[OVERVIEW]

Psychic
========

Gardevoir's Fairy typing makes it a valuable Pokemon on Psychic teams, as it can check most threatening Dark- and Dragon-types like Mega Sableye, Kyurem-B, and Hydreigon. Gardevoirite allows it to Mega Evolve and serve as a tremendous wallbreaker. Mega Gardevoir's ability in Pixilate makes its STAB Hyper Voice devastate many threats such as Mega Sableye, Mandibuzz, and Dragonite. On the other hand, regular Gardevoir's Trace allows it to perform well against weather and Terrain sweepers such as with Swift Swim Kingdra and Sand Rush Excadrill by making it outpace and either KO them or force them out. It also has access to utility moves such as Encore and Taunt to help with status users and entry hazard setters such as Chansey and Heatran. However, Mega Gardevoir faces competition for the Mega Evolution slot on Psychic due to the type's many options in Alakazam, Latias, Gallade, and Slowbro. Gardevoir and its Mega forme also sit at an average Speed tier, making them susceptible to fast revenge killers, especially Choice Scarf users like Victini, Heracross, and Excadrill. Furthermore, Gardevoir's terrible physical bulk makes it weak to many common priority users and physical attackers such as Bisharp, Mega Scizor, and Mega Sharpedo.

Moves
========

Hyper Voice is Mega Gardevoir's strongest possible STAB move thanks to Pixilate's boost, OHKOing most Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Kyurem-B, and Mega Gallade. Psyshock is the second STAB option, hitting Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, Crobat, and Toxapex as well as other Pokemon that resist Hyper Voice such as Fire-types. Psyshock also helps against specially defensive threats like Mantine. Focus Blast hits Steel-types that resist both of Gardevoir's STAB moves like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Magnezone and threatens Normal-types like Porygon2. Will-O-Wisp is a great utility move used to cripple physical attackers like Bisharp, Mimikyu, Alolan Muk, and Mega Scizor on the switch. Taunt can be used to prevent foes like Chansey, Klefki, and Jirachi from setting up entry hazards or inflicting status and keeps the likes of Mega Charizard X and Gyarados from setting up. Encore can be used to surprise opponents and lock threats like Sucker Punch Bisharp, Light Screen + Reflect Klefki, and Substitute Suicune as well as Pokemon like Chansey and Heatran into status moves and hazards.

Set Details
========

Gardevoirite is needed to grant Gardevoir higher Special Attack and Speed as well as Pixilate to boost Hyper Voice and give it Fairy-type STAB. A Timid nature and maximum Speed EVs allow Mega Gardevoir to outpace Pokemon like Life Orb Kyurem-B and Nidoking. Maximum Special Attack EVs allow Gardevoir to act as a wallbreaker, denting anything that doesn't resist its attacks. Trace is used prior to Mega Evolving, as it can copy abilities like Flash Fire from Heatran, Water Absorb from Mantine, and Speed-boosting abilities such as Swift Swim and Sand Rush.

