Ghost Check Alolan Marowak

Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Bone
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock / Will-O-Wisp

Alolan Marowak is a great Magearna as it resists all moves Magearna usually uses, completely resists Thunderbolt due to Lightning Rod and can tank any +1 attack Magearna can use aside Twinkle Tackle. Then can respond and easily blow it back with Flare Blitz.
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 191-225 (73.1 - 86.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Magearna Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 117-138 (44.8 - 52.8%) -- 29.7% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 306-362 (101.6 - 120.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 552-650 (183.3 - 215.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Psychic Counter SpD Jirachi

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 192 SpD / 64 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock
- Wish
- Thunder Wave

A pretty standard set for Jirachi on Psychic, this spread utilizes enough EVs in its Speed stat to reach 252 and creep max invest and natured Magearna. Thunder Wave shuts down Shift Gear and Iron head provides a solid STAB for dealing good neutral damage and providing flinch chances and Wish makes Rachi un-killable 1v1.
252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 252 HP / 192+ SpD Jirachi: 80-95 (19.8 - 23.5%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 76-91 (25.2 - 30.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Fairy Check AV Magearna

Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
Happiness: 0
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Fleur Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Aura Sphere
- Flash Cannon

The year is 20XX; Hoopa-U is banned, half of the OU suspect ladder is using one of P2's teams, and the best way to beat Magearna is to use Magearna. Probably one of my favorite sets to use on Fairy teams, AV Magearna successfully shuts down Shift Gear Magearna before it can rip through Fairy teams. Pretty simple strategy but you just send in AV Mag on the opposing Mag and spam Flash Cannon. Plus, AV Mag is already an amazing set to use on Fairy teams so it doesn't have a specific niche, rather it is a huge asset for the type.
252 SpA Magearna Flash Cannon vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 78-93 (21.4 - 25.6%) -- 0.5% chance to 4HKO

252+ SpA Magearna Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 127-151 (42.1 - 50.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO

Dark Check AV Alolan Muk

Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 248 HP / 12 Def / 248 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Knock Off
- Pursuit
- Poison Jab / Gunk Shot
- Fire Blast

Standard AV A-Muk. Pretty much just spam Fire Blast and hopefully you don't get 3 minimum rolls or miss, otherwise it should work out fine. Magearna can't remain in on A-Muk if it wants to survive because it won't be able to get a KO on it before Fire Blast does it in. If A-Muk happens to be facing Fairy, it's in a great situation anyways because it can just attack whatever comes in with P Jab or Gunk if Magearna switches, but Dark has a good defensive core to keep the type in check anyways. If it's Steel, as long as you account for Heatran you're fine, because nothing else wants to switch into a Fire Blast.

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 248+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 154-183 (37.2 - 44.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 248+ SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 103-123 (24.9 - 29.7%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO

0 SpA Muk-Alola Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 100-118 (33.2 - 39.2%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO

Normal Counter Chansey

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

Chansey counters a multitude of specially based attackers (if not all of them) due to its monstruous special bulk, and Magearna is no exception from the rule. In fact, Magearna's strongest move, a 195BP Twinkle Tackle (from Fleur Cannon), will only take away a third of Chansey's max HP (with a good roll). In return, Chansey can heal itself via Soft-Boiled, use T-Wave to shut down Magearna's sweeping potential and slowly wear it down with Seismic Toss until it faints.
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 166-196 (23.6 - 27.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 202-238 (28.7 - 33.8%) -- 99.2% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 204-240 (29 - 34.1%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Chansey Seismic Toss vs. 0 HP Magearna: 100-100 (33.2 - 33.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

Aren't many of the checks Steel and Poison types which aren't allowed? Sorry if I'm wrong.

Psychic Check

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 148 SpD / 112 Spe
Careful Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Earthquake

This is a Mew set I've used and it can check Magearna quite easily. I nominated it as a check since even though it can switch in everything Magearna has to offer, it will be OHKOed by +1 Magearna's Twinkle Tackle(it is highly unlikely that Magearna can achieve a KO without the Z-move though) It can take any attack and Roost afterwards. Earthquake will always 3HKO so Magearna is not a problem for this Mew.
+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 250-295 (62 - 73.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Magearna Flash Cannon vs. 248 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 154-183 (38.2 - 45.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 148+ SpD Mew: 252-297 (62.5 - 73.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Mew Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 128-152 (42.5 - 50.4%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO

Flying Check

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 196 SpD / 64 Spe
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Roost
- Defog
- Heat Wave

The common Flying type Defog Zapdos also works quite well in checking Magearna. Like Mew, it also can take anything Magearna has too offer, but is OHKOed by +1 Twinkle Tackle. It can however easily 2HKO it and also Roost off the damage.
252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 196+ SpD Zapdos: 172-204 (44.9 - 53.2%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.
+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 196+ SpD Zapdos: 258-304 (67.3 - 79.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 196+ SpD Zapdos: 259-306 (67.6 - 79.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.
0 SpA Zapdos Heat Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 146-174 (48.5 - 57.8%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO.

