Moves
========

Steam Eruption is Volcanion's best Water-type STAB move, coming with high Base Power, reliable accuracy, a good chance to burn Volcanion's target, and most notably the ability to OHKO slower Ground-type Pokemon such as Nidoqueen, Rhyperior, and Mega Steelix after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast due to its higher accuracy and PP while still retaining the ability to 2HKO Mega Aggron and OHKO Doublade. Sludge Bomb is Volcanion's best option against Fairy-types, notably 2HKOing Mega Altaria and defensive Primarina, which resist Volcanion's STAB moves. It is preferable to Sludge Wave due to the higher poison chance, which helps to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Latias, and Mantine for attempting to switch into Volcanion.

Set Details
========

216 Speed EVs allow Volcanion to outspeed maximum Speed Adamant Scizor and OHKO it with Flamethrower before it can hit Volcanion with a +2 Knock Off or Superpower. Maximum Special Attack investment with a Modest nature lets Volcanion hit as hard as possible, allowing it to 2HKO defensive Primarina after Stealth Rock with Sludge Bomb and OHKO Celebi after Stealth Rock with Flamethrower. The remaining EVs are put into HP for additional bulk. Shuca Berry allows Volcanion to lure in faster Ground-types such as Mamoswine, Nidoking, and Krookodile that may attempt to revenge kill it and OHKO them with Steam Eruption. Leftovers is an alternative option that offers Volcanion a form of passive recovery, allowing it to switch into Pokemon such as Scizor and Primarina more reliably. Water Absorb offers Volcanion a way to recover its health, albeit unreliably, when switching in against targets such as Suicune and Primarina. Volcanion may opt to run 188 Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outspeed offensive Mega Altaria and Adamant Bisharp or 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outspeed Adamant Mamoswine, although the loss of power is noticeable, preventing Volcanion from OHKOing Amoonguss after Stealth Rock damage, for example.

Usage Tips
========

Due to Volcanion's weakness to Stealth Rock, it should take advantage of its good matchup versus slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon, Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen and proactively attempt to prevent them from setting Stealth Rock. Due to its respectable bulk and Shuca Berry, it can risk switching in on the former two and forcing them out with the threat of Steam Eruption if it has high enough HP and keeping Stealth Rock off the field is a priority, although it must watch out for Toxic when doing this. Volcanion can also make use of the switches it forces against Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor to clear entry hazards when facing Stealth Rock setters such as Terrakion, Mew, and Blissey that it cannot beat. If Volcanion is running a Shuca Berry, it can also attempt to lure and take out faster Ground-types such as Krookodile and Mamoswine. Shuca Berry can also be used to allow Volcanion to stay in against Swampert, which is otherwise risky to stay in against due to the high chance that Steam Eruption won't burn it, especially Choice Band sets, which can OHKO Volcanion from full. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Volcanion should be kept healthy when possible in order to check Pokemon such as Primarina, non-Earthquake Mega Aggron, non-Earthquake Mega Altaria, and Scizor more reliably, especially if the opposing Stealth Rock setter has not yet fainted so it can continue to remove entry hazards. It should also watch out for coverage from these Pokemon, such as Psychic from Choice Specs Primarina and Superpower from Choice Band Scizor, as it leaves Volcanion susceptible to being 2HKOed the next time it comes in, and Primarina can survive one Sludge Bomb to 2HKO Volcanion with Psychic. If you predict a Pokemon such as Calm Mind Latias, Slowbro, or Suicune to switch in and Volcanion does not need to use Defog, it is recommended to either use Sludge Bomb to attempt to poison the opposing Pokemon or double switch to prevent Volcanion being used as setup fodder. Similarly, Volcanion should prioritize double switching when expecting Blissey to switch in to prevent offering it free turns to heal up, pass Wish, or set Stealth Rock. Volcanion should be careful about attempting to switch in against Scald users such as Empoleon, Tentacruel, and Starmie in order to attempt to regain HP due to the threat of either having its item removed by Knock Off or being hit by Toxic, the latter of which severely limits its longevity. However, if Volcanion has already used its Shuca Berry or has a teammate with Heal Bell, it can more freely attempt this and wear these Pokemon down for its teammates.

Team Options
========

Defog Volcanion fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams that appreciate a strong offensive entry hazard remover that checks Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor. Krookodile, Rhyperior, and Hippowdon are excellent Stealth Rock setters to pair with Volcanion, being able to check Pokemon such as Mega Manectric, Rotom-H, and Mega Aerodactyl for it. Krookodile can also shut down common entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Mega Steelix with Taunt, taking pressure off of Volcanion to use Defog, while Rhyperior provides a check to Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres, and Hippowdon can provide a switch-in to other threats to Volcanion such as Choice Scarf Krookodile while more consistently checking the above Pokemon due to having reliable recovery. In return, Volcanion offers a switch-in to Primarina, which can OHKO all of them. Steel-types such as Mega Steelix, Mega Aggron, and Doublade are great partners, as they can check threats such as Nihilego and Mega Aerodactyl, which can OHKO Volcanion after Stealth Rock damage, as well as Latias and non-Fire Blast Mega Altaria, which can freely set up on Volcanion, provided Mega Altaria has not yet Mega Evolved. Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron can also set up Stealth Rock, while Doublade can check Terrakion. In return, Volcanion can provide a switch-in to Scald users such as Empoleon, Tentacruel, and Primarina while offering a secondary Scizor check. Pursuit trappers such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, Mega Aerodactyl, and Choice Band Scizor can help alleviate some of the problems Latias causes for Volcanion. Krookodile in particular also offers a valuable Electric immunity, which helps to deal with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Rotom-H, while Mega Aerodactyl can help check Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres. Volcanion appreciates them checking threatening Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Terrakion and provides a switch-in to Primarina and Scizor in return.

Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Florges, and Togekiss are able to check Hydreigon, one of Volcanion's best checks. They can also provide Heal Bell support in order to remove status such as poison and paralysis inflicted by Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon, allowing Volcanion to remove entry hazards from these setters more readily. Sylveon and Florges can also provide Wish support, alleviating Volcanion's lack of recovery and letting it check Primarina and Scizor more consistently. In return, these Fairy-types greatly appreciate Volcanion removing Steel-types such as Scizor and Doublade, which helps Togekiss in particular to sweep more easily. Mega Altaria can check and set up on Electric-types such as Zeraora and Rotom-H and deal with Calm Mind Suicune, which can set up on Volcanion. It can also help to threaten Pokemon such as Pyukumuku and Blissey, and in return, it appreciates Volcanion's ability to OHKO Scizor and Amoonguss, which can otherwise consistently check Mega Altaria and limit its sweeping potential. Hydreigon and Latias make for good partners for Volcanion, as they can check Ground-types such as Swampert, Nidoking, and, in Hydreigon's case, Krookodile for Volcanion, which can potentially allow Volcanion to forgo running Shuca Berry in favor of Leftovers for extra recovery. Furthermore, Hydreigon can run Taunt to prevent Pokemon such as Swampert, Blissey, and Krookodile from setting entry hazards, which takes pressure off Volcanion, and to help break bulkier teams featuring Pokemon such as Mantine and Pyukumuku. Hydreigon and Latias can also help to deal with Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Suicune, which can both use Volcanion as setup fodder, and in return, they appreciate Volcanion weakening Fairy- and Steel-types such as Primarina and Mega Steelix. Pivots such as Mienshao and Scizor make for helpful partners to Volcanion. Assault Vest Mienshao in particular can switch into Hydreigon and bring Volcanion into favorable positions against common switch-ins such as Hippowdon, Primarina, Scizor, and Amoonguss. Mega Manectric also pairs well with Volcanion, appreciating it breaking bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon that would otherwise prevent Mega Manectric from pivoting with Volt Switch, and in return, it can pressure bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Mega Slowbro that wall Volcanion while taking some pressure off Volcanion to check Scizor.

Moves
========

  • Steam Eruption is Volcanion's best Water-type STAB moves, with a high base power, reliably accuracy and a good chance to burn Volcanion's target, allowing it to in particular OHKO slower Ground-type Pokemon such as Nidoqueen, Rhyperior, and Mega Steelix after Stealth Rock.
  • Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast due to its accuracy and higher PP, while still retaining the ability to 2HKO Mega Aggron, and OHKO Doublade after Stealth Rock.
  • Sludge Bomb is Volcanion's best option against Fairy-types, in particular 2HKOing Mega Altaria from full HP, and 2HKOing maximum HP Primarina after Stealth Rock, which would otherwise resist Volcanion's STAB moves. It is preferable to Sludge Wave due to the higher Poison chance, which helps to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Latias for attempting to swap in on Volcanion.

Set Details
========

  • 216 Speed EVs allow Volcanion to outspeed maximum speed Adamant Scizor, and OHKO it with Flamethrower before it can potentially hit Volcanion with a +2 Knock Off or Superpower.
  • Maximum HP investment allows Volcanion to better answer Pokemon such as Scizor and Primarina, while making it able to more reliably use Defog to clear entry hazards. This obvs needs to change
  • The remaining 44 EVs are put into Special Attack with a Modest nature to allow Volcanion to hit as hard as possible, allowing it to 2HKO max HP Mega Altaria from full, and giving it a high chance to 2HKO bulky Primarina after Stealth Rock damage. Likewise
  • Leftovers offer Volcanion a form of passive recovery, allowing it to serve as a swap in to Pokemon such as Scizor and Primarina more reliably. Shuca Berry is an alternative option that allows it to lure in faster Ground-types such as Mamoswine, Nidoking, and Krookodile that may attempt to revenge kill it and OHKO them with Steam Eruption, at the cost of the recovery offered by Leftovers. Swap them around to match what I said
  • Water Absorb is Volcanion's only ability, allowing it an albeit unreliable secondary form of recovery when switching in against targets such as Suicune and Primarina.
  • Mention that 188 Spe can be run with a Timid nature to creep Malt and Bisharp or it can run this Volcanion can opt to run 244 Speed EVs At this point you may as well run 252, so just say max Spe with a Timid Nature in order to outspeed Adamant Mamoswine, however the damage loss is notable, preventing Volcanion from 2HKOing bulky Primarina after Stealth Rock damage This calc isn't valid anymore with max SpA. Volcanion may run maximum Special Attack investment to make up for this, however the drop in bulk makes it harder for Volcanion to switch into Pokemon such as Primarina and Doublade. Last sentence isn't needed now ofc

Usage Tips
========

  • Due to Volcanion's weakness to Stealth Rock, it should take advantage of its good matchup vs slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon, Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen and attempt to proactively prevent them from setting them. Due to its respectable bulk however, it can risk swapping in on the former two if it has high HP and keeping Stealth Rock off the field is a priority. Bring up shuca letting it do this, cos otherwise this implies it can switch into Steelix, which will OHKO you. Even with max hp you drop after rocks. Volcanion can also make use of the switches it forces against Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor to clear entry hazards when facing Stealth Rock setters such as Terrakion or Blissey that it can't beat.
  • If Volcanion is running a Shuca Berry, it can also attempt to lure faster Ground-types such as Krookodile and Mamoswine, and can more freely swap in against slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon to attempt to prevent or remove entry hazards. Shuca Berry can also be used to allow Volcanion to stay in against Swampert, which is otherwise risky to stay in against due to the high chance that Steam Eruption won't burn, especially against Choice Band Swampert which can KO Volcanion from full.
  • Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Volcanion should be kept healthy where possible in order to more reliably check Pokemon such as Primarina, non-Earthquake Mega Aggron Mention Mega Altaria in this list, and Scizor, especially if the opposing Stealth Rock user has not yet fainted. It should also watch out for coverage from these Pokemon, such as Psychic from Choice Specs Primarina, and Superpower from Choice Band Scizor.
  • If predicting a Pokemon such as Calm Mind Latias, Slowbro or Suicune to switch in, if Volcanion does not need to Defog, it is recommended to either use Sludge Bomb to attempt to Poison the opposing Pokemon and gain some leftovers recovery, or double switch, to prevent Volcanion being used as set up fodder. Similarly, Volcanion should prioritise double switching when expecting special walls such as Blissey or Pyukumuku to switch in, to prevent offering them free turns to heal up.
  • Volcanion should be careful about attempting to switch in to scald users such as Empoleon or Tentacruel in order to attempt to regain HP, due to the threat of either having its Leftovers or Shuca Berry Knocked Off, or being hit by Toxic, which severely limits its longevity. However if Volcanion has already used its Shuca Berry however, or has a teammate with Heal Bell, it can more freely attempt this, and attempt to wear them down for its teammates.

