Has anyone else experienced higher than expected frames when RNGing for starters?

Something interesting I noticed: on my HeartGold, when restarting for a shiny starter, I seemed to get a very high frame (close too 100). In my SoulSilver, I get 1/5/9, depending on starter.... I guess this should be tested (male characters on both for me). If someone does get 1/5/9 frame...

Posting success on this- however, I did have to move the date forward and experiment with my common frame (I was resetting for Totodile, common frame was 101), after about 5 or so resets actually trying for it, success. Confirming that you do see the Pokemon shiny when looking in the pokeball...

I probably should double check that the frame for a certain seed stays the same while in the lab then? Also, apparently you can tell if the starter is shiny or not when looking in the Pokeball- would this mean that the first Pokemon I look at will cause an increase in frame?

I totally forgot what I knew about frames - what causes what it starts at? The seed? EDIT: I'm trying to soft reset for a shiny starter. Like you said, there isn't anything in the building where you get your starter to increase the RNG. So should I get the same frame for the same seeds? Or the...

But the frames for each seed should be different, but the same seeds should have the same frame, right? EDIT: And what about seeds with the same delay?

He doesn't seem to move though until you go to leave the lab- does he not increase the RNG then? EDIT: I'm using a CycloDS Evolution so I can use the IV Check code. Another question: do I use Method K (for HG) or Method J (because it's a starter)?

Well as the building where you get your starter doesn't have any moving NPCs, I guess I should test and see if I get the same frame every time, then just use that frame when searching for shinies?

Attempting to RNG a Shiny Starter in Heart Gold, is 128 steps the only way to increase the RNG?

How come in Wichu's program I keep getting spreads that have delays under 200? I put in for delay 595 to 602!

In Wichu's program, how come in the second column I can get 6 digit numbers (6 digit frames)? Can it go that high?

Ah, it must be because they are two different Pokemon. It is not of the chances shown. mingot will probably be able to explain this.

What was the % that you were looking at? The percent's are of the Pokemon's female chance. So if the Female chance is 50%, you look under the 50% column.

Those are regular spreads (not shiny). @mingot, Is route 210 split into 2 different zones? (NPCs from one zone won't affect frame in the other?)
