Rules / Tips:

• Make sure your ideas don't include extreme buffs such as giving the Pokemon Huge Power or an insanely powerful move and +100 Special Attack. Be reasonable.
• When making changes to a Pokemon, don't focus only on improving what the Pokemon already does. You could make it work differently by changing its moves, ability, typing, and let it do more than it normally does.
• Submit your idea in full — include the item, EVs, nature, and moves — using the PS! importable format for readability.
• Give a description on how the changes you made help the Pokemon and the typing. This project is meant to encourage discussion and sketchy posts don't help with that.
• Don't insult other people for their ideas even if you think it's bad. Let the voting period decide that.
• Editing your idea is allowed as long as it's not during the voting period.
• Do not post the same set as other Pokemon. There's no precedent to this, but it's obvious when someone has blatantly copies another user and changes just the EVs.
Stats can be boosted in 10s and each boost counts as 1 change to prevent broken submissions; however, you may boost stats by up to 30 if you do not change anything else.
• Do NOT copy any sets from the previous thread. You will be punished.
• You can only post one submission per Pokemon; you can post a total of three submissions, though (one for each Pokemon on the slate).
Bold or make apparent the changes you make to the Pokemon on the set(example).
• You can only make a maximum of 3 changes to a Pokemon. Each new move counts as one move, as does a new ability and a new typing.
• Have fun!

Reminder that you can only submit one Theorymon for each Pokemon. Also remember to check the rules thoroughly - I will not allow any submissions that break them to go through the voting round. Good luck!

Arena Trap Dugtrio Alola

Dugtrio-Alola @ Focus Sash / Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide / Memento
- Sucker Punch
- Reversal / Pursuit / Iron Head

Yes, I'm just doing the very obvious change that Dugtrio-A needs to even be considered over its RBY cousin, giving it Arena Trap. Now it has a reason to be used on Steel by trapping things weak to Ground like Heatran and Victini. This is just the standard Dugtrio set with Iron Head added on in-case you need STAB Steel moves to KO anything you've trapped that wouldn't be dealt with by other moves. EQ, Rock Slide, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Reversal let Dugtrio-A damage what its trapping, Pursuit lets you catch Ghost-types and a few Flying-types on the switch, and Memento is to open up opportunities for Magearna or Scizor to set-up.

more coming later..

Ribombee @ Life Orb / Focus Sash / Fairium Z
Ability: Queenly Majesty
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Moonblast
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Queenly Majesty Ribombee. For those of you that don't know, Queenly Majesty protects the user (and allies) from priority moves. Ribombee is a great mon on bug, but its trash defenses leave it open to being beat by priority moves like ES, Aerilate QA, and Bullet Punch. With Queenly Majesty, Ribombee can become a more potent threat. I also thought it fit well because Ribombee is a bee, and with this ability it would take on the 'queen bee' role.

Dugtrio-a with Sturdy and +10 Spe (120 Spe)
Dugtrio-Alola @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Memento
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Rock Slide / Iron Head

Since two great abilities were already taken (snipes), I've settled on sturdy. This frees up dugtrio-a from having to run focus sash, while maintaining its ability to use reversal and memento, but with the added niche of being able to run z-memento. This allows dugtrio-a to weaken the opposing mon, as well as fully heal a mon on your team of choice. This would be great synergy with a set up sweeper, and your opponent would almost have to switch out of their -2 mon. The speed boost is just to put it on par with its kanto-native cousin.

Ribombee with Spore and Tinted Lens
Ribombee @ Life Orb
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Moonblast
- Bug Buzz
- Spore

Not really a big change from the way ribombee would be used now (if it was used). Except, now it's the fastest spore user in the game. This allows ribombee to guarantee putting 1 (non-immune) mon to sleep, forcing a switch out, guaranteeing 1 quiver dance. Tinted lens synergizes with this set by allowing its two STAB moves to do at least neutral to the majority of mons, except to things such as heatran which 4x resist both bug and fairy. Ribombee still has pretty bad bulk, and isnt the strongest mon in the world (only 95 SpA), so it should be easily stopped as long as your team isn't fighting type.

Magcargo with Magnet Pull, +10 HP (70 HP), Power Gem (optional)
Magcargo @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD or 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Bold Nature or Timid Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Toxic / Power Gem
- Recover / Shell Smash

This set is designed purely to help with the steel match up, and a few others that run steel types mons. Magcargo could effectively trap scarf excadrill netting an easy kill (or shell smash to +6 if they're stuck on earthquake), same goes for skarmory, scizor, and the list goes on. Power gem is added for a stronger move than ancient power if you go the shell smash route.