I discussed this with you, but I'm gonna reiterate the point that is excessively long. I have no issues with the Pokemon suggested at hand and the info is good, but this needs condensing. It's fine to write like this but read back over it and see where things can be brought up together than dedicating a bullet point to like 8 different Pokemon.
  • Defog Volcanion fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams that appreciate a strong offensive entry hazard remover that helps to check Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor.
  • I'd prefer if other entry hazard user were listed here than only Hippo with my other suggestion. Pokemon like Rocks Coba or Krook for instance, the latter being able to Taunt common hazard setters taking pressure off volc. It being worth noting it can also check aero and rotom-H like Hippo. Incorporate them and cut down the wording where applicable.
  • Hippowdon is an excellent option for a Stealth Rock setter to pair with Volcanion, being able to consistently check Mega Manectric throughout a match, while also providing a decent swap in to Choice Scarf Krookodile, Mega Aerodactyl, and Rotom-H, which would otherwise force Volcanion out with supereffective STAB moves. In return, Volcanion helps to check Primarina for Hippowdon, and can help Hippowdon variants lacking Whirlwind deal with Swords Dance Scizor.
  • I see you have started by 'merging' these two, but there is still so much here for two Mons than can fulfill the same role essentially. Just make this whole point about Steel-types and move Doublade up here for reasons I mentioned in that point.
  • Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron are also Stealth Rock setters that pair well with Volcanion, helping to check Latias, which resists both of Volcanion's STAB moves, and doesn't take much damage from Sluddge Bomb due to its good special bulk, and can use Volcanion as set up fodder with Calm Mind. They also help to check Nihilego, and non-Fire Blast variants of Mega Altaria, which can use Volcanion as setup fodder if it hasn't yet Mega Evolved. In return, Volcanion can help to check Primarina and Superpower variants of Scizor Idk why you are stating Superpower like it can pivot into that safely itself for both Pokemon, with Mega Steelix having a better Latias matchup, and Mega Aggron having a better matchup versus Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Altaria. Remove the Lati part cos you already bring this up at the start, same for Malt. Just bring up Aero in that same section above. Mega Aggron however can also run a Rest Talk set to more consistently check these Pokemon for Volcanion, while also serving as a late game win condition with Curse, which greatly appreciates Volcanion removing Pokemon such as Nidoqueen and Whirlwind Hippowdon. I am removing this cos Doublade is moving up here and you can elaborate on its role more, please try and keep that short.
  • Pursuit trappers such as Choice Scarf Krookodile and Mega Aerodactyl Mention Choice Band Scizor can help alleviate some of the problems Latias causes for Volcanion, while offering speed control to Volcanion's team. Krookodile in particular also offers a valuable Electric-immunity, helping to deal with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Rotom-H, and potentially Pursuit trap them, while Mega Aerodactyl provides a useful Flying-resist, helping to deal with Moltres, which can outspeed and OHKO Volcanion with Z-Hurricane after Stealth Rock damage, and Togekiss, which can survive two hits of Sludge Bomb from full after leftovers recovery provided it does not get Poisoned, and either attempt to set up on Volcanion with Nasty Plot or flinch it with Air Slash to remove it. Bro...this is so long-winded, read over how long this sentence is and condense it. In return, Krookodile greatly appreciates a check to Primarina, which can punish it for locking into a Dark-type move, while Mega Aerodactyl appreciates a switch in to Bullet Punch from Scizor. They all appreciate it being able to answer Primarina so why specify Krook
  • Doublade can help Volcanion with Rock-type Pokemon such as Terrakion, Nihilego and Mega Aerodactyl, while also providing a strong answer to non-Fire Blast Mega Altaria and helping to check Latias and Togekiss. Volcanion also appreciates it providing a secondary Scizor check, especially in matchups where it struggles to consistently remove Stealth Rock, due to setters such as Terrakion. Everything here basically applies to Mega Aggron and Steelix so move this up there. You can then go into further reasoning as to why Doublade is a good partner by mentioning it can check Terrak etc. Doublade can also potentially run Toxic to cripple their shared checks such as Hydreigon and Suicune. In return, Volcanion can help Doublade with Primarina, while providing a potential Scald switch in against users such as Tentacruel and Empoleon, allowing Volcanion to potentially regain HP, and can help break through bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Gligar that Doublade struggles with. This stuff also applies to the same Steel-types about checking Prima and other Water-types like these so just merge.
  • Sylveon Mention Togekiss and Florges, make this point about Fairy-types. Generalize they can all pivot into Hydra, then ofc say Sylv and Florges give Wish support. Then that all 3 can give heal bell support. can provide a swap in to Hydreigon for Volcanion, which resists both of Volcanion's STAB moves and can use Roost to recover any damage taken from Sludge Bomb. Sylveon can also provide Wish support, helping to alleviate Volcanion's lack of recovery, allowing it to remove entry hazards and check Primarina more consistently throughout the match, Use a full stop here. And your sentence previously implied that Wish helps Volcanion clear its status. So specify Heal Bell. and help clear Volcanion of status like Toxic or Thunder Wave from entry hazard setters such as Toxic Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon, and Thunder Wave Klefki. In return, Sylveon greatly appreciates Volcanion helping with threatening Steel-type Pokemon such as Scizor and Doublade. Mention this also letting Togekiss better sweep.
  • Hydreigon provides a crucial Ground-immunity, allowing it to switch into Pokemon such as Swampert and Krookodile that threaten Volcanion, although it must watch out for Choice Band Ice Punch from Swampert, while access to Taunt allows it to proactively prevent these Pokemon from setting up entry hazards, and lets Hydreigon help break bulkier balance and stall teams. Hydreigon can also help deal with Calm Mind Slowbro and Mega Slowbro just say MegaBro only, and if running Taunt, Calm Mind Suicune, that would otherwise use Volcanion as set up fodder. In return, Hydreigon greatly appreciates Volcanion's help dealing with Primarina, which otherwise walls it. Mention Latias with this point, it literally does all this but beats these Mons with CM instead. It being grateful that Volc can lure krook with shuca and break Steel-types. Try and reword some of this to make this work where needed.
  • Mega Altaria can help check Electric-types such as Zeraora and Rotom-H that threaten Volcanion, while using them as a potential set up opportunity. It can also help to deal with Hydreigon and Calm Mind Suicune, which otherwise wall Volcanion, and can help to break stall teams. In return, Mega Altaria appreciates Volcanion dealing with Steel-types, especially Scizor that would otherwise force it out, and appreciates it weakening Whirlwind Hippowdon I'd just say Amoonguss instead as a more consistent example that checks Malt which would otherwise be able to consistently phaze it, allowing it to more reliably sweep opposing teams. Move this below the Fairy-types, try and link them. Only bring up the stuff that separates it from the other fairies i.e. don't repeat the Hydreigon part etc.
  • Pivots such as Mienshao and Scizor make for helpful partners to Volcanion, helping to bring it in on physical walls such as Hippowdon and Gligar. I want Mega Manectric listed here, it appreciates Volc breaking these bulky Grounds and pressures Suicune, MegaBro etc. Assault Vest Mienshao in particular can switch into Hydreigon, and can bring Volcanion in on Hippowdon, to prevent it setting up Stealth Rock, and other strong Assault Vest Mienshao answers such as Primarina and Amoonguss that Volcanion can beat.

