[OVERVIEW]

Golett's niche lies in the fact that it is the only Pokemon in LC that can set Stealth Rock and block Rapid Spin at the same time, though it does lose to the most common spinner in the tier, Staryu. By virtue of its Ground / Ghost typing, Golett sports immunities to Normal-, Electric-, and Fighting-type moves, letting it hard counter non-Pursuit Munchlax and non-Shadow Ball Nasty Plot Croagunk while also beating Rock-types like Onix, Archen, and Cranidos. Golett is also one of the few Ghost-types available that aren't vulnerable to Alolan Grimer. Furthermore, its impressive Attack combined with Iron Fist allows Golett to hit decently hard, and its expansive movepool gives it coverage options to hit specific threats. However, Golett has fairly low Defense and Special Defense and is also slow, (AC) and its typing leaves it with glaring weaknesses to extremely common Dark-, Water-, and Grass-type moves. Because of this, it is unable to check most Fighting-types, fearing Knock Off. Golett is also vulnerable to common threats in Vullaby and Pawniard due to its typing. Golett faces competition from other Stealth Rock setters like Onix and Dwebble, which are faster and can check more Pokemon. Lastly, Golett also faces competition as a defensive Ghost-type from Pumpkaboo-XL, which has much more bulk and access to Synthesis and Will-O-Wisp.

Moves
========

Drain Punch is boosted by Iron Fist, dents Normal-types like Munchlax and Bunnelby, and hits Ferroseed. It also provides good coverage as well as recovery, allowing Golett to stay healthy over the course of the match while weakening its switch-ins. STAB Earthquake hits Steel-, Rock-, and Poison-types like Magnemite, Onix, Alolan Grimer, and Croagunk hard. Stealth Rock wears down the enemy team with chip damage. Ice Punch allows Golett to hit Grass- and Flying-types like Snivy and Vullaby and is boosted by Iron Fist. Shadow Punch can be run over Ice Punch for its solid neutral coverage. It is boosted by STAB and Iron Fist, enabling Golett to 2HKO Slowpoke and bulky Frillish.

Set Details
========

44 HP EVs and 196 Defense EVs increase Golett's physical bulk, allowing it to take hits from bigger threats in the tier at least once; Golett has a high chance of surviving bulky Pawniard's Knock Off. 164 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature allow Golett to hit as hard as possible without sacrificing too much bulk. They also enable it to OHKO Pawniard with Drain Punch, OHKO Chinchou with Earthquake, and 2HKO Ponyta with Earthquake. 76 Speed EVs let Golett reach 11 Speed, allowing it to outspeed 10 Speed Pokemon like Frillish, Hippopotas, 36 Speed EVs Snubbull, and uninvested Timburr. Eviolite increases Golett's bulk and survivability, and Iron Fist increases the power of Drain Punch, Ice Punch, and Shadow Punch.

Usage Tips
========

Golett's main role is to set up Stealth Rock and then attack whenever it can. Golett should be switched into Pokemon it beats, such as non-Shadow Ball Nasty Plot Croagunk, non-Pursuit Munchlax, and Onix. It should not be switched into powerful attacks from Pokemon like Rufflet and Doduo. Refrain from switching Golett in too much, as it has poor bulk and a pretty bad defensive typing. Except when switching into a resisted attack, Golett should be brought in via pivot support or after a teammate faints. Drain Punch is a good move for finishing off weakened threats due to the healing it provides. Set up Stealth Rock against Pokemon Golett checks like Onix and non-Pursuit Munchlax as well as support Pokemon like Spritzee. Be extremely careful when using Golett to spinblock, as both Staryu and Drilbur can beat it one-on-one. Only switch Golett in if you are sure that the foe will go for Rapid Spin; otherwise, Golett will be hit hard by Staryu's Scald or Hydro Pump or Drilbur's Earthquake.

