Tyrantrum @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Superpower

Head smash rapes.

252 Atk Tyrantrum Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Jolteon: 349-412 (128.7 - 152%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Tyrantrum Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Houndoom: 806-950 (276.9 - 326.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Tyrantrum Head Smash vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Sigilyph: 560-662 (195.8 - 231.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Virizion @ Lum Berry
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

Takes around 50 from HP Ice meaning Jolteon can't really stop Virizion. If Virizion gets a boost, then it can destroy this core with relative ease.

Escavalier @ Choice Band
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Drill Run

Samurott @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot

Escavalier works to damage bulky grass and fairy mons while whittling mons with knock off and pursuiting threats like meloetta, hoopa, etc. Samurott provides support to escavalier by beating fire types it has trouble with, i.e. mega camerupt, houndoom, etc. and significantly weakening bulky waters like seismitoad and alomomola through grass knot. Overall, this core covers each other's significant weaknesses and assists with damaging threats.

Medicham @ Life Orb
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Thunder Punch
- Fire Punch

Medicham takes care of this core very easily thanks to its pure power (see what I did there?) It has the coverage needed to take care of both mons as well as the speed needed to outspeed them.

252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham Fire Punch vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Escavalier: 499-593 (154 - 183%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham Thunder Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Samurott: 333-393 (100.6 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Also, just saying..
252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Escavalier: 324-382 (100 - 117.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Samurott: 430-507 (129.9 - 153.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm / Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Venusaur destroys this core, Leaf Storm / Giga Drain KOes Samurott, while Hidden Power Fire KOes Escavalier.

252+ SpA Life Orb Mega Venusaur Hidden Power Fire vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Escavalier: 348-411 (107.4 - 126.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Mega Venusaur Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Samurott: 447-530 (135 - 160.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hitmonlee @ Life Orb
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- Mach Punch
- Rapid Spin

Hitmonlee shows no mercy as hjk just obliterates the core.

252+ Atk Life Orb Reckless Hitmonlee High Jump Kick vs. 174 HP / 0 Def Escavalier: 331-390 (102.1 - 120.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Reckless Hitmonlee High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 4- Def Samurott: 437-515 (132 - 155.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Usually people post offensive threats to the core, which is something I've never understood because usually offensive cores are posted, and it's obviously to not have switchins to fast offensive mons when you're an offensive core (except for some rare case). So I'm going to post a defensive core that threatens this core pretty well:

Alomomola @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Mirror Coat
- Scald

Emboar @ Leftovers
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect
- Superpower

Mirror Coat Alomomola with these investiment can easily switch on a Samurott Grass Knot, and OHKO back with Mirror Coat, while Emboar takes care of Escavalier, and it really appreciates the huge wish passes Alomomola gives.
252+ SpA Life Orb Samurott Grass Knot (60 BP) vs. 120 HP / 252+ SpD Alomomola: 190-224 (37.9 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Escavalier Drill Run vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Emboar: 278-328 (65.5 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Mirror Coat and Flare Blitz respectively are OHKO

Hoopa @ Salac Berry
Ability: Magician
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt / Nasty Plot

Hoopa's ability to switch into the variety of Psychic weak Pokemon and HJK spammers that threaten this core massively makes it the ideal partner. A Sub Attacker set OHKOs all the offensive threats mentioned above, as well as a few others. Salac Berry is helpful late game to get you out of a bad situation and clean up the foe's team. Also SubPlot + Salac Berry is helpful if your team needs a wincon. Thunderbolt hits Alomomola, making Hoopa able to handle fran17's core decently, but not amazingly. Hoopa has few flaws, but its frailty and unability to switch into Hitmonlee makes it worse but still really good.