Where I have slashed stuff please remove. This is a lot primarily because of the team options so I want you to tag me when you've implemented this and I'll check over it again. Like I said it is good information you wrote, but it's important to only bring up the important ones and identifying where you can make a connection with this to another Pokemon. I.e. 3 separate massive bullet points that reiterate 3 diff Steel-types can check essentially the same Pokemon and appreciate Volc beating the same stuff. Otherwise good work, as I said tag me when you are done. If anything needs further explaining you can find me on discord

Team Options
========

  • Defog Volcanion fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams that appreciate a strong offensive entry hazard remover that helps to check Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor.
  • Hippowdon, Rhyperior, and Krookodile Swap these around to match the order you talk about them cos this is you listing their diff benefits are excellent options for Stealth Rock setters to pair with Volcanion, being able to check Pokemon such as Mega Manectric, Rotom-H and Mega Aerodactyl for Volcanion. Krookodile can also Taunt common entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Mega Steelix, helping to take pressure off of Volcanion, while Rhyperior can provide a useful Flying-resist, helping to take on Pokemon such as Togekiss and Moltres, and Hippowdon can more consistently check these Pokemon throughout the match due to recovery via Slack Off You don't really need this line, provide a switch in to other threats to Volcanion like Choice Scarf Krookodile, and help to phaze Mega Altaria with Whirlwind, which can otherwise set up on Volcanion if it has not yet Mega Evolved, at the cost of being able to Toxic Pokemon such as Rotom-H. This last line isn't necessary especially with the next point being about Steel-types. Where I've crossed out remove because this is way too long of a sentence. In return, Volcanion can help to check Primarina for them, and help deal with Scizor, which can force Krookodile out, and set up on Hippowdon variants lacking Whirlwind.
  • Steel-types such as Mega Steelix, Mega Aggron and Doublade also pair well with Volcanion, helping to check Latias, which resists both of Volcanion's STAB moves and can use Volcanion as set up fodder with Calm Mind. They also help to check Nihilego, Mega Aerodactyl, and non-Fire Blast variants of Mega Altaria, which can use Volcanion as setup fodder if it hasn't yet Mega Evolved This doesn't make sense because only Malt sets up, Nihilego doesn't. Just say they threaten to OHKO after SR while the latter can potentially set up on it. Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron can also provide Stealth Rock for Volcanion's team, while Doublade can help provide a strong Terrakion answer. I assume you are missing a full stop here? In return, Volcanion can help to check Primarina and provide a secondary answer to Scizor, while also serving as a switch in to Scald users such as Empoleon and Tentacruel.
  • Pursuit trappers such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Band Scizor can help alleviate some of the problems Latias causes for Volcanion. Krookodile in particular also offers a valuable Electric-immunity, helping to deal with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Rotom-H, and potentially Pursuit trap them, while Mega Aerodactyl provides a useful Flying-resist, helping to deal with Moltres and Togekiss. Volcanion appreciates all three also helping to check Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Terrakion that threaten Volcanion with their Rock-type STAB moves, and in return provides a swap in to Primarina and Scizor for them.
  • Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Florges, and Togekiss can provide switch ins to Hydreigon, which resists both of Volcanion's STAB moves and can use Roost to recover any damage taken, Just put a full stop here and make the Heal Bell stuff a separate sentence. while all providing Heal Bell support, helping to clear Volcanion of status like Toxic or Thunder Wave from Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon which cripples its ability to effectively remove entry hazards. Sylveon and Florges can also provide Wish support, helping to alleviate Volcanion's lack of recovery, allowing it to remove entry hazards and check Primarina and Scizor more consistently throughout the match. In return, these Fairy-types greatly appreciate Volcanion helping to deal with threatening Steel-types such as Scizor and Doublade, which can in particular help Togekiss sweep more easily.
  • Mega Altaria is another Fairy-type that pairs well with Volcanion, helping to check Electric-types such as Zeraora and Rotom-H that would otherwise threaten Volcanion, while using them as a potential set up opportunity. It can also help to deal with Calm Mind Suicune, which otherwise walls Volcanion, and can help to break stall teams Instead of break stall just say it threatens Blissey and Pyuku these being the two examples you brought up wall Volcanion in usage tips. Mega Altaria greatly appreciates Volcanion being able to KO Scizor and Amoonguss for it, which would otherwise be able to consistently check it and limit its sweeping potential.
  • Say 'Hydra and Latias make good partners because they can check Ground-types like Swampert and Nidoking while Hydreigon also checks Krookodile if Volcanion can't afford to take unnecessary damage.', and Hydreigon provides a crucial Ground-immunity, allowing it to switch into Pokemon such as Swampert and Krookodile that threaten Volcanion, although it must watch out for Choice Band Ice Punch from Swampert, CB pert mention isn't necessary. while access to Taunt allows it to proactively prevent these Pokemon from setting up entry hazards, and lets Hydreigon help break bulkier balance and stall teams. Make this a new sentence and specify why stopping hazards going up and why pressuring bulky teams is good. Rn it sounds like you are writing it for a Hydra analysis than why Volc benefits from this, keep it short. Hydreigon can also help deal with Calm Mind Mega Slowbro, and if running Taunt, Calm Mind Suicune, that would otherwise use Volcanion as set up fodder. In return, Hydreigon greatly appreciates Volcanion's help dealing with Primarina, which otherwise walls it. Make these sentences about both Latias and Hydra as Latias also beats bro and Cune, both also appreciate Steel- and Fairy-types being weakened so make the last sentence about that.
  • Pivots such as Mienshao and Scizor make for helpful partners to Volcanion, helping to bring it in on physical walls such as Hippowdon and Gligar. Assault Vest Mienshao in particular can switch into Hydreigon, and can bring Volcanion in on Hippowdon, to prevent it setting up Stealth Rock, and other strong Assault Vest Mienshao answers such as Primarina and Amoonguss that Volcanion can beat you can compress this by saying it just brings it into favorable positions against all three of these. Mega Manectric also pairs well with Volcanion, appreciating it breaking bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon that would otherwise prevent it from pivoting with Volt Switch, and can in return pressure bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Mega Slowbro that wall Volcanion.