Usage Tips
========

Mega Gardevoir should be used early on in the game to cripple any opposing walls to assist its teammates; however, it also is a powerful late-game sweeper if faster threats have been disposed of and defensive checks have been crippled or KOed. It can almost always fire off a Pixilate Hyper Voice once in play, allowing it to dent many threats that don't resist it. Thanks to Hyper Voice's few drawbacks, Mega Gardevoir can act as an incredible revenge killer. Mega Gardevoir can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physically offensive threats such as Alolan Muk and Bisharp as they switch in. Encore should be used to lock Pokemon like Chansey and Heatran into Stealth Rock or Toxic, and it can also be used to threaten things like Sucker Punch Bisharp. Taunt prevents foes like Zapdos and Mantine from firing off status moves and Heatran and Chansey from setting up entry hazards. Even though Mega Gardevoir's Pixilate lets it perform better as a wallbreaker, Trace can be used prior to Mega Evolving to counter weather-dependent threats like Mega Swampert, Excadrill, and Kingdra. The main drawback to not Mega Evolving immediately is that without Pixilate, Hyper Voice is practically worthless, so be sure to know when it is necessary to Mega Evolve and when to utilize Trace. Mega Gardevoir should be cautious when switching into Pokemon that carry status moves that cripple it like Zapdos, Toxapex, and Porygon2, as well as into physical attackers like Choice Scarf Excadrill, Terrakion, and Scolipede; that being said, it can be switched into weak special attacks, but it must be careful, as it doesn't run any reliable recovery.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Victini is a necessity, as it can outpace other Choice Scarf threats that Mega Gardevoir struggles against such as Excadrill, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Bulu. Victini is also appreciated because it checks common threats to Psychic like Volcarona and Mega Scizor thanks to STAB V-Create, and it also has the ability to cripple specially defensive walls that Mega Gardevoir doesn't appreciate such as Jirachi, Chansey, and Alolan Muk. Stealth Rock users such as Deoxys-S, Mew, and Jirachi help Mega Gardevoir's role in wallbreaking by providing chip damage every time an opposing Pokemon enters the field. Deoxys-S can also set up dual screens, Jirachi provides an immunity to Poison-type attacks, and Mew's Genesis Supernova can set up Psychic Terrain to boost the damage output of Gardevoir's Psychic-type attacks. Meloetta is a great partner, as it is immune to Ghost-type attacks from threats like Gengar, Alolan Marowak, and Mimikyu. An entry hazard remover like Latios, Mew, or Starmie helps prevent Mega Gardevoir from taking unnecessary damage upon entry. Slowbro's amazing physical bulk helps it check common threats to Mega Gardevoir such as Mega Lopunny, Terrakion, and Landorus-T, and its Thunder Wave cripples opposing Pokemon and allows Mega Gardevoir to successfully outspeed and KO them. Alakazam can be used to take out boosted physical attackers like Mega Charizard X and Mega Sharpedo with Counter.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Psychic
--------

Mega Gardevoir can use Calm Mind to overwhelm walls like Zapdos and Mantine with its amazing power, but that prevents it from using Will-O-Wisp to cripple threats like Bisharp. Mega Gardevoir can run Hidden Power Fire to deal more damage to Scizor and Ferrothorn, but this would replace either Focus Blast, making Gardevoir walled by Heatran, or Taunt or Will-O-Wisp, making it susceptible to status users and common threats to Psychic such as Zapdos and Bisharp. Substitute is an option to prevent status from users like Porygon2, Zapdos, and Mantine while making Mega Gardevoir a reliable check to Bisharp. Choice Scarf Gardevoir can be used to fire off faster Moonblasts, but it's generally outclassed by other Choice Scarf users like Victini and Jirachi.

Checks and Counters
===================

Psychic
--------
**Special Walls**: Specially defensive walls such as Chansey, Alolan Muk, and Jirachi normally take Gardevoir's attacks fairly well and can cripple it with status or KO in return.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Mega Scizor and Celesteela generally can take a hit from Gardevoir and OHKO it back with their Steel-type moves.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion, Kyurem-B, and Excadrill can easily revenge kill both Gardevoir and Mega Gardevoir. Priority users such as Scizor, Bisharp, and Dragonite also check Gardevoir and Mega Gardevoir by forcing them to switch out.

**Paralysis**: Paralysis from Thunder Wave users like Chansey and Klefki can cripple Gardevoir by lowering its capabilities as a revenge killer and wallbreaker by halving its Speed.

Overview:
*Gardevoir's Fairy-typing makes it a staple on Psychic teams as it can check most Dark-types that threaten Psychic like Mega Sableye and Hydreigon.
- Also add Dragon-types too.
- Discuss about Gardevoir's utility/support moves and how it helps out Psychic teams.

