Bronzong

Overview
########

Pros:
  • Amazing ability in the form of Levitate
  • Excellent bulk and typing allows it to check many threats including some of the new ORAS Megas
  • Access to Stealth Rock further extends Bronzong's utility, letting it come in and wall certain threats while making it harder for them to come back in later
  • Bronzong has many interesting options littered in its support movepool such as Trick Room and Screens that let it function on multiple different team archetypes
  • Has excellent synergy with the tier's wish passers, mitigating Bronzong's lack of recovery
Cons:
  • Psychic is a poor defensive typing in RU and this leaves Bronzong very vulnerable to RU's strong Ghost and Dark types
  • Due to its lack of reliable recovery Bronzong finds itself heavily crippled by Knock Off and reliant on Wish support to not be worn down.
  • Bronzong has low offensive stats and poor offensive typing, this leaves it reliant on Toxic more often then not as its main damage dealing option which makes it potentially easy setup fodder for Pokemon that run Substitute or are immune to Toxic

nature: Sassy / Careful

Moves
========
  • Stealth Rock is arguably the best move in the game and allows Bronzong to support its team with passive damage and wear down the opposing team
  • Gyro Ball is Bronzong's most powerful STAB and allows it to have some offensive presence against faster Pokemon, Iron Head can be used for more PP and consistent power.
  • Earthquake has decent neutral coverage alongside Bronzong's Steel STAB and lets Bronzong hit other Steel Types, Fire Types, and Electric Types from coming in
  • Rock Slide is a decent alternative in the third slot to hit common switch ins like Moltres and Fletchinder for big damage when they come in.
  • Toxic allows Bronzong to make up for its low offensive stats and chip away at opposing Pokemon's health

Set Details
========
  • The EVs allow Bronzong to best check threats such as Mega-Sceptile, Mega-Pidgeot, Exploud, and many of the tier's other special attackers
  • If running Gyro Ball use a Sassy nature and 0 speed IVs to ensure maximum power on the attack.
  • If using Iron Head run Careful Nature as Bronzong doesn't care about its special attack and doesnt need to purposely lower its speed
  • Leftovers is the item of choice as Bronzong lacks its own recovery and passive healing allows it to avoid being worn down as quickly
  • Levitate allows Bronzong to check some physical attackers and gives it an extremely useful ground immunity