Usage Tips
* Bring up that Volcanion should be wary of Toxic still when coming in on Hippowdon and Steelix.

Team Options
* In sections regarding Pokemon that can patch up Volcanion's shaky Ground-type matchup (the Hydreigon/Latias portion particularly), be sure to mention that it can more easily forego running Shuca Berry for Leftovers with them as teammates.

This is honestly excellent. Great work! 2/3 when you get these changes implemented.

Moves
========

Steam Eruption is Volcanion's best Water-type STAB move, with a high base power, reliably accuracy, and a good chance to burn Volcanion's target, allowing it to in particular OHKO slower Ground-type Pokemon such as Nidoqueen, Rhyperior, and Mega Steelix after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast due to its accuracy and higher PP, while still retaining the ability to 2HKO Mega Aggron, and OHKO Doublade. Sludge Bomb is Volcanion's best option against Fairy-types, in particular 2HKOing Mega Altaria and defensive Primarina which would otherwise both resist Volcanion's STAB moves. It is preferable to Sludge Wave due to the higher Poison chance, which helps to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Latias, and Mantine for attempting to switch into Volcanion.

Set Details
========

216 Speed EVs allow Volcanion to outspeed maximum Speed Adamant Scizor and OHKO it with Flamethrower before it can potentially hit Volcanion with a +2 Knock Off or Superpower. Maximum Special Attack investment with a Modest nature allows Volcanion to hit as hard as possible, allowing it to 2HKO defensive Primarina after Stealth Rock with Sludge Bomb and OHKO Celebi after Stealth Rock with Flamethrower. Water Absorb is Volcanion's only ability, allowing it an albeit unreliable secondary form of recovery when switching in against targets such as Suicune and Primarina. (Suicune uses you as set-up bait, I'd probably mention something else here.) Volcanion may opt to run 188 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature to outspeed Mega Altaria and Adamant Bisharp (Maybe specify offensive Mega Altaria specifically? You already outspeed Mixed and Defensive.), or 252 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature to outspeed Adamant Mamoswine, although the loss of power is noticeable, preventing Volcanion from OHKOing Amoongus after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Due to Volcanion's weakness to Stealth Rock, it should take advantage of its good matchup versus slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon, Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen and attempt to proactively prevent them from setting Stealth Rock. Due to its respectable bulk however, it can risk switching in on the former two thanks to Shuca Berry if it has high HP and keeping Stealth Rock off the field is a priority, although it must watch out for Toxic when doing this. Volcanion can also make use of the switches it forces against Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor to clear entry hazards when facing Stealth Rock setters such as Terrakion, Mew, and Blissey that it cannot beat. (Mew should probably be mentioned here, Volcanion doesn't like being chipped by Seismic Toss and Knock Off just screws over Leftovers variants.) If Volcanion is running a Shuca Berry, it can also attempt to lure faster Ground-types such as Krookodile and Mamoswine, and can more freely swap in against slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon to attempt to prevent or remove entry hazards. Shuca Berry can also be used to allow Volcanion to stay in against Swampert, which is otherwise risky to stay in against due to the high chance that Steam Eruption won't burn, especially against Choice Band Swampert which can OHKO Volcanion from full. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Volcanion should be kept healthy where possible in order to more reliably check Pokemon such as Primarina, non-Earthquake Mega Aggron, Mega Altaria (Specifically mention non-Earthquake Mega Altaria as well.), and Scizor, especially if the opposing Stealth Rock setter has not yet fainted. It should also watch out for coverage from these Pokemon, such as Psychic from Choice Specs Primarina, and Superpower from Choice Band Scizor because it leaves Volcanion susceptible to being 2HKOed the next time it comes in, and Primarina can survive one Sludge Bomb to 2HKO with Psychic. If predicting a Pokemon such as Calm Mind Latias, Slowbro or Suicune to switch in, if Volcanion does not need to use Defog, it is recommended to either use Sludge Bomb to attempt to Poison the opposing Pokemon, or double switch, to prevent Volcanion being used as set up fodder. Similarly, Volcanion should prioritise double switching when expecting special walls such as Blissey or Pyukumuku to switch in, to prevent offering them free turns to heal up. (Non-Rest Pyukumuku hates being Poisoned, either remove the example and use another or specify this.) Volcanion should be careful about attempting to switch in against Scald users such as Empoleon or Tentacruel in order to attempt to regain HP, due to the threat of either having its Shuca Berry or Leftovers Knocked Off, or being hit by Toxic which severely limits its longevity. However if Volcanion has already used its Shuca Berry or has a teammate with Heal Bell, it can more freely attempt this, allowing it to wear them down for its teammates. (I would also mention Starmie, potentially over Tentacruel since Volcanion doesn't like being poisoned by Sludge Bomb/Sludge Wave.)