Set 1 Mega

Moves:
*Psyshock is the second STAB option, hitting Poison-types that otherwise resists Hyper Voice like Mega Venusaur, Crobat, and Toxapex, as well as other Pokemon that may resist Hyper Voice such as Fire-types.
- Add how it's also helpful against special walls and give an example.
- After discussing with one of my QC pals, we conclude that Encore should be mentioned but don't slash with any of the above moves. I do think that much of us sleep on it and don't give it enough credit but it's a great utility move to surprise your opponents in locking opposing mons into status moves, forcing switches, and create mind games with your opponent. From my experience it does help a lot, locking Klefki into screens, Bisharp into Sucker Punch, hazard setters into spikes, toxic spikes, sr, take out Suicune once it's locked into Sub, etc. Either way, you still have the benefit of hitting the threat that's locked into Encore or the threat switching in on Mega Garde out of the Encore-locked mon.

Set Details:
*Timid Nature and Maximum Speed EVs allow Mega Gardevoir to outpace Pokemon like Life Orb Kyurem-B, Nidoking, and Double Dance Landorus-T.
- Not sure if I like Double Dance Landorus-T as an example. You'd be outspeeding Landorus-T without Timid since those types of variants are usually Adamant nature. Hyper Voice doesn't KO it and it needs Stealth Rock in order to do so, even that only has around a 43% chance to KO, while Adamant Landorus-T can KO with Earthquake from full health. Try a better example.

Usage Tips:
*Mega Gardevoir can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physically attacking threats, such as Tapu Bulu and Bisharp.
- Sounds more of a moves section if anything, and I'd probably replace Tapu Bulu with something more annoying to Psychic like Alolan Muk.
- Since Encore is now mentioned in the moves section, discuss how and when to use Encore.
*Even though Mega Gardevoir's Pixilate lets it to perform better as a wallbreaker, Trace prior to Mega Evolving can be used to counter weather dependent threats like Mega Swampert, Excadrill, and Kingdra.
*The main drawback to not Mega evolving immediately with Gardevoir is that without Pixilate, Hyper Voice is practically worthless, so be sure to know when it is necessary to Mega evolve and when too utilize Trace.
- These can be merged together. Say that Gardevoir should be Mega Evolving immediately to outpace threats such as...while there are times it doesn't have to right away with Trace checking threats such as Sand Rush Excadrill, Swift Swim Kingdra, etc.
- No mentioning about when to use Taunt here?
- Talk about Encore.

Team Options:
*Stealth Rock users such as Deoxys-S, Mew, and Jirachi help Mega Gardevoir's role in wallbreaking by providing chip damage every time an opposing Pokemon enters the field.
- Deoxys-S setting up dual screens for Mega Gardevoir, Jirachi's Steel typing has immunity against any Poison attack and U-turning and taking out Fairy-types, Mew with Mewnium Z can additionally break down the opposing team alongside Mega Gardevoir.

Set 2 Scarf

Usage Tips:
*Use Trick on walls that tank Gardevoir's attacks as it lacks wallbreaking power like Alolan Muk, Chansey, and Zapdos.
- Mention how Gardevoir should be careful of those that have Mega Stones and those that tend to carry Choice items since they can switch into that.

Team Options:
- Something about Mega Latias, can check Dark- and Dragon-types and use Healing Wish to help it set up Calm Mind late-game and sweep.
- Mew stallbreaking capabilities to help with bulky mons as well as capitalizing on Gardevoir's revenge killing in denting the opposing team with Mewnium Z Double Dance.