Hope you like it!

8. The restricted types only apply to Pokemon on that type, for example if Poison is restricted you can still do Dragalge for Dragon.

This Zapdos spread can lose to Twinkle Tackle Magearna if Stealth Rock is up and is guaranteed to lose to +1 Twinkle Tackle, which needs to be accounted for as a legitimate possibility. Because of this, Zapdos isn't a check according to the standard definition.

"Pokémon A checks Pokémon B if, when Pokémon A is given a free switch into Pokémon B, Pokémon A can win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax."

Aren't many of the checks Steel and Poison types which aren't allowed? Sorry if I'm wrong.
you're right, that's why they're not allowed. poison and steel don't struggle with magearna - there's no reason to post checks for those types when they're so abundant. also, thanks to everyone for participating! i'll update everything eventually, except for the zapdos for reasons stated in the above post.
The next round will be up sometime tomorrow.

Fighting Check

Emboar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge

Something I use on my mono fighting team to take care of magearna. The set I'm advertising now is the one I use for Emboar to be good on most MU (EV in speed to outspeed base 70 without investment), but it's not a real check (dies to +1 twinkle tackle), while the other calcs I show here is the most defensive spread that is a check.

+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 212 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Emboar: 301-355 (72.7 - 85.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Reckless Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 440-522 (146.1 - 173.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Assault Vest Emboar: 210-247 (49.5 - 58.2%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO
0 Atk Reckless Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 330-390 (109.6 - 129.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Emboar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge

Something I use on my mono fighting team to take care of magearna. Actually reading Ilama previous post I don't know if it can be considered as a check since it dies at +1 twinkle tackle, but well this is, imo, the best Fighting can do with a mon that won't be dead weight in most fighting's match up, so I thought I'd share it anyway.

+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Emboar: 301-355 (70.9 - 83.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Reckless Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 440-522 (146.1 - 173.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

5. Make sure your Pokemon is viable. If your Pokemon isn't ranked in the viability rankings here, then don't post it.

Oops, sorry. I read the first post but it was some time ago I have to admit. And now since I re-read it I just found out that I posted way after the 7 days deadline. Do you want me to delete both this post and the previous one not to mess this thread more ?
(To be frank I'm thinking about making a post about emboar in the viability rank, I just wanted to talk about it with ivid before so I don't write any irrelevant informations)

Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shift Gear
- Aura Sphere
- Thunderbolt
- Fleur Cannon

Magearna has been a controversial new mon since the beginner of S/M. It has crazy 80/115/115 bulk, 130 SpA, and just about all the coverage it needs to be a massive threat. It can also run a multitude of sets, like Trick Room to handle offensive teams, and a less popular but equally potent specs set.

Psychic Check:

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn
- Blue Flare
Victini can check Magearna with a scarf set pretty reliably which is widely used on mono psychic teams. Victini can live even a +1 twinkle tackle with a naive nature if magearna manages to get +1 due to beast boost. In return victini straight away ohkos magearna with vcreate pretty easily.
+1 252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Victini: 265-312 (77.7 - 91.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 434-512 (144.1 - 170%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SpD / 80 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Protect / Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Wish / U-turn

Specially Defensive Jirachi walls Magearna and can paralyze it to make it easier for the rest of the team to check or to aid in Iron Head flinching it down with its ability. Wish + Protect keeps it from being worn down throughout the game and makes it easier to keep Magearna in check but the standard Stealth Rock set still works as a reliable switch in to Magearna and can get up hazards. Only Modest Choice Specs can actually 3HKO Jirachi with Focus Blast but it'd have to not flinch or miss and the Wish + Protect set can just stall out Focus Blast.

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 176+ SpD Jirachi: 122-144 (30.1 - 35.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 176+ SpD Jirachi: 76-90 (18.8 - 22.2%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Aura Sphere vs. 252 HP / 176+ SpD Jirachi: 68-80 (16.8 - 19.8%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Magearna Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 176+ SpD Jirachi: 165-195 (40.8 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ghost Check

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover
- Taunt

Jellicent can almost always switch in on z-move magearna. Although it does have very low chance of being 2hko'd from twinkle tackle -> fleur cannon after leftovers if two high rolls, magearna effectively loses its z-move in the process. While thunderbolt does annoy it, it lacks the ability to 2hko jellicent without specs, and if it is running specs, ghost has safe switch ins after you determine so. This allows you to recover to full, forcing magearna to switch out. I list it as a check over counter because there is that low chance of being KO'd on the switch in if predicted correctly (and after hazard damage), as well as losing to spec tbolt or if magearna gets a +1.