Team Options
========

Defog Volcanion fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams that appreciate a strong offensive entry hazard remover that helps to check Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor. Krookodile, Rhyperior, and Hippowdon are excellent options for Stealth Rock setters to pair with Volcanion, being able to check Pokemon such as Mega Manectric, Rotom-H and Mega Aerodactyl for Volcanion. Krookodile can also Taunt common entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Mega Steelix, helping to take pressure off of Volcanion, while Rhyperior provides a check to Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres (Obviously Togekiss flinches you to death, but shouldn't Mega Aerodactyl be mentioned somewhere here? It threatens you out with Stone Edge and can potentially play Pursuit mindgames to chip Volcanion. It's also one of the rockers that Volcanion can't inherently remove on.), and Hippowdon can provide a switch in to other threats to Volcanion such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, while more consistently checking the above Pokemon due to reliable recovery in Slack Off. In return, Volcanion offers a switch in to Primarina, which can OHKO all of them. Steel-types such as Mega Steelix, Mega Aggron, and Doublade (Please mention Scizor as an example. I know you mention it in the next section but it deserves to be in this section too. It pretty much provides all the advantages you mentioned, punishes non-HP Fire Latias with Pursuit for Volcanion, and basically U-Turns on all of Volcanion's common switch ins.) are great partners as they can check threats such as Nihilego and Mega Aerodactyl which can OHKO Volcanion after Stealth Rock, and Latias and non-Fire Blast Mega Altaria that can freely set up on Volcanion, provided Mega Altaria has not Mega evolved. Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron can also set up Stealth Rock, while Doublade can check Terrakion. In return Volcanion can provide a switch in to Scald users such as Empoleon, Tentacruel, and Primarina, while offering a secondary Scizor check. Pursuit trappers such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Band Scizor can help alleviate some of the problems Latias causes for Volcanion. Krookodile in particular also offers a valuable Electric-immunity, helping to deal with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Rotom-H, while Mega Aerodactyl can help check Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres. Volcanion appreciates them helping to check threatening Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Terrakion and in return provides a swap in to Primarina and Scizor. Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Florges, and Togekiss are able to check Hydreigon, one of Volcanion's best checks. (Though the ever-omnipresent Scarf Hydreigon does hate being Poisoned, this example is probably still okay.) They can also all provide Heal Bell support, in order to remove Status such as Toxic or Thunder Wave inflicted by Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon, which cripples Volcanion's ability to effectively remove entry hazards. Sylveon and Florges can also provide Wish support, alleviating Volcanion's lack of recovery and letting it check Primarina and Scizor more consistently. In return, these Fairy-types greatly appreciate Volcanion removing Steel-types such as Scizor and Doublade, which in particular helps Togekiss sweep more easily. Mega Altaria can check and set up on Electric-types such as Zeraora and Rotom-H, and deal with Calm Mind Suicune which can set up on Volcanion. It can also help to threaten Pokemon such as Pyukumuku and Blissey, and in return appreciates Volcanion being able to OHKO Scizor and Amoonguss, which can otherwise consistently check Mega Altaria and limit its sweeping potential. Hydreigon and Latias make good partners for Volcanion as they can check Ground-types such as Swampert and Nidoking, while Hydreigon can also check Krookodile for Volcanion, which can allow Volcanion to more easily forgo running Shuca Berry in favor of Leftovers for extra recovery. Furthermore, Hydreigon can run Taunt to prevent Pokemon such as Swampert, Blissey, and Krookodile from setting entry hazards, which is useful as it takes pressure off of Volcanion, and to help break bulkier teams featuring Pokemon such as Mantine and Pyukumuku. Hydreigon and Latias can also help to deal with Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Suicune, that would otherwise both use Volcanion as set up fodder, and in return appreciate Volcanion weakening Fairy- and Steel-types such as Primarina and Mega Steelix. Pivots such as Mienshao and Scizor make for helpful partners to Volcanion. Assault Vest Mienshao in particular can switch into Hydreigon, and can bring Volcanion in in favourable positions against common switch ins such as Hippowdon, Primarina and Amoonguss that Volcanion can beat. (Volcanion also checks Scizor, which can threaten Mienshao out with Bullet Punch.) Mega Manectric also pairs well with Volcanion, appreciating it breaking bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon that would otherwise prevent Mega Manectric from pivoting with Volt Switch, and can in return pressure bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Mega Slowbro that wall Volcanion, while taking some pressure off of Volcanion in checking Scizor.

implemented, discussed with Martha over discord on the Suicune and Scizor points, which Martha has greenlighted to stay as they were beforehand, as Volcanion can attempt to use Suicune for healing via water absorb depending on team structure in certain situations, eg. potentially offering a Suicune a calm mind isnt dangerous because you have a CM psyshock latias, and you expect Suicune to most likely scald on that turn, or you have a core of clear smog amoonguss + defog volc which can effectively pp stall suicune. Scizor doesn't really fit in the bulky steel section too well due to more offensive scizor sets pairing better usually with volc and would cause a lot of overlap between sections, with any mention of pursuit being irrelevant in the bulky steel section as pursuit LO roost sciz is super niche, and CB sciz fitting in the next paragraph much better.

AMGP check, implement what you want.

I think the Usage Tips / Team Options were a little too detailed, personally, so you may want to cut down on those if possible. It's not necessary to list out every single possible synergy a teammate can have with Volcanion, nor do you need to exhaust every possible synergy Volcanion has with them. For example, instead of writing all of this for 2 Pokemon
Hydreigon and Latias can also help to deal with Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Suicune, that would otherwise both use Volcanion as set up fodder, and in return appreciate Volcanion weakening Fairy- and Steel-types such as Primarina and Mega Steelix.
you could condense it to something like
Hydreigon and Latias make for good partners for Volcanion, as they can check Ground-types like Swampert, Nidoking, and Krookodile in Hydreigon's case, as well as Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Suicune. Furthermore, Hydreigon can use Taunt to pressure bulkier teams and reduce pressure on Volcanion to use Defog. In return, Volcanion weakens Fairy- and Steel-types like Primarina and Mega Steelix for them.

