[OVERVIEW]

  • In a tier where the dragon typing is not as prominent, raw power being the main threat and a greater variety of checks and counters, Clefairy calls on its natural bulk, access to calm mind and clerical skills to be of use in PU.
  • A lot of steel and poison types around makes it difficult for clefairy to work well
  • Can be used as a good wall to the growing prominence of fighting types (be wary of gunk shot)
  • can be used as a reliable rocker
  • Its lacking offensive presence means it can be used as setup fodder

  • Juvenile Clefable doesn't have the gift of unaware so the ability of choice is wonder guard which is still a great asset as it can be used as toxic fodder.
  • Moonblast is Clefairy's main power output, being stab a high base power.
  • Clefairy due to its bulk is capable of safely setting up Stealth Rocks on most of the meta bar its counters.
  • Soft Boiled adds to Clefairy's Longevity on the field being able to recover health without switching.
  • Knock Off can be used to cripple item dependent mons which switch in or help tackle the mon clefairy faces on the field in turn.
  • Flamethrower helps dealing with steel types on switch-in much easier.
  • Heal Bell helps load Clefairy out for being put as a full cleric roll on the team.

Wish passing can be used in conjunction with heal bell to kit clefairy out as a full cleric. Physically defensive variants are also used to better combat physical attackers.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel Types**: Aggron, Mawile, Togedemaru are issues

**Poison Types** Weezing, Qwilfish, Skuntank hard to deal with

**Setup Sweepers**: Describe why the Pokemon is a threat.

Other spitball things:
Can stall out mesprit and certain variants of archeops but not suggested to be a hard wall to
