maybe they had something to receive but not something to send

what was the reason they couldn't do it in the original

in the original i think they were trying to stay undetected and maybe thought that they didn't trace the beaming? who knows. It's a lophol

the technology in Star Wars is kinda funky, know what I mean? Like in 1977 Lucas could make up whatever he wanted

but then technology advanced so rapidly that in some cases it is kinda weird that we have technology they don't have.

like how the Millennium Falcon doesn't have any sort of user verification, so it can get stolen over and over. holograms that can only display shades of blue etc.
Man I think one of the best parts about Ghostbusters was how short the climax was

like Gozer appears and shows how powerful (s?)he is and then becomes the Stay Puft man. And then they shoot the Stay Puft man and it dies. That's it.

When that happened I actually thought "ok, here we go, a tedious 20 minute boss-battle action sequence" that I really didn't want to sit through. And in another movie maybe they would do that, but they didn't here, like they knew that would be the reaction.. Really amazed me actually.

and it's not like that quickness felt cheap or pointless either. Because it was the payoff for the earlier set-up of not crossing the streams. they just didn't waste a bunch of time with pointless action sequences before coming up with the idea.

an example where this didn't happen was Suicide Squad when the Enchantress fights them for a while and then is like "enough" and takes away all their weapons.

    yeah iagree
This morning I was gonna tell you it would be an interesting idea if Adam Sandler tried to re-invent himself after his recent failures and starred in a Tarantino movie

I found out a few minutes ago he was supposed to play The Bear Jew originally
You know what I don't get? Why didn't Wonder Woman just roast Doomsday with some lightning and shit like she did to Ares. Is Ares stronger than Doomsday btw?

I guess I wanted him to be more subtle because the whole point was that throughout the film, he was subtle. He represented the tendency of human beings to turn to conflict. He's like the devil: he tempts people, but never makes them act against their own nature. He even said as much.

But then he turns into this "end of the world" monster. Why even create wars when you can destroy all the shit yourself. Or why even be subtle about it? Anyway I still think if they wanted a big fight it could be exciting without so much stuff being thrown around. IDK.

I guess it's just a problem with the DC world existing in film but only select parts of it. In the grand scope of the DC universe, having Greek gods be real is just one of many fantastic things. But in this, Ares should be a way bigger deal. Like what the heck? A guy who is basically the devil is real? How does that not change literally everything.

He was just lonely and wanted Diana to be his friend, ok?? He wasn't trying to destroy the whole world he just wanted to bop her around a bit so she'd submit to him

"people say that you think there are only blood and guts in the human body, but do you know there are bones as well?" it was a joke, like theres so much blood in his movies but not that many bones. So he was just trying to make a funny joke

See that made me think it was something super complicated that he couldn't get it out but like what

some people in the comments interpreted it as a criticism of the super violence in the movies

I will admit it's hard to make a sarcastic joke like that with a strong accent

Coleman has a master's degree in psychiatric social work and was a consultant for the Maine Youth Suicide Program for nearly a decade. He authored several manuals and trained over 40,000 professionals and paraprofessionals statewide.[4] A specific concern continues to be cases of murder-suicide among the young as well as the possibility of clusters (e.g., teen suicides, school shootings, workplace violence, and domestic terrorism) and the influence of media coverage,[8] leading to his writing the books Suicide Clusters (Boston: Faber & Faber, 1987) and The Copycat Effect (New York: Simon and Schuster, 2004).[9] He has been called on for statements in the aftermath of school shootings and how best to respond to the problem, mostly by the Canadian media.[10][11][12]

"This should be a series: saving trash songs"

This video is like 100x worse than the original. Because it lacks any sort of charm, and they don't even change pitch like at all. So it's not funny and perhaps actually worse musically than the original song.