Steam Eruption is Volcanion's best Water-type STAB move, coming with a high Base Power, reliably reliable accuracy, and a good chance to burn Volcanion's target. (AP) allowing it to in particular (the chance to burn isn't what allows it to ohko these pokemon) It can OHKO slower Ground-type Pokemon such as Nidoqueen, Rhyperior, and Mega Steelix after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast due to its higher accuracy and higher PP, while still retaining the ability to 2HKO Mega Aggron (RC) and OHKO Doublade. Sludge Bomb is Volcanion's best option against Fairy-types, in particular 2HKOing Mega Altaria and defensive Primarina, (AC) which would otherwise switch in freely since they (they resist its stab moves regardless of whether or not it has sludge bomb) both resist both of Volcanion's STAB moves. It is preferable to Sludge Wave due to the higher poison chance, which helps to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Latias, and Mantine for attempting to switch into Volcanion.

Shuca Berry can also be used to allow Volcanion to stay in against Swampert, which is otherwise risky to stay in against due to the high chance that Steam Eruption won't burn, especially against Choice Band Swampert which can OHKO Volcanion from full (does swampert really warrant its own sentence? why not just put it in a list with the other hazard setters that shuca berry lets you stay in on). Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Volcanion should be kept healthy where when possible in order to more reliably check Pokemon such as Primarina, non-Earthquake Mega Aggron, non-Earthquake Mega Altaria, and Scizor, especially if the opposing Stealth Rock setter has not yet fainted so it can continue to remove entry hazards. It should also watch out for coverage from these Pokemon, such as Psychic from Choice Specs Primarina (RC) and Superpower from Choice Band Scizor, (RC) because it leaves Volcanion susceptible to being 2HKOed the next time it comes in, and Primarina can survive one Sludge Bomb to 2HKO Volcanion with Psychic. If predicting a Pokemon such as Calm Mind Latias, Slowbro, (AC) or Suicune to switch in (RC) and if Volcanion does not need to use Defog, it is recommended to either use Sludge Bomb to attempt to poison the opposing Pokemon, or double switch (RC) to prevent Volcanion being used as set up setup fodder. Similarly, Volcanion should prioritise prioritize double switching when expecting Blissey to switch in (RC) to prevent offering it free turns to heal up, Wish pass, or set Stealth Rock. Volcanion should be careful about attempting to switch in against Scald users such as Empoleon, Tentacruel, and Starmie (not gp: don't these all wall volcanion? it seems like you would never actually do this unless you desparately need to get back hp, and then you would have to switch out afterwards. if it's not a reasonably common scenario i would remove this tip) in order to attempt to regain HP, due to the threat of either having its Shuca Berry or Leftovers Knocked Off item removed by Knock Off (RC) or being hit by Toxic, (AC) which severely limits its longevity. However, (AC) if Volcanion has already used its Shuca Berry or has a teammate with Heal Bell, it can more freely attempt this (RC) allowing it to and wear them down for its teammates.

Team Options
========

Defog Volcanion fits mainly on bulky offense and balance teams that appreciate a strong offensive entry hazard remover that helps to check checks Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor. Krookodile, Rhyperior, and Hippowdon are excellent options for Stealth Rock setters to pair with Volcanion, being able to check Pokemon such as Mega Manectric, Rotom-H, (AC) and Mega Aerodactyl for Volcanion it. Krookodile can also use Taunt on common entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon and Mega Steelix, helping to take taking pressure off of Volcanion to Defog, while Rhyperior provides a check to Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres, and Hippowdon can provide a switch-(AH)in to other threats to Volcanion such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, while more consistently checking the above Pokemon due to having reliable recovery in Slack Off. In return, Volcanion offers a switch-(AH)in to ("Water-types like"?) Primarina, which can OHKO all of them. Steel-types such as Mega Steelix, Mega Aggron, and Doublade are great partners, (AC) as they can check threats such as Nihilego and Mega Aerodactyl, (AC) which can OHKO Volcanion after Stealth Rock damage, and as well as Latias and non-Fire Blast Mega Altaria (not gp: for the "freely set up on Volcanion" part to apply, i think it should be "mega altaria with refresh / facade" instead, otherwise they run the risk of getting burned), (AC) that which can freely set up on Volcanion, provided Mega Altaria has not yet Mega Evolved. Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron can also set up Stealth Rock, while Doublade can check Terrakion. In return, (AC) Volcanion can provide a switch-(AH)in to Scald users such as Empoleon, Tentacruel, and Primarina (RC) while offering a secondary Scizor check. Pursuit trappers such as Choice Scarf Krookodile, Mega Aerodactyl, (AC) and Choice Band Scizor can help alleviate some of the problems Latias causes for Volcanion. Krookodile, (AC) in particular, (AC) also offers a valuable Electric (RH)immunity, helping to deal with Pokemon such as Mega Manectric and Rotom-H, while Mega Aerodactyl can help check Flying-types such as Togekiss and Moltres. Volcanion appreciates them (who do you mean by "them"? maero does not check maero or terrakion) helping to check threatening Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Terrakion and in return provides a swap in switch-in to Primarina and Scizor. Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Florges, and Togekiss are able to check Hydreigon, one of Volcanion's best checks. They can also all provide Heal Bell support (RC) in order to remove status such as Toxic poison or Thunder Wave paralysis inflicted by Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon, allowing Volcanion to more readily attempt to remove entry hazards from these setters. Sylveon and Florges can also provide Wish support, alleviating Volcanion's lack of recovery and letting it check Primarina and Scizor more consistently. In return, these Fairy-types greatly appreciate Volcanion removing Steel-types such as Scizor and Doublade, which in particular helps Togekiss in particular to sweep more easily. Mega Altaria can check and set up on Electric-types such as Zeraora and Rotom-H (RC) and deal with Calm Mind Suicune, (AC) which can set up on Volcanion. It can also help to threaten Pokemon such as Pyukumuku (is it true that malt beats pyukumuku?) and Blissey, and in return appreciates Volcanion being able to OHKO Scizor and Amoonguss, which can otherwise consistently check Mega Altaria and limit its sweeping potential. Hydreigon and Latias make good partners for Volcanion, (AC) as they can check Ground-types such as Swampert and Nidoking, while Hydreigon can also check Krookodile Swampert, Nidoking, and Krookodile in Hydreigon's case for Volcanion, which can allow Volcanion to more easily forgo running Shuca Berry in favor of Leftovers for extra recovery. Furthermore, Hydreigon can run Taunt to prevent Pokemon such as Swampert, Blissey, and Krookodile from setting entry hazards, which is useful as it takes pressure off of Volcanion to Defog, and to help break bulkier teams featuring Pokemon such as Mantine and Pyukumuku. Hydreigon and Latias can also help to deal with Calm Mind Mega Slowbro and Suicune, that would otherwise which can both use Volcanion as set(remove space)up fodder, and in return appreciate Volcanion weakening Fairy- and Steel-types such as Primarina and Mega Steelix. Pivots such as Mienshao and Scizor make for helpful partners to Volcanion. Assault Vest Mienshao, (AC) in particular, (AC) can switch into Hydreigon (RC) and can bring Volcanion in in into favourable favorable positions against common switch-(AH)ins such as Hippowdon, Primarina, Scizor, (AC) and Amoonguss that Volcanion can beat (redundant). Mega Manectric also pairs well with Volcanion, appreciating it breaking bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon that would otherwise prevent Mega Manectric from pivoting with Volt Switch, and can in return pressure bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Mega Slowbro that wall Volcanion, while taking some pressure off of Volcanion in checking to check Scizor.

