirlwind has good synergy with Spikes and prevents Skarmory from being setup fodder, while Iron Defense lets it set up alongside physically-inclined threats like Bulk Up Great Tusk. Skarmory pairs especially well with Knock Off users like Manaphy, Empoleon, and Great Tusk, as they can remove Heavy-Duty Boots to accentuate Spikes's effect. Skarmory struggles to check Electric-types like Iron Hands, Fire-types if not Well-Baked Body, and Chien-Pao, making teammates like Great Tusk and physically defensive Manaphy good partners. Skarmory has pitiful special bulk, so it needs strong RegenVest users and specially defensive teammates like Swampert and Blissey. Special attackers that are usually slowed by RegenVest pivots, such as Walking Wake and Deoxys-S, appreciate Skarmory wearing them down with Spikes.

Skarmory is a premire premier physical wall and one of the best Spikers in the tier. Fluffy makes it a hard stop to prominant prominent physical attackers like Zamazenta, Roaring Moon, and Iron Boulder, while Well-Baked Body hardwalls Ceruledge, Cinderace, and even a few specially-inclinded attackers like Heatran and Iron Moth. Body Press has excellent synergy with Iron Defense, potentally turning it into a late-game wincon, and hits key targets like Kingambit Mention somewhere here that it lets you beat Swords Dance users/setup from Tusk etc., while Brave Bird hits Ceruledge and does more damage to Great Tusk and Galarian Zapdos. Leftovers is the preferred item to provide passive recovery, but Rocky Helmet is an alternative to punish pivots like Roaring Moon and Barraskewda on Fluffy variants. Whirlwind has good synergy with Spikes and prevents Skarmory from being entirely passive Could elaborate slightly on this to say it stops bulky setup users, up to you. Skarmory pairs especially well with Knock Off users like Manaphy, Empoleon, and Great Tusk, as they can remove Heavy-Duty Boots to accentuate Spikes's effect. Skarmory struggles to check Electric-types like Iron Hands and Fire-types if not Well-Baked Body Throw in Chien-Pao somewhere here too, making teammates like Great Tusk and physically defensive Manaphy good partners. Skarmory has pitiful special bulk, so it needs strong RegenVest and specially defensive teammates like Swampert and Blissey.