Team Options
========

Dark-types like Pawniard, Alolan Grimer, and Vullaby can switch into Knock Off and deal with the Ghost-types that threaten Golett. Pawniard functions especially well due to it dissuading Defog, letting it protect Golett's entry hazards. Grass-types such as Snivy and Foongus can threaten Water-types like Staryu and Corphish that trouble Golett, while it is able to switch into the Poison-type moves that threaten them in return. Grass-types are also able to deter Drilbur from using Earthquake, allowing Golett to switch in more easily. Fighting-type Pokemon like Mienfoo and Timburr can handle the Dark-types that beat Golett. Fairy-types like Snubbull, Cottonee, and Spritzee can also deal with Dark-types, and Golett can check Poison-types like Croagunk that beat them. Said Fairy-types can also threaten Fighting-types like Mienfoo that typically carry Knock Off. Powerful Flying-types such as Rufflet and Doduo can threaten the Grass-types that beat Golett. It can switch into the Electric-(AH) and Rock-type moves that trouble them in return. Golett functions great with Sticky Web up, so setters like Surskit can come in handy. Pivots like Mienfoo, Magnemite, and Chinchou can bring in Golett safely with U-turn or Volt Switch.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Golett has an expansive movepool that includes coverage options to hit specific threats. Rock Slide is good coverage for Flying-types and never misses due to No Guard, but it isn't worth using over Ice Punch, which hits more of the metagame. Dynamic Punch along with No Guard can be run to heavily damage Dark-types and cause confusion to switch-ins, but Drain Punch already hits Dark-types hard anyway and can also heal Golett, and Golett values the damage boost given by Iron Fist. Fire Punch can be used to nail Ferroseed, while Thunder Punch can hit Water-types like Staryu. However, Ferroseed is already hit hard by Drain Punch, and Thunder Punch isn't as useful as Golett's other attacks. Golett can run Toxic to punish its switch-ins like Hippopotas, defensive Staryu, and Mudbray. However, doing so will make Golett lose out on coverage, and Toxic takes a long time to do significant damage. Golett has access to an amazing special movepool with moves like Shadow Ball, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Ice Beam, and Psychic, but its horrible Special Attack renders these moves completely inferior to its physical moves. Rock Polish or Curse allows Golett to become a setup sweeper, and it can make use of the boosts due to its excellent coverage. However, Golett is too slow and easily KOed by many common Dark-, Water, and Grass-type attacking moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types and Dark-type Coverage**: Dark-types like Pawniard, Vullaby, and Scraggy are able to KO Golett with their super effective STAB moves. Furthermore, many Pokemon in the tier carry Knock Off as coverage, such as Mienfoo, Timburr, and Doduo, making Golett weak to these Pokemon as well.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Staryu, Corphish, and Carvanha force Golett out with their super effective STAB moves, although they don't appreciate switching into it.

**Ghost-types**: Ghost-types like Gastly, Frillish, and Pumpkaboo-S are able to outspeed Golett and KO it with their STAB moves. However, if Golett is running Shadow Punch, they cannot switch in.

**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Cottonee, Snivy, and Pumpkaboo-XL threaten Golett with their super effective STAB moves as well as their resistance to Earthquake. These Pokemon are hit hard by Ice Punch, however.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Hippopotas, Mudbray, Spritzee, and Foongus don't take much damage from Golett's atacks and can proceed to wear it down.

Overview
Golett doesn't hard counter Munchlax at all. In fact, Munchlax commonly carries Pursuit meaning it isn't even a great check
Archen isn't really that common, so use Pawniard or Ferroseed or Dwebble, etc.

Set
refer to the moves section right under this.

Moves
If Golett's only niche (emphasized in first bullet of overview) is SR, then why do you treat it like a throw away in this section? Either change the first bullet, move this to be slashed next to Ice Punch, or remove it all together.
Also remove the part of the Stealth Rock bullet where you mention Golett's switch ins, and just stick to saying it damages the enemy team as a general statement.
Don't mention Dragon-types. They're not good in LC.

Set Details
Why mention 2HKOing Drilbur if Drilbur can 2HKO Golett? Drilbur outspeeds, and a Golett switching into a Drilbur is much more possible than the other way around, as Golett is a Spinblocker.
Add Shadow Punch to list of Punches

Usage Tips
As mentioned above, Golett doesn't really beat Munchlax, and Croagunk commonly runs Knock Off or Dark Pulse.
Combine first 2 bullets
the 3rd bullet is fluff and should be removed. Who sets up SR when SR is already up ?_?
If Drilbur checks Golett, why mention the calcs in the Set Details section?
Add Drain Punch is a good move for finishing off weakened enemies as it can heal Golett up a bit.

Team Options
Again, Golett doesn't really check gunk.
Don't mention Spinirak. Surskit is far far far surperior.
Mention Pawniard in particular because it covers Defog

Other Options
really good :)

Checks and Counters
fine

Go ahead and implement Drew's check. Nice work! All you don't need to implement is the removal of Croagunk as long as you clarify that it's Nasty Plot Croagunk that Golett is checking.

Overview
* Find a way to merge your second and third lines, since otherwise the second line is just dex information and something we already know.
* Give examples of the coverage options that you say allow Golett to hit specific threats (Drain Punch and Ice Punch should be the ones mentioned)
* I'd also say that Golett's typing and poor stats leave it pretty vulnerable to common threats in **insert examples here**.

Set
name: Tank
move 1: Drain Punch
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stealth Rock / Shadow Punch
move 4: Ice Punch / Shadow Punch
item: Eviolite
ability: Iron Fist
nature: Adamant
evs: 44 HP / 164 Atk / 196 Def / 76 Spe

Siding with Drew on this one. Shadow Punch is a good option on Golett, but Stealth Rock is more or less mandatory since it doesn't justify use if it isn't using Stealth Rock, which is why it should be slashed with an arguably much less valuable option in Ice Punch.