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Jellicent: 222-262 (55 - 65%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Jellicent: 148-175 (36.7 - 43.4%) -- 98.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Jellicent: 138-164 (34.2 - 40.6%) -- 47.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Jellicent Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 67-79 (22.2 - 26.2%) -- 8% chance to 4HKO

Ghost Check

Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bonemerang / Earthquake
- Flare Blitz / Fire Punch
- Shadow Bone
- Stealth Rock

Marowak-A can also almost always switch in on magearna, with the special case being on twinkle tackle, as magearna would be able to kill it the following turn. This is a check and not a counter because it's very weak to hazard damage, and will only be able to switch into fleur cannon once before being put in range of a KO by another fleur cannon if magearna switches out (then back in later).

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 191-225 (73.1 - 86.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Marowak-Alola: 127-150 (48.6 - 57.4%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO

252+ Atk Thick Club Marowak-Alola Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 344-408 (114.2 - 135.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I'll do more later.

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Stealth Rock

Chansey basically can take any hit any Magearna has to offer and can easily switch into any of Magearna's attacks and recover off due to its insanely high natural special bulk and access to Softboiled. Magearna can also chip away at Magearna's health with Seismic Toss which takes Magearna down in 4 attacks and 3 if Stealth Rocks are on the field.

+1 252 SpA Magearna Aura Sphere vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 168-198 (23.8 - 28.1%) -- 94.1% chance to 4HKO

+1 252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 202-238 (28.7 - 33.8%) -- 0.7% chance to 3HKO

Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

Mega Venusaur resists just about all of the Magearna's moves and can slowly wear it down between Leech Seed and Hidden Power Fire. Without Flash Cannon, the Magearna can't 2HKO Mega Venusaur. Here's the largest amount of damage it's doing:

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Venusaur-Mega: 136-161 (37.4 - 44.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Venusaur-Mega: 91-108 (25 - 29.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

That allows for an easy followup Synthesis.

EVs: 116 HP / 252 SpA / 140 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

lol Magearna counters itself. The strongest attack the Shift Gear Magearna has for the Assault Vest Magearna is a Twinkle Tackle, and even that will be doing mediocre damage at best. Meanwhile, the Magearna can either wear it down slowly with Flash Cannon or Volt Switch pivot into something that can potentially revenge kill if it hasn't gotten up any Shift Gears.

252 SpA Magearna Thunderbolt vs. 116 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 59-70 (17.8 - 21.2%) -- possible 5HKO

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 116 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 94-111 (28.4 - 33.6%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO

Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Quiver Dance

Volcarona does a fantastic job of checking Magearna with the Firium Z or simply a STAB Fire Blast, scoring a OHKO with or without a Quiver Dance under its belt. It can even take a Thunderbolt with decent health remaining.

252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 326-386 (108.3 - 128.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Volcarona Inferno Overdrive (185 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 548-648 (182 - 215.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Magearna Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Volcarona: 94-111 (30.2 - 35.6%) -- 33.7% chance to 3HKO

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Trick

Both Choice Scarf and Choice Specs sets can effectively check Magearna. On Scarf sets, Flamethrower won't always guarantee the OHKO whereas Fire Blast will, meaning you'll have to fall back on Mimikyu or Scarf Gengar for picking it off afterwards. Also, Chandelure can survive a Thunderbolt with decent health remaining.

252 SpA Chandelure Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 284-336 (94.3 - 111.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO

252 SpA Chandelure Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 344-408 (114.2 - 135.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Magearna Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Chandelure: 107-127 (40.9 - 48.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Mega Swampert will have to be Jolly in order to outspeed +2 Magearna under rain. But even with Jolly, Earthquake will still always be OHKOing it. However, it won't be taking a Fleur Cannon well.

252 Atk Swampert-Mega Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 324-384 (107.6 - 127.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

With Swords Dance, Roost, and Bullet Punch, Scizor can either 1v1 the Magearna single-handedly, or U-turn pivot into something like Volcarona to pick it off easily.

252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 136 SpD Scizor: 163-192 (47.5 - 55.9%) -- 25.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Not much to say here either. Choice Scarf Terrakion is capable of outspeeding Magearna even after a Shift Gear, and can pick it off with Earthquake after prior chip damage, or put it within range of Breloom's Mach Punch. Overall a nice check.

I technically don't think this is against the rules or anything. Both of these Zapdos sets seen on either of its two types do a nice job at checking Magearna. They're checks since they can't switch into an unboosted Twinkle Tackle alongside the Fleur Cannon.

