Deoxys-Speed @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Psycho Boost

Simply set up hazards, at least 1 layer of spikes would be perfect on this team...

upload_2017-5-3_23-49-59.jpeg

Lucario-Mega @ Lucarionite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch

And then just SD up on Arceus-Dark that will try to defog. Because you just 0hko every single mon at +2

+2 252+ Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 392-462 (93.3 - 110%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and that's a guaranteed 0hko after Spikes
+2 252+ Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gengar-Mega: 248-294 (95 - 112.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Celesteela: 438-516 (110 - 129.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Adaptability Lucario-Mega Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 56+ Def Groudon-Primal: 362-426 (89.8 - 105.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Should i really post damage on Darkceus and Ho-oh ?

I was gonna post that core too... I got sniped

This is my core for this time:

Zygarde-Complete @ Leftovers
Ability: Power Construct
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Rest
- Thousand Arrows
- Dragon Tail
- Sleep Talk

Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 240 HP / 184 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Aromatherapy

Not much to explain for this one. Zygarde is physically bulky and hence can take hits from the physical mons like pdon and ho-oh. Rest here is very handy as the team has a lot of toxic mons, and also restores it to full health. Thousand arrows also helps to hit mons like celesteela and ho-oh.

Xerneas helps to take care of zygarde and darkceus if they switch in to zygarde. If required it can also set up and use thunder on celesteela and ho-oh. Aromatherapy helps to get rid of status and also wakes zygarde up after it has used rest.

Hope u enjoyed reading and may the best core win.

Literally any hard hitting setup sweeper backed up by a solid suicide lead seems to do the trick.

YW I need to stop fangirling over dank MM2Y.

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash / Groundium Z
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Sucker Punch
- Memento

Mewtwo-Mega-Y @ Mewtwonite Y
Ability: Insomnia
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psystrike
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam

Duggy helps in getting the rocks up and also traps in the only mon in the opposing team that +1 MM2Y can't OHKO - Groudon. Memento is a decent exit strat even against the given team and lets MM2Y get a easier time to setup and/or stops Arceus from defogging. +1 MM2Y can then run through the team with the 3 given moves.

KyogreF4N y u snipe mang ;_; I wanted to post MLuke too tbh.

Sorry for delaying this by a day.

Anyways, despite being the one hosting this project, I felt like I should post a core myself since I find this pretty effective.
Mega Mewtwo + Alolan Muk

Mewtwo-Mega-X @ Mewtwonite X
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Low Kick
- Stone Edge
- Ice Beam
- Taunt / Recover

Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Atk / 176 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Clear Smog
- Shadow Sneak

Mega Mewtwo is able to OHKO Arceus-Dark and Ho-Oh with Low Kick and Stone Edge respectively while also scoring 2HKOs on Zygarde and Celesteela, as well as a high chance to 2HKO Primal Groudon after SR damage. The only Pokemon coming in MMX's way is Mega Gengar which is why Alolan Muk is added to the team. Pair this core with a Stealth Rocker like Primal Groudon and Support Arceus forme to provide the team a defensive backbone and it's all good to go!

Sorry CKW for interrupting the thread. I just had an idea that I wanted to bring up which would help users be more active. My proposal is do old gens team. I know this is in sumo sub forums but I've been wondering for a long time now where do we get to talk about old gens. All the other threads from oras and down got locked. Anyways I think you did something like 2 sumo teams in a row then throw in an old gens (bw2,Dpp,Adv). Idk if this allowed or not but I think its worthwhile to at least try because I think it will boost activity on this thread. just an idea :)

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into this and decide on something after a bit of discussion with our mods.
As for the voting stage, it will end in 24 hrs. Been a bit busy with exams and couldn't maintain a proper schedule but it won't be an issue from next round onwards!

Alright, for this week of Break This Team, I've decided to post one of mine own teams!

This is basically a hyper offense team built using the core of Dialga + Yveltal + 4 Setup Sweepers. Dialga provides Stealth Rock support and carries Fire Blast to hit catch Steel-types off-guard and helps its teammates a fair bit. The rest of the team isn't much different from standard sets except for Mega Salamence that has a Jolly Nature to check Mega Lucario and Darkinium Z Yveltal that can blow back any support Arceus forme other than Fairy and Dark.