Magcargo + Simple + 20 Speed

[ BST = 450 (+20) : 60 HP / 50 Atk / 120 Def / 90 SpA / 80 SpD / 50 Spe (+20) ]

Ability: Simple
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Grass] / Ancient Power

So yeah, hopefully this makes Magcargo usable. Woo! Simple because look how stupid magcargo looks: It's dumb as rocks! Geddit? Now it's a credible set up sweeper threat that can actually sweep Steel after a single boost. Woo! +4 Speed = 654 Speed, outspeeding almost the entire metagame!

Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit

Whose a creeper? So I didn't want to just give Alola Dugtrio Arena trap, but I still wanted it to be able to "trap" even in an unconventional way. Stake out accomplishes this by heavily punishing switch ins with 2x power strikes.

Tinted lens is a wonderful ability without any wonderful pokemon to abuse it, but here we are. With it, Ribombee becomes a potent set up sweeper or potentially even a volatile Choice Specs user. tfw torkool snipes you :C

Magcargo @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Protect
- Recover

God snail is already god, so all he needs is to eat some extra buttermilk biscuits with his meals to pack on some extra phat. While Fire has no real need of this at all, Rock could benefit from Mag gaining a bit of extra bulk. We eat those those nasty steel spams. We burn those nasty physical mons.

Frizzy Hair Dugtrio

Base Stats: 35 / 110(+10) / 60 / 50 / 70 / 110
Dugtrio-Alola @ Choice Band
Typing: Ground / Electric
Ability: Tangling Hair / Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fusion Bolt(Hue, "fusion")
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch

Ground would love a competent elec option to help deal with those nasty water MUs.
Electric would love a somewhat competent physical attacker with natural speed.
While the sets would be varied on preference, an electric Dugtrio would be hella lovely for ground to toy with.
It gets old relying on Lando getting a Gravity off in order to get around Cele/Skarm. Dugtrio allows you to avoid being locked into a wasted turn / possibly not run Gravity at all if you trust Dug to handle the load.

Ground
General Water mons are simply dropping if they take 2x+, so won't bother

Ah, noticed this too late.

Ribombee + Dazzling + Taunt + Spore
Ribombee @ Focus Sash/Leftovers/Petaya Berry
Ability: Dazzling
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Moonblast
- Bug Buzz/Roost
- Spore/Substitute/Taunt

With a great Speed tier and Dazzling, Ribombee can be a great set-up sweeper in the lead position. Dazzling protects it from things like Fake Out, and you can use this to either set up a Quiver Dance with Focus Sash or be more defensive and go the SubRoost to protect you from status. If using Substitute, Leftovers or a boosting Berry can be used instead. Taunt can be a great tool in being an anti-lead and protecting Bug teams from early Stealth Rocks. Spore is also another option for a free turn, and most Grass types immune to Spore are weak to Bug.

(I've been having this idea for a long while before this slate so I just really wanted to share this, and I've used Dazzling Rimbombee to some success in AAA.)

Dugtrio-A with Magnet Pull + Will-o-wisp + Fire Lash
Dugtrio-Alola @ Focus Sash/Darkinium Z
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
- Will-o-wisp
- Fire Lash/Memento/Stone Edge

There's something magnetic about this Dugtrio with a twist. Magnet Pull allows it to do something that normal Dugtrio can't- which is to trap flying/levitating Steel types. Will-o-wisp is to support your team and to put pressure on things like Steelix/Skarmory/Celesteela/Bronzong on a timer and softening physical attacks. Fire Lash is an option to do some damage and to lower Defense, softening them up for the next teammate. Otherwise Memento if you really have no chance against something and just want to support your team- best results with Darkinium-Z. Also Alola Dugtrio = Pele's hair = Pele, Hawaiian goddess of fire, so there's a bit of bonus lore.

Magcargo with Prankster + Conversion + Scald
Magcargo @ Normalium-Z
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Lava Plume/Earth Power
- Conversion
- Recover

Prankster Z-Conversion, go go go! Changing to Water type allows it to protect its teammates from being pounded by Water attacks, and mono Water is generally a bulky type that allows Magcargo's defense stat to shine better. A 120 Defense stat is very solid, and Prankster Recover allows it to heal itself which is good when he is boosted up. Earth Power is an option against Electrics while Lava Plume is for Grass types- although you probably don't want to change to Water type against those teams anyway.

Otherwise, there are other options that go with Prankster such as Stealth Rock, screens, Toxic or Will-o-wisp if you don't want to use Z-conversion. You can even use Z-Memento, just make sure there are no Dark types left.
