move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: Natural Gift
item: Ganlon Berry / Lansat Berry
ability: Technician
nature: Jolly / Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • sd boosts atk letting breloom use natural gift effectively and giving it sweeping potential
  • mach punch is priority fighting stab that gets a technician boost and can pick off faster targets
  • bullet seed is a very powerful grass stab move w/ technician boost
  • nat gift is used to lure defensive grass types that may try to take breloom on like amoonguss, tangrowth, and mega venusaur as well as luring zapdos if ng ice

Set Details
========

  • maximum power with maximum speed
  • jolly to outspeed most zapdos and kill with ng ice (as well as tie with timid volcanion and outspeed modest)
  • usually best to go adamant with lansat berry for extra power since you cant kill zapdos anyways
  • ganlon makes natural gift ice type to hit pokemon like amoonguss, tangrowth, and zapdos for very high dmg after sd
  • lansat makes natural gift flying type and hits most of the same targets but exchanges the ability to beat zapdos for the ability to beat mega venusaur

Usage Tips
========

  • sd on switch into fat grass/zapdos
  • click ng and watch it drop
  • dont use natural gift before getting to +2, its too weak
  • they can switch out and make you waste your berry if they realize ur ng since it only works once
  • sometimes best to save ng until the second time you sd in order to lure them into false sense of security
  • frail so dont switch directly into atks obv; also ill advised because you could potentially accidentally activate the ganlon/lansat berry
  • you might be tempted to send it in on a knock off but dont do that if the opponent has one of the pokemon natural gift targets because without your berry you can no longer ko these pokemon
  • best brought in with u-turn or volt switch support

Team Options
========

  • bd azu likes fat grasses gone + pressures latios
  • diancie likes venu/amoong gone, checks tflame and torn
  • keldeo likes fat grasses gone, checks weavile. subcm sets especially like having many of their main hard stops taken out of the way
  • lando can set rocks and check talon if defensive, offensive loves tangrowth gone and any non-sd variant can give it a safe way in with u turn.
  • heatran checks non taunt talon, heat wave torn, etc while setting rocks
  • ttar checks torn/thundy/gengar with chople, pursuit traps latios, sets rocks
  • rotom checks birds brings it in safely and can potentially bait in latios on a volt switch letting you send out a pursuit trapper while also wearing down grasses a bit w burns to make it easier for loom to grab the ko
  • mega manectric appreciates breloom luring the likes of mega venu and amoonguss + checks birds and can overwhelm latios thats taken some damage from breloom and brings it in with volt switch.
  • mega sciz can bring loom in safely with u turn, appreciates zapdos being lured, checks weavile and diancie, and pursuit traps latios
  • mixed thundurus can lure latios for breloom and likes bulky grasses taken out of the picture and also takes care of birds

Banned deucer.
seems fine

although you mention not switching loom directly into stuff, its absolutely crucial that it doesnt switch into a knock off especially if the opp has an mon like amoong or zapper so id give it a little mention since loom can act as a really soft bish answer or you might come in on landt knock expecting eq/edge

also in the keldeo part in to mention that subcm is superlit with this loom set

1/3

Another reason not to take damage is to avoid accidental activation of the Ganlon Berry. Basically, never switch it in and it's only safe to SD if you're sure the opponent will switch.