Here's the importable!
Dialga @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Toxic

Salamence (Salamence-Mega) @ Salamencite
Ability: Aerilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 64 HP / 252 Atk / 192 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Double-Edge
- Facade
- Roost
- Dragon Dance

Groudon @ Red Orb
Ability: Drought
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 160 HP / 240 Atk / 36 SpD / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Precipice Blades
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge

Arceus @ Life Orb
Ability: Multitype
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Yveltal @ Darkinium Z

Meant to write this up earlier, oops.

Tapu Lele @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness

Deoxys-Attack @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Rash Nature
- Psycho Boost
- Ice Beam
- Superpower
- Psychic

The lack of a scarfer on this team means that it has to rely on priority users to revenge kill Deoxys-A. That's where Tapu Lele comes in; its Psychic Terrain blocks both Arceus's Extreme Speed and Yveltal's Sucker Punch, allowing Deoxys-A to take care of most of this team. Under Psychic Terrain, Deoxys-A has a chance to OHKO literally everything on this team; PDon, Xern, and Arceus with Psycho Boost, Yveltal and Mega Mence with Ice Beam, and Dialga with Superpower. If Stealth Rock is up, it gets the guaranteed OHKO on everything and doesn't even have to worry about Psycho Boost Special Attack drops because Psychic is a kill. That leaves this team with the only real way of beating this core switching around to stall out Psychic Terrain turns and then coming in to revenge with Yveltal/EKiller once the field condition is up. The Deoxys-A user can easily take advantage of this with some prediction though.

252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. 160 HP / 36 SpD Groudon-Primal in Psychic Terrain: 422-499 (110.7 - 130.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Psycho Boost vs. 72 HP / 100 SpD Xerneas in Psychic Terrain: 575-678 (139.9 - 164.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. 72 HP / 100 SpD Xerneas in Psychic Terrain: 372-438 (90.5 - 106.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Psychic vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Arceus in Psychic Terrain: 343-406 (90 - 106.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Psycho Boost vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Arceus in Psychic Terrain: 532-628 (139.6 - 164.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Ice Beam vs. 64 HP / 0 SpD Salamence-Mega: 785-925 (226.2 - 266.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Superpower vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Dialga: 322-380 (79.7 - 94%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Yveltal: 408-481 (103.8 - 122.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
20 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Attack Superpower vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dialga: 322-382 (94.4 - 112%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Deoxys-Speed @ Light Clay
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 244 Def / 24 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock

Xerneas @ Fairium Z
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 248 Def / 12 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Deoxys S effectively highlights Xerneas's sweeping potential by setting up dual screens. Once the scene has been set and it's the appropriate time, you can unleash the beast and proceed to Z-Geomancy and dominate.

Anyone that uses the team above might try to lead with Yveltal, in hopes to get away with Taunt/Oblivion Wing shenanigans but eventually, down the road the outcome will always be the same - one devastating Xerneas sweep.

Edit: Since this core is primarily seen on offensively-packed builds, you'll most likely utilize a SD Groudon in your arsenal, which can also help you soften the team a little before the final blow, if necessary.

Arceus-Ground + Yveltal + Magearna

Sets:

Arceus-Ground @ Earth Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 Spe
Bold Nature
- Judgment
- Ice Beam
- Defog
- Recover

Yveltal @ Dread Plate
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Taunt
- Sucker Punch

Magearna @ Leftovers
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Heart Swap
- Fleur Cannon
- Flash Cannon
- Pain Split

This Balanced core walls his team. Arceus-Ground Checks leading Dialga with its bulk and Defog for Hazard removal and also checks Primal Groudon. Yveltal checks Arceus-Normal and Mega Salamence by its Physical bulk and Foul play. Sucker Punch works as a good Priority move. Magearna checks Yveltal and Xerneas. His Yveltal isn't using Heat Wave so it is an advantage for my Magearna to check it. Heart Swap swaps boosts with Xerneas and kill it.