Calcs Of Terror
252 SpA Hoopa Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Venusaur: 338-402 (112.2 - 133.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Hoopa Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Medicham: 372-438 (142.5 - 167.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Hoopa Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Hitmonlee: 480-566 (199.1 - 234.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO (keep in mind you may have to play around this with SubSalac)

252 SpA Hoopa Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Emboar: 272-324 (64.1 - 76.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (requires prior damage, which should be doable with Samurott / other team members)

252 SpA Hoopa Thunderbolt vs. 120 HP / 252+ SpD Alomomola: 248-294 (49.5 - 58.6%) -- 69.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (can't calc Mirror Coat, but I would imagine it would do a lot or at least an unwanted amount -- if you Sub, however, you should be fine)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that you can beat Hitmonlee if you Sub or Psyshock on the predicted switch

This core is so fresh, fun as heck but yeah, kind of weak to everything so enter one of my favorite mons to use to the rescue

Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Psychic / Energy Ball
- Heat Wave
- Roost

Provide a real neat fighting type check, really appreciates escavalier getting rid of meloetta and hoopa, and decimating diancie, checks virizion pretty well which is a problem for these 2 and a secondary grass resist is always nice to have cause of some grass types carrying hp fire so escav isnt as solid. Also provides above average speed to the core which is pretty nice. A sash thunder wave can work as well if you want some speed control even.

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Synthesis
- Knock Off
- Sludge Bomb

Tyrantrum @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Superpower

Samurott @ Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Taunt

ok this core comprises of tyrantrum, samurott and venusaur. Venusaur is a potent wallbreaker with an excellent grass/poison stab combination as well as the ability to rid bulky checks of their item through knock off. Tyrantrum, with the scarf set, can be considered a very nice revenge killer with the 150 base power move, and complementing venusaur in removing golbat. While the venusaur and the samurott assist in getting rid of mega steelix and rhyperior which can be considered v problematic for the dino. The samurott is a standard wallbreaking set with taunt so subdue mons like alo.
deadline: April 30th

Medicham @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Thunder Punch
- Trick

Medicham threatens this core by outspeeding all the mons with choice scarf and hitting them hard with devasting stab moves like high jump kick and zen headbutt.

252 Atk Pure Power Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Samurott: 297-351 (89.7 - 106%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Pure Power Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tyrantrum: 444-524 (145.5 - 171.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Pure Power Medicham Zen Headbutt vs. 232 HP / 0 Def Venusaur: 372-440 (103.6 - 122.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Accelgor @ Life Orb
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 252 SpA / 28 SpD / 228 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball
- Focus Blast

Accelgor is super-fast, and with some hazard support can easily go through this core. It's powerful STAB and coverage attacks can do hefty damage coupled with spikes, and Accelgor doesn't have to worry about the Scarf Tyrantrum because it outspeeds anyway. The weird EV spread still outspeeds Scarftrum and guarantees that Venusaur's Sludge Bomb will not OHKO without prior damage (Venusaur should be your first target).

252 SpA Life Orb Accelgor Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyrantrum: 434-512 (142.2 - 167.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Accelgor Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Samurott: 283-335 (85.4 - 101.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after 2 layers of Spikes
252 SpA Life Orb Accelgor Bug Buzz vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Venusaur: 160-188 (53.1 - 62.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after 2 layers of Spikes
252+ SpA Life Orb Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 28 SpD Accelgor: 253-300 (84 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Ok, another core!

Virizion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Drapion @ Lum Berry
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Aqua Tail
- Poison Jab

This core is centered around two mons that set up and support each other. In terms of weakness, Virizion covers Drapion's ground weakness and Drapion helps with Virizion's poison weakness. A majority of drapion's checks such as mega steelix and blastoise can be easily handled by Virizion. While drapion helps in handling psychics that can give Virizion trouble such as Meloetta, Sigilyph and Hoopa.

Deadline: May 3

Delphox @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Grass Knot

Without Stone Edge on Virizion, Delphox becomes a monster. Virizion has no real way to hit it and is easily OHKO'd by Fire Blast or Psyshock. Drapion dies to Fire Blast after taking Stealth Rock damage, and still has a high chance of dying without. Since Delphox is faster than Drapion, Drap cannot use its dark typing in order to check it.

252 SpA Life Orb Delphox Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Drapion: 270-320 (96 - 113.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Delphox Psyshock vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 408-484 (125.9 - 149.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Virizion Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Delphox: 99-117 (34 - 40.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Fletchinder
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Def / 28 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

With the ability to take hits from Virizion and Drapion, Fletchinder is an immediate threat when it sets up swords dance and kos both mons after rocks with priority acrobatics.