Moves
========

*Hyper Voice is Mega Gardevoir's strongest possible STAB move thanks to Pixilate's 1.3x 1.2x boost, OHKOing most Dark-, and Dragon-, and Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Kyurem-B, and Mega Gallade respectively. (I would talk about mega gallade separately from this statement if you're going to talk about it, bc this is implying the fairy coverage is helping the team with fighting type pokemon overall, which it's not - only m gallade)
*Psyshock is the second STAB option, hitting Poison-types that otherwise resists Hyper Voice like Mega Venusaur, Crobat, and Toxapex, as well as other Pokemon that may resist Hyper Voice such as Fire-types.
*Focus Blast hits Steel-types that resists both of Gardevoir's STAB moves like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Magnezone for super effective damage. (add in hitting normal types like P2 super effectively)
*Substitute is used to prevent status being taken from users like Porygon2, Zapdos, and Mantine, while offering a reliable check to Bisharp.
*Will-O-Wisp is a great utility move used to cripple physical attackers like Bisharp, Mimikyu, and even Mega Scizor on switch-in. (if you switch the order above, put this before sub on set comments)
*Talk about will-o-wisp and Muk-a
*Taunt can be used to prevent things like Chansey, Klefki and Jirachi from setting up hazards or firing off status, as well as preventing things like Mega Charizard X and Gyarados from setting up.

Set Details

*Gardevoirite is needed to grant Gardevoir a higher Special Attack and Speed as well as Pixilate to boost Hyper Voice and give it Fairy-type STAB.

*Mega Gardevoir should be used early on in the game to cripple any opposing walls to assist its teammates, however it is a powerful late-game sweeper if faster threats have been disposed of and defensive checks have been crippled or KOed.
*Mega Gardevoir can almost always fire off a Hyper Voice once its in play as it is boosted by Pixilate, allowing it to dent many threats that don't resist it.
*Thanks to Hyper Voice being spammable, Mega Gardevoir can act as an incredible revenge-killer on opposing threats if not forcing a switch or sack.
*Substitute should be used while predicting switches, allowing Mega Gardevoir to launch attacks under some protection and to prevent it from get statused by Pokemon such as Zapdos, Mew, and Toxapex.
*Mega Gardevoir can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physically attacking threats, such as Tapu Bulu and Bisharp. (scarf bulu OHKO's mega garde, if you're including it as an example you need to specify as on the switch in - also for bisharp you should specify that you'd will-o when predicting a sucker punch because an uneducated player would just think to press focus blast for the KO)
*Mega Gardevoir should be cautious when switching into Pokemon that carry status moves that cripple it like Zapdos, Toxapex, and Porygon2.
*Mega Gardevoir can be switched into weak special attacks, but it must be careful as it doesn't normally run any reliable recovery. (it's a mega...it can't carry an item like leftovers, unless you're talking about wish in which case is not even worth mentioning IMO - I'd rework this whole sentence)
*Mega Gardevoir has a poor Defense stat and therefore it should be cautious of physically attacking threats like Choice Scarf Excadrill, Terrakion, and Scolipede as they can outspeed and OHKO. (are you talking about band terrak here? or iron head/poison jab? scarf terrak can't OHKO m-garde, even iron head is only a 31% chance to KO on scarf sets - either specify or remove as an example)

Team Options
========

*Choice Scarf Victini is a necessity, as it can outpace other Choice Scarf threats that Mega Gardevoir struggles against such as Excadrill, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Bulu. Victini is also appreciated as it checks common threats to Psychic like Volcarona after a Quiver Dance and Mega Scizor with access to STAB V-Create, also having the ability to cripple specially defensive walls that Mega Gardevoir doesn't appreciate such as Jirachi, Chansey, and Alolan Muk.
*Stealth Rock users such as Deoxys-S, Mew, and Jirachi help Mega Gardevoir's role in wallbreaking by providing chip damage every time an opposing Pokemon enters the field.
*Meloetta is a great partner as it is immune to Ghost-type attacks from threats like Gengar, Alolan Marowak, and Mimikyu.
*A hazard remover like Latios, Mew, and Starmie help take entry hazards off the field, preventing Mega Gardevoir from taking unnecessary damage upon entry.
*Slowbro's amazing physically defensive stats help it check common physically attacking threats to Mega Gardevoir such as Mega Lopunny, Terrakion, and Landorus-T, and has access to Thunder Wave which cripples opposing Pokemon and allowing Mega Gardevoir to successfully outspeed and KO them.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