SubToxic Zapdos:
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 248 HP / 188 SpD Zapdos: 286-337 (74.6 - 87.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

lol Magearna counters itself.

Probably Ice's safest Magearna check, since Jolly AlolaSash will only be speed tying under Hail and can't OHKO with a Banded/Life Orb Earthquake. Mamoswine, however, actually does have an incredibly high chance to OHKO with Earthquake, and if by some miracle it does survive, it'll be picked off by the following Ice Shard.

252 Atk Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 290-344 (96.3 - 114.2%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Despite how great bulky Stealth Rock Garchomp is on Dragon, an offensive Stealth Rocking lead set does a better job at checking Magearna. Similarly to Mamoswine, Earthquake will have the exact same chance of OHKOing Magearna. But unlike Mamoswine, it doesn't have a priority move to pick it off in case it survives, so it'll have to fall back on Scarf Latios or Extreme Speed Dragonite to finish the job.

252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 290-344 (96.3 - 114.2%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Scolipede has to be Jolly in order to outspeed Magearna with a single Speed Boost after +2. A Jolly Earthquake can pick it off after prior chip damage, or leave it within range of Scizor's Bullet Punch.

Alright, I'm done for now, hopefully I didn't get one that you guys were planning on submitting :) (Also oml easily my largest post yet)
Sorry, but I need to correct a lot of this.

Terrakion (Choice Scarf): Can't even OHKO with Earthquake, so how is this a check? I don't think it even puts Magearna in range of Breloom's mach punch.
Scolipede (Life Orb): Also can't KO with Earthquake. It's KOd by Twinkle Tackle after Stealth Rocks as well.
Zapdos (Sub Toxic / Defog): Both of these sets are KOd by Twinkle Tackle / +1 Fleur Cannon after Stealth Rocks.
Charizard-Mega (Y): KO'd by Thunderbolt after Stealth Rocks
Mamoswine (Focus Sash): Relies entirely on Sash, when against types (Steel/Fairy) with excellent hazard control.
Golem-A (Focus Sash): "
Infernape (Focus Sash): "
Garchomp (Focus Sash): "

That last two are really bad, since these are your leads as well. Basically, a Check or Counter should never rely on a Focus Sash, especially on types that struggle with hazard control like Fighting, Dragon, or Ice.

I guess you're right about a lot of these. Removed them. I didn't think it particularly implied whether it was supposed to check the threat while boosted or unboosted.

Sorry to double post, but does the check always need to check the threat while boosted, or is checking the threat unboosted allowed?

refer to the rules:
Pokémon A checks Pokémon B if, when Pokémon A is given a free switch into Pokémon B, Pokémon A can win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax.
Pokémon A counters Pokémon B if Pokémon A can manually switch into Pokémon B and still win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax.

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Mega Diancie is without a doubt one of the best megas to return in Generation 7 with the incredible buffs it's received, notably its immediate 110 base Speed, no longer needing Protect, and Diamond Storm increasing Defense by 2. Its fantastic mixed stats and great coverage make it rather difficult to handle defensively, while its Diamond Storm Defense increases can make revenge killing a tough task for physical attackers.

This is pretty self-explanatory. Alolan Sandslash is able to outspeed Mega Diancie under hail and always KO it with a Life Orb STAB Iron Head, even after a Diamond Storm defense increase, although it's unable to switch into a Hidden Power Fire:

252 Atk Life Orb Sandslash-Alola Iron Head vs. +2 0 HP / 0- Def Diancie-Mega: 296-348 (122.8 - 144.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

From full health, Piloswine is never 2HKOed by Diamond Storm or Moonblast. Meanwhile, its Earthquake can almost always 2HKO Mega Diancie even with a Diamond Storm(about 71% chance to be exact), and if it barely survives, Ice Shard will pick it off:

4 Atk Diancie-Mega Diamond Storm vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Piloswine: 132-156 (32.7 - 38.7%) -- 99.1% chance to 3HKO

Cradily needs to be at full health to effectively check Mega Diancie, since Moonblast has a slight chance of 2HKOing, which Cradily could take advantage of by Giga Draining the damage off or simply clicking Mirror Coat to take the KO:

4 Atk Diancie-Mega Diamond Storm vs. 208 HP / 252+ Def Cradily: 120-142 (32.8 - 38.9%) -- 10.4% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Special defensive Gastrodon completely shuts Mega Diancie down. It resists Diamond Storm, and has sufficient bulk to live Moonblasts and take it out with Earth Power. It's even possible for Gastrodon to tank a switch in and take Diancie out, but it's unlikely.