Moves
* Change Lickitung to Bunnelby in your Drain Punch line; the latter is much more relevant.
* I take issue with your Ice Punch line. Dragon-types are irrelevant, and telling us all of the types of Pokemon hit by the attack is just dex information anyway. Modify the line in saying that it hits the Flying- and Grass-types that otherwise wall Golett, and give examples.
* Change your Shadow Punch line a bit, since it won't have perfect coverage anymore without Ice Punch, and shouldn't be used over Stealth Rock ever.

Set Details
* As Drew said, you shouldn't mention Drilbur here, since Drilbur beats Golett 1v1. Give an example of something that it can actually beat.
* Give some more examples of OHKOs or 2HKOs Golett can secure with the offensive investment. One isn't enough.

Usage Tips
* Clarify that it's Nasty Plot Croagunk in your first line. You can keep the Munchlax mention.
* Like Drew said, remove the third line. That's pretty obvious information.
* I don't really like the line that talks about when to use Earthquake. Say that it should be used to damage opponents that don't take much damage from Drain Punch, and then give examples, since using it on Pokemon that are weak to Ground is too obvious for Usage Tips.
* 'Set up Stealth Rock against Pokemon Golett checks as well as support Pokemon like Spritzee.' - give examples of Pokemon Golett checks.
* Add 'or Shadow Claw' to the end of your last line, since it's a lot more common of a move on Drilbur.
* Say something here about refraining from switching Golett in too much, since it has a pretty bad defense typing and poor bulk. Say that unless switching into a resisted attack, it should be brought in via pivot support or after a teammate faints.

Team Options
* Remove Croagunk mentions in your first line, since Nasty Plot Croagunk sounds kind of weird in this situation.
* Add some examples of pivots that can safely bring Golett into play.

Other Options
* Add Rock Slide to the top of this section. Say that it's good coverage for Flying-types and never misses due to No Guard, but isn't worth it over Ice Punch, which covers more of the metagame.
* Don't mention Gyro Ball here, it barely damages most Fairy-types since they're either slower or equal to Golett in Speed.
* Mention in the Fire Punch/Thunder Punch line that Ferroseed's already hit hard enough by Drain Punch, while Thunder Punch usually isn't as useful as Golett's other attacks.
* Remove the Rock Tomb/Bulldoze/Low Sweep line, no reason to use these moves when Golett's goal is to deal as much damage as possible, which isn't being done in using such low bp attacks.
* Give some examples of the special attacks that you say are part of Golett's expansive special movepool.

Checks and Counters
* Remove 'and they are able to use Knock Off on Golett, severely weakening it.' in the Dark-type section, since that's sort of redundant information.
* Change 'faster Pumpkaboo formes' to Pumpkaboo-S, no other fast Pumpkaboo is relevant.
* No need to say 'offensive Frillish' - just Frillish works.
* Replace Foongus with Pumpkaboo-XL as your Grass-type example, since Foongus doesn't resist Earthquake.

Make sure both Drew's AM check and this check have everything in them implemented, and give yourself 1/3 afterward.

Hi Fireflame479, sorry about the loooooooooong wait

Overview:
- Mention something about losing against the most common spinner in the first line

Moves:
- The Drain Punch line is almost exactly the same as the xy analysis, please rephrase it. This line caused someone to approach me about potential plagiarism, but the rest looks fine.

Set Details:
- The bit about Onix should be changed a bit. It's true that Golett 2hkos Weak Armor/Evio Onix but it plays out differently against BJ Onix. It can OHKO it after rocks/any chip but can only 3hko it without that. It may be best to just use a different example and not go into the specifics of all that.

Usage Tips:
- The 3rd and 5th points are unnecessary
- Remove Shadow Claw from the part talking about Drilbur, add hydro for Staryu

Great work with this! QC 2/3

[OVERVIEW]
  • Many NP Gunks run Shadow Ball, specify that Golett only checks variants lacking this.
  • It's also worth mentioning that its one of few Ghosts available that isn't vulnerable to AGrimer
Usage Tips
========
  • Again, specify non-SBall Croagunk
  • Clarify what Golett's main role is. Is it setting rocks? Spinblocking? Switching into stuff? This should be in the first line
Team Options
========
  • Grass-types also make Drilbur more hesitant to click EQ, letting Golett switch in more easily.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Dynamic Punch > Superpower, so mention it instead
  • Mention that Toxic also takes a long time to do significant damage due to LC's low HP stats
  • Change 'Rock Polish and Curse' to 'Rock Polish or Curse'; you're never running both since they contradict and take up valuable moveslots
QC 3/3, go harass GPers

However, Golett is too slow and easily KOed by many common Dark-, Water, and Grass-type attacking moves in Dark, Water, and Grass.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Staryu, Corphish, and Carvanha threaten force Golett out with their super effective STAB moves, although they don't appreciate switching into it.