*Moonblast is the main STAB attack, allowing Gardevoir to deal with opposing Dark-, Dragon-, and Fighting-types such as Mega Sableye, and Garchomp, and Keldeo, who which can be troublesome for Psychic teams. (Psychic doesn't care about fighting types, unless you're specifically talking about m-gallade)
*Psychic is the second STAB option on this set, as it hits Poison-types for super effective damage and other Pokemon that resist Moonblast.
*Psyshock can be used over Psychic to hit Pokemon on their Defense stat, which is useful for Pokemon who are much less bulky on their physical side as well as common specially defensive switch-ins, such as Chansey and Zapdos.
*Focus Blast is used to hit Steel-types, such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Skarmory for at least neutral damage, as they generally resist Gardevoir's STAB options.
*Healing Wish can be used to bring a teammate back into the match by providing full HP and healing all status. (give an example of who cares about this - mlatias, mslowbro, etc)
*Trick is used to cripple many common defensive switch-ins to Gardevoir, such as Chansey, Zapdos, and Alolan Muk, forcing them into one move and turning them into a fodder.

Set Details
========

*Choice Scarf along with Maximum Speed and Timid nature allows Gardevoir to outpace Tapu Koko, Greninja, and Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.
*Maximum Special Attack increases Gardevoir's damage output allowing it to hit as hard as possible.
*Trace allows Gardevoir to check weather and terrain sweepers such as Kingdra, Excadrill, and Alolan Raichu. It also allows you to copy abilities such Gyarados's Intimidate, crippling its attack, or Nidoking's Sheer Force, making your attacks with secondary effects even more powerful.

Usage Tips
========

*Gardevoir should be used late game in order to revenge kill opposing threats when they are weakened like Tapu Bulu and Greninja.
*Add in that it should be used to threaten and revenge kill dark type pokemon that otherwise threaten the team (specify a few)
*Trace helps with things like Flash Fire Heatran and Water Absorb Mantine as you can switch into their main STAB and be immune to it. It should also take advantage of Trace against weather and terrain sweepers.
*Gardevoir has terrible physical bulk and defense so be cautious when switching it in on non-resisted attacks.
*Use Trick on walls that tank Gardevoir's attacks as it lacks wallbreaking power like Alolan Muk, Chansey, and Zapdos.
*Avoid switching Gardevoir in on status moves, especially Thunder Wave, as it cripples its revenge killing capability by halving its overall Speed.
*If Gardevoir is weakened and isn't needed for the remainder of the match use Healing Wish to give a teammate another chance in the match.

Team Options
========

*Stealth Rocks users such as Deoxys-S, Mew, and Jirachi help Gardevoir to clean up teams late game, with Stealth Rock dealing chip damage to opposing Pokemon who enter the field.
*Victini is an essential teammate as it checks threats Gardevoir cant deal as much damage to like Volcarona, Mega Scizor, and Celesteela. Victini's Choice Scarf set can help outspeed other Choice Scarf users Gardevoir can't such as Kyurem-B and Excadrill, whereas its Choice Band set can help break things that wall Gardevoir like Chansey and Alolan Muk.
*Mega Gallade can be used to check Normal- and Steel-types like Chansey and Heatran. It also has access to Knock Off, checking opposing Psychic-types such as Jirachi, Mew, and Meloetta and helping to dismantle Normal's Eviolite core.
*Gardevoir is relatively weak to Ghost-types so having an immunity in Meloetta helps to reliably check these threats.
*In order to prevent chip damage given off to Gardevoir every time it switches in, a hazard remover like Mew, Latios, and Starmie is appreciated.
*Add in set up Pokemon that appreciate healing which such as m-latias and m-slowbro

