Overview

  • Deoxys-D is quite bulky with a decent mono-typing, allowing it to be a potent hazards setter.
  • Has access to hazards and other utility, making it a nice support Pokemon.
  • Has abysmal offensive presence, making it easy set-up fodder to Pokemon that do not mind being Thunder Wave'd.

Moves
========
  • Stealth Rock and Spikes are both useful entry hazards that Deoxys-D can set up relatively easy due to its bulk.
  • Thunder Wave allows Deoxys-D to hinder powerful set-up sweepers that cannot remove status, such as Xerneas without Aromatherapy and the newly introduced Mega Salamence that isn't behind a Substitute.
  • Taunt allows Deoxys-D to prevent other Pokemon from setting up entry hazards or just setting up in general.
  • Magic Coat works similarly to Taunt, though taking advantage of the priority of the move to mitigate the only decent Speed of Deoxys-D to set up entry hazards or other utility moves.
  • Knock Off is a nice utility move that can cripple item-dependent Pokemon.
