LC Munna

[OVERVIEW]
Due to its poor Speed and weaknesses to common offensive moves, Munna is outclassed offensively by Abra and defensively by Spritzee and Slowpoke. Abra has an amazing movepool, has much better offensive stats, and doesn't need to set up to be threatening offensively, while Slowpoke has better bulk, a useful ability in Regenerator, which makes it a great pivot, and better reliable recovery in Slack Off. Spritzee is a better bulky Calm Mind sweeper because of its typing and immunity to Taunt making it more reliable.

[SET]
name: Calm Mind Sweeper
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Stored Power
move 3: Dazzling Gleam
move 4: Moonlight
item: Eviolite
ability: Synchronize
nature: Bold
evs: 68 HP / 156 Def / 60 SpA / 156 SpD / 4 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to leverage its bulk and Moonlight to set up with Calm Mind and sweep. This set fails because of Munna's low offensive pressure and poor defensive typing leaving it open to significant threats like Vullaby and Pawniard. Munna is also outclassed as a bulky Calm Mind sweeper by Spritzee; Spritzee has a much better defensive typing and is immune to Taunt thanks to Aroma Veil, while Slowpoke is a much better option as a bulky Psychic-type.

[OVERVIEW]
You can cut out the "with the ban of Baton Pass" part of the first sentence and just structure this as "Munna is generally outclassed by other Psychic-types in LC" or the like. Mention at the end that Spritzee is a more effective Calm Mind sweeper due to its better typing, ability, and bulk.

[SET]
Have the EVs be 68 HP / 156 Def / 60 SpA / 156 SpD / 4 Spe, a bulkier set is better here. Remove the Psychic slash after Stored Power.

[SET COMMENTS]
Rework the "goal" of the set to account for the new EVs, this set attempts to leverage its bulk and Moonlight to set up with Calm Mind and sweep. Remove Abra, replace with Spritzee as the better Calm Mind sweeper. Rephrase last sentence, it's very casually worded right now.

Your name should be capitalized so it shows up correctly onsite.

Fix this, I'll take a look once you implement changes.

[OVERVIEW]
Combine the first and second sentences, it flows really awkwardly right now. Note that Abra is much more immediately threatening than Munna, you want to emphasize that Abra doesn't need the setup to be dangerous.

[SET]
ok

[SET COMMENTS]
The reason the set fails is actually Munna's low offensive pressure and poor defensive typing leaving it open to significant threats like Vullaby. Have the last sentence be about how Spritzee is a better Calm Mind sweeper while Slowpoke is a much better option as a bulky Psychic-type.

[OVERVIEW]
  • First sentence should be something along the lines of: "Due to its poor Speed and weakness to common offensive moves, Munna is outclassed offensively and defensively in Little Cup." You'll need to change the next two sentences around a bit to maintain the flow after this change.
  • Mention Slowpoke as well when talking about Pokemon that outclass it defensively (and make sure to include why)

[SET COMMENTS]
  • See what Merritt suggested above re: Slowpoke

Since you missed part of Merritt's check, I'd like to see this implemented before I stamp it. Please tag me when you think its implemented.

(kind of confused as to why you don't make some note about how Spritzee outclasses Munna up here too. Something as simple as "Spritzee is a better bulky Calm Mind sweeper because of its typing and immunity to Taunt making it more reliable" would work.)

This set attempts to leverage its bulk and Moonlight to set up with Calm Mind and sweep. This set fails because of Munna's low offensive pressure and poor defensive typing leaving it open to significant threats like Vullaby (if you're going to say "threats", it's probably best to give more than one example). Munna is also outclassed as a bulky Calm Mind Sweeper sweeper by Spritzee,(RC);(add semicolon) Spritzee has a much better defensive typing and is immune to taunt with Taunt thanks to Aroma Veil,(AC) while Slowpoke is a much better option as a bulky Psychic-type.