Psychic
--------

*Mega Gardevoir can use Calm Mind to overwhelm opposing walls like Zapdos and Mantine with its amazing power, but that prevents it from using Substitute to evade status and get off free damage.
*Wish and Protect can be used to increase Mega Gardevoir's longevity but that only opens 2 slots for moves which prevents it from excelling in its amazing wallbreaking capabilities. (is this really a set worth mentioning)
*Mega Gardevoir can run Hidden Power Fire to deal more damage to Scizor and Ferrothorn, but this would either replace Focus Blast, making this set walled by Heatran, or either Substitute or Will-O-Wisp, making ti susceptible to status users and common threats to Psychic such as Zapdos and Bisharp.
*Gardevoir has access to many coverage moves like Energy Ball, Thunderbolt, and Shadow Ball to hit Ground-, Water-, Ghost-, and Psychic-types respectively, but this carries similar issues to Hidden Power Fire on Mega Gardevoir to where there are simply better, more reliable options.
*Memento can be used over Healing Wish on Gardevoir to allow opportunities for Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Mew to set up.

Implemented this as well, but one thing kinda threw me off

I never said it can carry an item, all i'm implying is that it should take the least amount of damage as possible since it normally doesn't run recovery (like Wish), i didn't necessarily mean Leftovers, but thanks for the AMCheck :D

Ready for QC#2

I'll check this tonight if I have time but do we really need the Choice Scarf set? It's pretty bad. As reference, it's C rank and we wouldn't allow it without Mega gardevoir to begin with. Any thoughts on removing it? Like, it doesn't even beat Dark or Ghost, which is a pretty big problem for a set that's supposed to do that.

Just glancing at the set order; Why is Will-O-Wisp not the first slash, Substitute is extremely outdated set (Bisharp usage has tanked in SM) same with Taunt they're extremely situational and only work in uncommon situations. I could easily argue they shouldn't be slashed Taunt at the very least shouldn't be slashed, but it can be in moves. Encore is almost unviable to the point where it isn't even OO. I just did this before the check so you don't have an issue in QC 3/3

Nothing personal, I protect my people
Confirming what Eien brought up, remove the Choice Scarf set and all mentions of it.

Overview:
*Gardevoir's ability, Trace allows it to perform well in weather and terrain match-ups, such as with Swift Swim Kingdra, Sand Rush Excadrill, and Surge Surfer Alolan Raichu, making it outpace and either KO or force out opposing threats.
- Remove the mention of Raichu since non-Scarf Gardevoir can't outpace.
*Gardevoir has access to many utility moves such as Encore, and Taunt to help with Status abusers and hazard setters such as Chansey and Heatran.
- We've already discussed this, but Encore is pretty awful. You can just remove it from anywhere past this.
*Mega Gardevoir faces competition for the Mega slot on Psychic due to the types deep pool of options in Alakazam, Gallade, and Slowbro.
- Mention Latias.

*Wish and Protect can be used to increase Mega Gardevoir's longevity but that only opens 2 slots for moves which prevents it from excelling in its amazing wallbreaking capabilities.
*Memento can be used over Healing Wish on Gardevoir to allow opportunities for Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Mew to set up.
- Remove these points. The first is an awful option and the latter refers to the Choice Scarf set.
- There's no reason to run suboptimal coverage options over any moves in the main set. Remove.

QC 2/3

About Mega Garde's last move, I think the best is Will-o-Wisp / Taunt with Encore in Moves and Substitute in OO. I think we're in agreement that WoW is best. Sub is really only ever for Bisharp, as Taunt and Encore stallbreak better. Bisharp, while a big threat, really isn't that prominent in the metagame right now. WoW doesn't fail to check it either especially if you get the 50/50 right.

Taunt is the second best move because of the vast range of uses it has. Unlike Encore, Taunt is great even against non-defensive Pokémon, making it more versatile. Encore performs stallbreaking roles the best, but Mega Garde is already a wallbreaking monster, which is why it's not that fantastic. Encore does also seriously help with checking opposing stallbreakers, able to just ruin Zapdos and Suicune. However, it just doesn't do as much as Taunt most of the time.

What do you guys think?

Nice guys always finish last...
ok this took a while cuz uni was starting up and stuff, but got it written and ready for last QC!