+2 252+ Atk Fletchinder Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Drapion: 247-292 (87.9 - 103.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Fletchinder Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Virizion: 1416-1668 (437 - 514.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Virizion Hidden Power Ice vs. 152 HP / 0 SpD Fletchinder: 112-133 (36.9 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Drapion Aqua Tail vs. 152 HP / 0 Def Fletchinder: 248-292 (81.8 - 96.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

More flags more fun
Since DK has left Smogon and Chakra is pre-occupied with running PotW, I have been given ownership of this thread. So without any more waiting here is the next core.

Mawile @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Play Rough
- Stealth Rock
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Fire Punch

Both of these Pokemon provide offensive and defensive synergy to each other with Mawile covering Flygon's Ice and Fairy weakness and Flygon handling Fire-types and a switch into Ground-type attacks. Mawile can also pass a Swords Dance boost to Flygon to aid it in cleaning late game.

You may now post threats! Deadline: May 11

Take Azelfie

More flags more fun
Since I don't want this thread to die off I'm going to go ahead and put up a different core.

Sawk @ Choice Band
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab
- Zen Headbutt

Fletchinder
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Def / 28 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost

Sawk is often paired with Fletchinder because of its amazing ability to break down Steel and Rock-types which Fletchinder despises. It also loves having hazard control so it may use its ability Sturdy to its full extent which is pretty handy since Fletchinder already wants hazard control on its team in order to not have to deal with Stealth Rock.

You may now post threats! Deadline: May 28

BIG G CHOPPA

Banned deucer.

Meloetta @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- U-turn

To start off im aware that its past the deadline but no one posted :( but anyways meloetta is a threat to this core as it outspeeds sawk and blasts it with a psychic, but meloetta in return cannot obviously come in on it as it risks getting killed and or dented severely. Same with fletchinder, it dies to a psychic but cannot switch in on a +2 fletch or as it goes for acro since it has a high chance to 2 hit ko. I'll post calcs below to demonstrate what i mean.

252 SpA Choice Specs Meloetta Psychic vs. 152 HP / 28 SpD Fletchinder: 349-412 (115.1 - 135.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Fletchinder Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Meloetta: 168-198 (49.2 - 58%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Choice Specs Meloetta Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Sawk: 554-654 (190.3 - 224.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Sawk Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Meloetta: 418-492 (122.5 - 144.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Diancie @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Trick Room
- Moonblast
- Earth Power/Psychic
- Diamond Storm

This is a really good offensive core and not much can do well vs it, but offensive trick room diancie is a huge threat to this core. It can handily OHKO sawk with moonblast and still avoids the OHKO from cc, so it can win 1v1 with trick room up. Diancie also takes close to nothing from Fletch's acrobatics, and it can even OHKO the thing if it's burnt, so it wins 1v1 regardless of the conditions unless it's at like 10% or something.
0 Atk Life Orb burned Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 152 HP / 76 Def Fletchinder: 400-476 (132 - 157%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Fletchinder Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Diancie: 47-56 (15.4 - 18.4%) -- possible 6HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Sawk Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Diancie: 220-259 (72.3 - 85.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Diancie Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Sawk: 468-554 (160.8 - 190.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Diancie Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Sawk: 296-351 (101.7 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Slowking @ Choice Specs/Mind Plate/Colbur Berry/Assault Vest/Whatever the fuck
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Trick/Signal Beam/Nasty Plot

Tbh any set can work here, especially CM. Specs Slowking is an extremely underrated set, though Colbur defensive or offensive is more effective as well, luring Sawk in to click knock off on a weakened king. comes in on fletch, tanks an acro, scald, switches out, comes in and kills Sawk. Easy.

Absol @ Life Orb
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Superpower
- Iron Tail

Absol can offensively handle Meloetta (Sucker Punch), Diancie (Iron Tail), and Slowking (Knock Off). It can prevent Psychic-spam against the core, and seconds the help of Sawk in aiding Fletchinder by carrying Superpower. It can also help against Ghosts which threaten Sawk. Carry some special attackers because the addition of a third physical attacker is somewhat redundant.

Escavalier @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Knock Off

Basically, this core is hurt really badly by psychics as well as Diancie. This is where esavalier comes in, being a great psychic check with its ability to tank psychic attacks with assault vest and be able to pursuit trap psychics as well as straight up OHKOing them with megahorn while also beating diancie with iron head. With the addition of escavalier, the team becomes heavily physical and semi-redundant, so you will want to add some powerful special attackers like flygon onto the team.
