Bringing back a long beloved tournament format, seeded tournaments make sure that all the best action is saved for the end. Players will be given their seed rankings by a select group of individuals which will determine their opponents over the course of the tournament.

Once signups are finalized, the Seed Council will assign rankings to each player based on their skill level. The tournament will start off with the higher seed players being matched with the lower seed ones. This tournament format ensures that two top players don't end up facing each other early, and battles between two high-ranking players are saved for the end. The seeding council will comprise of Attribute, Azick, Chaitanya, DugZa and maroon.
Seeds once decided are final and no seed change requests will be entertained.
Tournament Rules are as follows:
  • Standard Smogon clauses & tournament rules apply.
  • Single Elimination.
  • Best of 5 with SV / SS / SM / ORAS / BW Monotype, with the first game being SV and following games being decided by the person who lost the prior game.
  • Ghosting is forbidden in each round and any obvious or blatant cases will have hefty consequences.
  • Battles for future sets will not be counted until that set is live.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown, which is the Main server or Smogon Tours servers. Matches played on any other server will be void and must be redone on one of those 2 servers.
  • Each round will only last for 7 days, extensions will be given on a strict case by case basis.
  • Saving replays is mandatory as it will allow us to clear any disputes that arise.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
  • Baton Pass Clause: Baton Pass is banned
  • Same Type Clause: Pokémon in a team must share a type.
  • Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
  • Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
  • OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
  • Moody Clause: Moody is banned
  • Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
  • Endless Battle Clause: Forcing endless battles is banned
  • HP Percentage Mod: HP is shown in percentages

As stated in the previous round, I suck at predictions but that doesn't stop me from doing them anyway :D

(1) Trichotomy vs. TheWyvernKing (16) - It's gonna be an uphill series for the boy wyv, I think his best bet is try to win in the builder and bring some surprises for the games 60/40
(15) yedla vs. ArkenCiel (34) - Arken had a really fun series to watch but I think yedla has a slight edge ingame; could go both ways tho 55/45
(3) DugZa vs. Fírnen (46) - I don't know much about Firnen, I'm feeling Dugza on this one 60/40

(1) Trichotomy vs. TheWyvernKing (16) - it's the oras bug main vs the most favored player in this tour. naturally i will bold the most favored player in this tour. wyv is goated so these games will probably be a delight to watch but i gotta agree w leaf and say that he needs to bring some one trick ponies at the v least if he wants results. 60/40
(15) yedla vs. ArkenCiel (34) - i wanted to bold arken but after our latest discussion on bo5s & oldgens i dont think i should LOL. but really, arken's sv game is better but yedla might snatch in oldgens. 55/45
(3) DugZa vs. Fírnen (46) - dugza is scarily consistent to the point of disbelief. firnen is having an extremely good run but i think dugza can put an end to it. 60/40

(22) Fraolain vs. avarice (27) - fraolain builds his own teams as far as i'm aware? and i think his teams are solid and plays are straight. he's probably gonna load some fire and win. 55/45
(10) Cielau vs. sasha (58) - sasha is back in the game after a while (i hope ur ok!). i think cielau boasts more experience and they are top 10 mono oat rn so def see them winning here. i like both players so im looking forward to these games. 60/40
(9) ikiarihS vs. roxie (40) - sorry leaf but i would be lying if i didnt think shiraiki would win. roxie is making a steady comeback after their inactivity during mpl and winning this week would be huge in a comeback aspect but i think shiraiki is just gonna load a good mu and win. 55/45

funnily enough 7/8 of my predicts are bolding the higher seeded player. looks like cee won't get many opportunities for upset factors this round if the predicts end up being accurate. lgi

(15) yedla vs. ArkenCiel (34) - I like this pairing, I think their level is close but giving a slight edge to le yed
(3) DugZa vs. Fírnen (46) - Very good pairing. I keep believing Fírnen is one of the top mono players I've seen. He might be a bit rusty but I don't think he lost that much and DugZa is great so that pairing appears balanced to me. Hope to see a good one!
(4) Floss vs. Dj Breloominati♬ (13): I'm not super familiar with Breloominati but I know he performed very well recently. Still I don't have enough elements to bold against Floss
(22) Fraolain vs. avarice (27): Ok I was SUPER EXCITED to play few games of mons in that tour but Fraolain robbed me so much that I would be lying if I pretend I don't wish him bad luck

(15) yedla vs. ArkenCiel (34) - One of the coolest pairing imo, I see yedla prob better in ss/sv and Arken more complete in each gen. I bold Arken but wasn't surprise if yedla take this
(3) DugZa vs. Fírnen (46) - As a french player who played during 2020/2021, I'm happy to see Firnen go so far and at the same time it's not a real surprise. Now, vs DugZa that's hard, I want to bold Firnen but I can't forgot how good is DugZa soooo let's bold the vs, (the best player of this tournament !)
(4) Floss vs. Dj Breloominati♬ (13) - Dj Breloominati is soo good in monotype this year, but don't bolding Floss is too hard, especially atm