Moves

Steam Eruption is Volcanion's best Water-type STAB move, coming with a high Base Power, reliably reliable accuracy, and a good chance to burn Volcanion's target, (comma) allowing it to and in particular the ability to OHKO slower Ground-type Pokemon such as Nidoqueen, Rhyperior, and Mega Steelix after Stealth Rock damage. Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast due to its higher accuracy and higher PP (RC) while still retaining the ability to 2HKO Mega Aggron (RC) and OHKO Doublade. Sludge Bomb is Volcanion's best option against Fairy-types, in particular 2HKOing Mega Altaria and defensive Primarina, (AC) which would otherwise switch in freely because they (they resist its stab moves regardless of whether or not it has sludge bomb) both resist Volcanion's STAB moves. (either do this or just put "which resist Volcanion's STAB moves") It is preferable to Sludge Wave due to the higher poison chance, which helps to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Latias, and Mantine for attempting to switch into Volcanion.

Set Details
========

Water Absorb offers Volcanion an a way to recover its health, albeit unreliable form of recovery unreliably, (albeit construction kinda forces me into fixing it this way) when switching in against targets such as Suicune and Primarina. Volcanion may opt to run 188 Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outspeed offensive Mega Altaria and Adamant Bisharp (RC) or 252 Speed EVs with a Timid nature to outspeed Adamant Mamoswine, although the loss of power is noticeable, preventing Volcanion from OHKOing Amoonguss (typo) after Stealth Rock damage, (AC) for example. (optional)

Usage Tips
========

Due to Volcanion's weakness to Stealth Rock, it should take advantage of its good matchup versus slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon, Mega Steelix, Rhyperior, and Nidoqueen and proactively attempt to proactively prevent them from setting Stealth Rock. Due to its respectable bulk and Shuca Berry, (AC) it can risk switching in on the former two and forcing them out with the threat of Steam Eruption thanks to Shuca Berry if it has high enough HP and keeping Stealth Rock off the field is a priority, allowing it to Defog as they are forced out by the threat of Steam Eruption, although it must watch out for Toxic when doing this. Volcanion can also make use of the switches it forces against Pokemon such as Primarina and Scizor to clear entry hazards when facing Stealth Rock setters such as Terrakion, Mew, and Blissey that it cannot beat. If Volcanion is running a Shuca Berry, it can also attempt to lure and take out faster Ground-types such as Krookodile and Mamoswine (RC) and can more freely swap switch in in against slower entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon to attempt to prevent or remove entry hazards (this duplicates what you said in the second sentence, so i would delete that and merge its contents here). (i'd just remove the full mention, i.e. everything after krook + mamo, at that point ngl) Shuca Berry can also be used to allow Volcanion to stay in against Swampert, which is otherwise risky to stay in against due to the high chance that Steam Eruption won't burn, especially against Choice Band Swampert sets, (AC) which can OHKO Volcanion from full (does swampert really warrant its own sentence? why not just put it in a list with the other hazard setters that shuca berry lets you stay in on). (optional but fine) It should also watch out for coverage from these Pokemon, such as Psychic from Choice Specs Primarina (RC) and Superpower from Choice Band Scizor, (RC) because it leaves Volcanion susceptible to being 2HKOed the next time it comes in, and Primarina can survive one Sludge Bomb to 2HKO Volcanion with Psychic. If predicting you predict a Pokemon such as Calm Mind Latias, Slowbro, (AC) or Suicune to switch in (RC) and if Volcanion does not need to use Defog, it is recommended to either use Sludge Bomb to attempt to poison the opposing Pokemon (RC) or double switch (RC) to prevent Volcanion being used as set up setup fodder. However, (AC) if Volcanion has already used its Shuca Berry or has a teammate with Heal Bell, it can more freely attempt this (RC) allowing it to and wear them down for its teammates.

Volcanion appreciates them helping to check checking (repetition) threatening Pokemon such as Mega Aerodactyl and Terrakion and in return provides a switch-in to Primarina and Scizor in return.

Fairy-types such as Sylveon, Florges, and Togekiss are able to check Hydreigon, one of Volcanion's best checks. They can also provide Heal Bell support in order to remove status such as poison or and paralysis inflicted by Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Empoleon, allowing Volcanion to more readily remove entry hazards from these setters more readily. First pass-through done; will give it another look to be sure.