I ended up doing what eien said in his last post, moving sub to OO, encore to sets (not slashed) then Willo/Taunt in sets (with slash), i also completely removed Choice Scarf and put it in OO.

Psychic
========

Gardevoir's Fairy typing (RH) makes it a valuable Pokemon on Psychic teams, (AC) as it can check most Dark- and Dragon-types that threaten Psychic like Mega Sableye, Kyurem-B, and Hydreigon. It can Gardevoirite allows it to Mega Evolve with Gardevoirite and serve as a tremendous wallbreaker, (AC) or it can run and Choice Scarf allows it to serve as a fast revenge killer. (there is no Choice Scarf set though?) Mega Gardevoir's ability in Pixilate makes its STAB Hyper Voice cripple many threats such as Mega Sableye, Mandibuzz, and Dragonite. On the other hand, regular Gardevoir's ability (RC) Trace allows it to perform well in weather and Terrain match-ups, such as with Swift Swim Kingdra and Sand Rush Excadrill, making it outpace and either KO or force out opposing threats. It also has access to many utility moves such as Encore (RC) and Taunt to help with Status status abusers and entry hazard setters such as Chansey and Heatran. However, Mega Gardevoir faces competition for the Mega slot on Psychic due to the types deep pool of options in Alakazam, Latias, Gallade, and Slowbro. Gardevoir and its Mega forme also sit at an average Speed tier, making them susceptible to fast revenge killers, (RH) especially Choice Scarf users like Victini, Heracross, and Excadrill. Unfortunately, Furthermore, it has its terrible physical bulk making makes it weak to many common priority users and physical attackers such as Bisharp, Mega Scizor, and Mega Sharpedo.

Moves

Hyper Voice is Mega Gardevoir's strongest possible STAB move thanks to Pixilate's 1.2x boost, OHKOing most Dark-, (AC) and Dragon-, (AC) type and Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Kyurem-B, and Mega Gallade respectively. Psyshock is the second STAB option, hitting Poison-types that otherwise resists Hyper Voice like Mega Venusaur, Crobat, and Toxapex, as well as other Pokemon that may resist Hyper Voice such as Fire-types. Psyshock also helps against Specially Defensive specially defensive threats like Mantine. Focus Blast hits Steel-types that resists both of Gardevoir's STAB moves like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Magnezone for super effective damage, it also threatens as well as threatening opposing Normal-types like Porygon2. Will-O-Wisp is a great utility move used to cripple physical attackers like Bisharp, Mimikyu, Mega Alolan Muk, (if only) and even Mega Scizor on the switch-in. Taunt can be used to prevent things foes like Chansey, Klefki and Jirachi from setting up entry hazards or firing off inflicting status, as well as preventing things like the likes of Mega Charizard X and Gyarados from setting up. Encore can be used as a great utility move to surprise opponents in locking opposing and lock threats into one move like Sucker Punch Bisharp, Light Screen + Reflect Klefki, and Substitute Suicune (RC) aswell as well as as locks things Pokemon like Chansey and Heatran into status moves and hazards.

Set Details

Gardevoirite is needed to grant Gardevoir a higher Special Attack and Speed as well as Pixilate to boost Hyper Voice and give it Fairy-type STAB. Trace is used prior to Mega Evolving, (AC) as it can copy things abilities like Flash Fire from Heatran, (AC) and Water Absorb from Mantine, (AC) as well as and Speed-boosting (AH) abilities such as Swift Swim and Sand Rush.

