Darmanitan-Galar @ Choice Band
Ability: Gorilla Tactics
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz
- Rock Slide / Earthquake

What's better than wearing a Choice Band? Wearing two of them at once, of course! Choice Band on top of Gorilla Tactics lets Galarian Darmanitan obliterate anything that stands in its path, including tier staples like Yveltal, Eternatus, and Groudon. Its nuclear Flare Blitz can even OHKO specially defensive Necrozma-DM after Stealth Rock, which allows a teammate such as Geomancy Xerneas to sweep late-game much more easily. Rock Slide lets it snipe Ho-Oh, while Earthquake is a good midground option to hit both Eternatus and Necrozma-DM super effectively, as well as its strongest move against physically bulky Water-types such as Toxapex and Calm Mind Kyogre. Due to it forgoing a Choice Scarf, Galarian Darmanitan's middling Speed tier can be quite exploitable; Thunder Wave Ho-Oh makes for a great partner that can slow down faster foes like Calyrex-S, Eternatus, and non-Rock Tomb Marshadow. Yveltal can bring Galarian Darmanitan in safely via U-turn and provides Defog to alleviate its Stealth Rock weakness, which especially helps given the latter's own frequent U-turns and heavy chip damage from Flare Blitz.

With the combination of Choice Band and Gorilla Tactics, Galarian Darmanitan becomes an explosive wallbreaker that can obliterate anything that stands in its path. It threatens tier staples like Yveltal, Eternatus, and Groudon, with a nuclear Flare Blitz that can even OHKO specially defensive Necrozma-DM after Stealth Rock(this implies that flare blitz is what you use to OHKO Yvel/Etern/Don. Rephrase.), which allows a teammate such as Geomancy Xerneas to sweep late-game much more easily. Rock Slide lets it snipe Ho-Oh, while Earthquake is a good midground option to hit both Eternatus and Necrozma-DM super effectively without risking any wrong predictions, and is its strongest move against physically bulky Water-types such as Toxapex and Calm Mind Kyogre. Due to forgoing a Choice Scarf, its middling Speed tier can be quite exploitable; Thunder Wave Ho-Oh makes for a great partner that can slow down faster foes like Calyrex-S, Eternatus, and non-Rock Tomb Marshadow. Teammates like Yveltal can bring Galarian Darmanitan in safely via U-turn and provides Defog to aleviate Galarian Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness, especially due to its tendency of using U-turn itself and getting chipped down easily from Flare Blitz's recoil and Rocky Helmet entry hazards.
