Wow, this looks like a lot of work (coming from someone who has used spreadsheets for these stats before). Given how Stealth Rock is basically the best move in the game, I guess it doesn't really surprise me that 3 out of 4 teams carry it (assuming they don't run more than 1 user per team). What I find really interesting is how for some of the lower percent moves like Shell Smash, Bullet Seed, and Power Whip can be attributed to one Pokemon (Cloyster, Breloom, and Ferrothorn respectively) and the moves usage largely reflects the Pokemon's usage. For Earthquake, the one move with over 100% usage, I interpret it to mean that for every team that doesn't have an Earthquake user, there is one with two users (or more).

It might be helpful to note that these stats represent usage per team (at least I think so), and not per Pokemon, to clarify for the moves with lower percentages in your list.

EDIT: Hm, still no 1850 stats. Bummer, Antar must either be really busy or having major technical issues with them.

The stats don't surprise much. Scizor, Politoed, Ferrothorn, Dragonite and Jirachi still being the kings and queens of the OU. And now, some stats that I wanna highlight:

| 86 | Charizard |

STOP USING CHARIZARD, IS NOT A FREAKING GOOD POKEMON!!!!!! Seriously, I'm tired of that fire lizard! Is-not-a-good-Pokemon!

| 4 | Dragonite |
| 22 | Salamence |

What about that, Sally? Who is the king of the dragons of the OU now?

| 2 | Politoed |

Politoed, can you give us the secret of your incredible exit in the OU? It's 'cause I make it rain! Rain rules!

This is always going to be a thing. Stop complaining.

Many of the same people using Charizard in OU are the ones inflating Dragonite's usage. In the 1850 stats, Dragonite isn't even top ten... but Latios comes in at #10 by a hair. "King of the dragons" my ass.

Salamence is also likely used less because the once popular Scarf set completely wiped the Dragon Dance set from everyone's minds, and now that the Scarf set is underperforming in today's metagame it's being used less (possibly contributing to Salamence's lower 1850 placement). DDMence and MixMence are still terrifying to face in battle. In fact, the old BW1 comparison of Salamence and Dragonite holds true once again - if you aren't using Extremespeed or taking advantage of Dragonite's better bulk (not just through Multiscale, but actually using some defensive investment), Salamence will always be the better sweeper.

Finally, people did understand the benefits of using Earthquake sun sweeper Venusaur. My idea of PO grown up in PS too! :'D
Earthquake Venusaur has been around since the early days of Black and White. It's also completely inferior to the pure special set. Don't pretend it's your idea.

By the way, don't double post. Use the Edit (
) button.

Can anyone explain the surge in usage for Wigglytuff in the 1850 ubers stats? I find it mindfuckingly random.

Can anyone explain the surge in usage for Wigglytuff in the 1850 ubers stats? I find it mindfuckingly random.
Small number statistics.

Wigglytuff only saw usage ten times, likely by a single player. But that player happened to have a good enough to get their team weighted pretty strongly.

This is why we don't use 1850 stats for anything official--they're too easy to manipulate.

@dbzmariogeno What of it?

Just means that Standard is an extremely popular format (no duh).

Luckily, the ladder tries to match players with similar ratings, and we pretty much completely discard stats from players with ratings significantly below 1500 (keep in mind I'm talking Glicko2 not ACRE). So people who think a team with a Pikachu/Charizard/Bayleef core is pretty darn neat don't affect the rest of us.