Usage Tips
========

Mega Gardevoir should be used early on in the game to cripple any opposing walls to assist its teammates; (SC) however, (AC) it also is a powerful late-game sweeper if faster threats have been disposed of and defensive checks have been crippled or KOed. It can almost always fire off a Pixilate Hyper Voice once its in play as it is boosted by Pixilate, allowing it to dent many threats that don't resist it. Thanks to Hyper Voice's being spammable spammability, Mega Gardevoir can act as an incredible revenge killer (RH) on opposing threats if not forcing a switch or sack. (redundant) Substitute should be used while predicting switches, allowing Mega Gardevoir to launch attacks under some protection and to prevent it from get statused by Pokemon such as Zapdos, Mew, and Toxapex. (substitute isn't on the set) Mega Gardevoir can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physically attacking threats (RC) such as Alolan Muk and Bisharp upon as they switch in. Encore should be used to lock Pokemon like Chansey and Heatran into Stealth Rocks Rock or Toxic, and it can also be used to threaten things like Sucker Punch Bisharp. Taunt prevents things foes like Zapdos and Mantine from firing off Status, status moves and for Heatran and Chansey from setting up entry hazards. Even though Mega Gardevoir's Pixilate lets it to perform better as a wallbreaker, Trace can be used prior to Mega Evolving can be used to counter weather dependent threats like Mega Swampert, Excadrill, and Kingdra. The main drawback to not Mega evolving immediately with Gardevoir is that without Pixilate, Hyper Voice is practically worthless, so be sure to know when it is necessary to Mega Evolve and when too to utilize Trace. Mega Gardevoir should be cautious when switching into Pokemon that carry status moves that cripple it like Zapdos, Toxapex, and Porygon2, (AC) Mega Gardevoir has a poor Defense stat and therefore it should be cautious as well as of faster physically attacking threats like Choice Scarf Excadrill, Terrakion, and Scolipede as they can out speed and threaten Mega Gardevoir; (SC) that being said, (AC) it can be switched into weak special attacks, but it must be careful, (AC) as it doesn't normally run any reliable recovery.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Victini is a necessity, as it can outpace other Choice Scarf threats that Mega Gardevoir struggles against such as Excadrill, Kyurem-B, and Tapu Bulu. Victini is also appreciated as because it checks common threats to Psychic like Volcarona after a Quiver Dance and Mega Scizor with access thanks to STAB V-Create, also having and it also has the ability to cripple specially defensive walls that Mega Gardevoir doesn't appreciate such as Jirachi, Chansey, and Alolan Muk. Stealth Rock users such as Deoxys-S, Mew, and Jirachi help Mega Gardevoir's role in wallbreaking by providing chip damage every time an opposing Pokemon enters the field. Deoxys-S can also set up Dual Screens, dual screens, Jirachi provides an immunity to Poison-type attacks, (AC) and Mew's use of Genesis Supernova can set up Psychic Terrain to boost the damage output of Gardevoir's Psychic-type STAB attacks. Meloetta is a great partner, (AC) as it is immune to Ghost-type attacks from threats like Gengar, Alolan Marowak, and Mimikyu. An entry hazard remover like Latios, Mew, and or Starmie helps take entry hazards off the field, preventing prevent Mega Gardevoir from taking unnecessary damage upon entry. Slowbro's amazing physically defensive stats help it check common physically attacking threats to Mega Gardevoir such as Mega Lopunny, Terrakion, and Landorus-T, and has access to its Thunder Wave which cripples opposing Pokemon and allowing allows Mega Gardevoir to successfully outspeed and KO them. Alakazam can be used to counter take out physically attacking Pokemon like Mega Charizard X after a Dragon Dance and Mega Sharpedo after a Speed boost with Counter.

Mega Gardevoir can use Calm Mind to overwhelm opposing walls like Zapdos and Mantine with its amazing power, but that prevents it from using Substitute to evade status and get off free damage. Mega Gardevoir can also run Hidden Power Fire to deal more damage to Scizor and Ferrothorn, but this would replace either replace Focus Blast, making this set walled by Heatran, or either Taunt or Will-O-Wisp, making it susceptible to status users and common threats to Psychic such as Zapdos and Bisharp. Substitute is used an option to prevent status being taken from users like Porygon2, Zapdos, and Mantine (RC) while offering making Mega Gardevoir a reliable check to Bisharp. Choice Scarf Gardevoir can also be used to fire off faster Moonblasts, but its it's generally outclassed by other Choice Scarf users like Victini and Jirachi.
