Gen 7 Doubles OU: Metagross-Mega with rain

Hello, I’m introduce Metagross-Mega with rain team. Hydreigon help Metagross-Mega in term of type coverage. Metagross’s weakness are fire, ghost, ground and dark. Hydreigon has those resistances. Hydreigon’s weakness are fairy, bug, dragon, ice and fighting. Metagross has those resistances. Also rain helps Metagross-Mega in terms of fire resistance.

Tapu Lele @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 28 Def / 136 SpA / 96 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Skill Swap
- Protect

Bulky Tapu Lele. I set this because I want Tapu Lele to remain on the field for a long time. Skill Swap is useful move. For example, bring back drizzle and reuse intimidate. At the same time bring back own psychic surge.

Metagross-Mega @ Metagrossite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Protect

Needless to say, one of the strongest Mega pokemons. Metagross is strong no matter what you do. lf you think Metagross’s Atk is extra, you may delete Atk and add Hp somewhat. l think Metagross is good at 2 hit KO. lron head and zen headbutt are STAB. Metagross also learns stomping tantrum, ice punch, hammer arm and thunder punch. Please choose moves whatever you want.

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Protect

This pokemon is not used as much as it was before gen6 due to the influence of Tapu, but it is actually still strong. As l mentioned before Metagross and Hydreigon's resistance are superb. This pokemon is counter to lncineroar, Metagross and trick room setter.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 40 HP / 216 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- U-turn
- Superpower

Needless to say, ordinally assault vest Landorus. This pokemon protects own team with dedicated support.

Kingdra @ Waterium Z
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Muddy Water
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Protect

People often use Kingdra or Ludicolo as a rain attacker. If you beat Tapu Fini, you should use Ludicolo. I prefer use kingdra than Ludicolo because it learns Muddy Water. Spread move is useful because we don’t have to worry about wether protect or not especially rain team. And if you use hydro vortex, you can hit single target.

Politoed @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Helping Hand
- Protect

People often use Politoed or Pelipper as a rain setter. I prefer use Politoed than Pelipper because it learns Helping Hand. Also it is bulky. Many people use bulky Politoed. But Politoed is already bulky. Put pressure on your opponent's pokemon.

Please ask me anything if you have any questions
